GeneralDirection: Here are the perks of working for Wargaming:We can purchase removed
premium vehicles like the Type 59 and KV-5, assuming our account
has the gold to purchase it. This does not include alpha/beta
tanks, the pre-order tanks, those tier 10s that were on the Common
Test, or any unreleased tanks. Those are off limits, even for
us.
We get to work for an amazing company that is doing awesome stuff--not just in video games. Who'd imagine when they applied for a company that makes games, that they would actively participate (and in some cases design) initiatives to preserve history?
We get to have red names in garage chat.
We get to sometimes travel to other countries to meet the development teams and our colleagues across the world. Here are the restrictions:We're not allowed to participate in eSports tournaments. The exception being the Escalation event this past weekend, which was designed as a casual tournament that we wanted to field a team for. We tied for second in our group, so I'm fairly proud of our team.
We're not allowed to defend land in Clan Wars. We can participate in landing tournaments, but if we win the land, we can't defend it. We haven't done this yet, but we're thinking of some fun ideas to run random stuff where we mix things up on the map a bit.
We're not allowed to participate in contests or in-game events (except for the obvious x5 first victory, vehicle discounts, etc.). If we place in automated events like this past weekend's MVP, we're excluded and the next person in line is included instead.
We have to unlock and purchase all vehicles like everyone else. We also have to earn crew experience and purchase equipment like everyone else.
We do not get any special kind of ammo, or camouflage (except during sheriff events). We also have to purchase premium ammo just like everyone else.
We cannot select maps, except for a limited developer flagged account. Those accounts are generally used to create the trailers and other videos we release, so very few people actually have that account flag. It's actually primarily dummy accounts only used for videos.
We don't get premium account status by default; we have to purchase it with our gold. So basically, except for the ability to purchase removed premiums, we're players just like you.
