{lang:macro__view_post}Dogzman, on Mar 16 2014 - 19:10, said: Cool looking tournament format, although maybe a bit complex. Will be interesting to see how this goes down.   Couple questions:   Like Moguai asked above I am curious as to what % the weekly prizes are based on: a) Is it against your possible points earned? i.e. if everyone loses at least 1 game in a group with 8 games (24 possible points)  no first is given out since the highest score would 21 points (87.5%) b) is it against your group? (i.e. the top 10% of point earners in your group win 1st) c) is it against everyone  (i.e. the teams who scored the top 10% of scores based on points earned/points possible of every team that participated)   Also, about the returning 6 member rule(s).   So you have 10 people on a team the first week. The 2nd week you come back with 6 players from the first week, and 4 new players. Now on the third week who are the 6 that need to return, is it the ORIGINAL team, or the team that participated in the latest week? Can I bring 6 people from the original week's team that may not have been on the 2nd week into the 3rd week and it count as a returning 6? Or is it the opposite, can a team switch out players as much as they want as long as at least 6 people come from the prior week?

dance210:   Hopefully, most of the complexity will be on our end. Teams just need to worry about keeping the same team name and at least 6 players...we'll take care of updating standings and who played where, when :)   The correct answer to which teams make up the top 10% is c). It is the top 10% of all the teams across all groups. That percent is determined based off the points earned vs. total points possible in that group. This will account for different group sizes.   The overall standings and overall prizes are calculated the same way, just across multiple weeks.   The returning 6 members are based off the first week that the team participates. So you can bring your returning 6 players plus four additional players to week 2. For week 3, you again bring 6 returning players plus four additional players; however, those 6 players do not all have to have played in week 2. Of course, the 6 is the minimum that needs to return; teams can keep the same 10 players throughout all the weeks if they wish.   Let me know if y'all have any more questions!

Captain_Judo:   15th International Brigade & T-34 took the final two playoff spots out of your group based on head-to-head results.

{lang:macro__view_post}Cazador_nocturno, on Mar 15 2014 - 20:45, said: Hi, when will the ties be resolved?

Captain_Judo:   There's no need for any tie-breaker matches. Ties are automatically resolved based on our tie-breaking criteria listed under the 'Victory Conditions' on the tournament page.

{lang:macro__view_post}TurboT, on Mar 15 2014 - 22:28, said: Hey Captain,
Thanks for the long day I am sure you are putting in here.  I am confused by these seedings and how you've worked them out.  I'm not really the 'whiner type' but is their some formula you could share here?   As an example, I added up all the points for IQ_ARMY.  Over the three rounds they have a total of 48 pts.   My own squad, BOSS Gaming, has a total of 52 pts.    I understand on the rule page it shows the last round as having higher priority, but I don't see how someone who has less overall points in the tournament can be ranked FORTY SPOTS higher.   Apologies to IQ_Army for using them as the example, I just picked one out of the list as a comparison.

Captain_Judo:   There's no formula. We're simply evaluating teams according to win percent (points earned/ points points possible). And this is weighted toward the later rounds. It's weighted this way because of the strength of your opponents in group stage three as opposed to group stage two and one.

{lang:macro__view_post}vodean, on Mar 15 2014 - 22:31, said: why is the seeding by points rather than points/games played... we got a small group every round... rip   or actually let me just ask how it is done...

TragicLoss:   I suppose I can grind both the IS-7 and start from my M7 to the T-57.   I was mostly looking at the E5 since I like the T32/T29/M103, but I should stop going down lines that I'm going to stop at tier 8 just for the sake of having a really good tier 8.

TragicLoss:   For the longest time I wanted the IS-7 because I really liked the KV line as a whole, but as I go up the tiers I'm wondering how viable it is in CW because a large percentage of my clanmates don't use it or tend to use the E5 or the 57.

View Postfarmerman1379, on Mar 15 2014 - 23:00, said: Ahhhhhh, well I personally wanted the IS-4 first, and am buying it on Monday, first tier 10 and can't wait :) I'm prolly gunna get the 113 as my next t10 heavy tank just because I like the way it plays and the tanks leading up to it, IS-7 will fall somewhere after that as I do want it, just not that bad.....

TragicLoss:   I've wanted the IS-7 mostly for it's trollish armor, but as I go up the line and as I hear about CW I see that the E5 seems to be a favorite.
