DomoSapien: Hey Folks, You've probably heard "WGC" or "Wargaming Game Center" mentioned before at one point or another. It originally came out for ships and planes, supported all our games, and allowed you to use a single login/launcher to play all your favorite Wargaming Titles.
Well, our WGC team has been hard at work making improvements to the launcher, so we wanted to get everyone acquainted (or re-acquainted) with the Wargaming Game Center!
It includes a bunch of cool features, which you can check out by reading the article on our news portal here.

TeriyakiTanker:   I have personally played Tiers 4-9 and really love the Tier IV and oddly enough the Tier VII so I will keep those and the Tier IX for sure.  The Tier 5,6, and 8 I didn't like that much to be honest so I do not consider them keepers with the Tier V being a particular stinker and of course the state of Tier 8 MM makes most grinds at that Tier particularly painful.

  Congressmen get paid, what, $175k/year? That's some damned good investments to make that kind of worth. OK, DiFi got her money the old fashioned way, she married into it. Newsom, he's basically bankrolled by Gordon Getty.  Either way, I am not fortunate enough to have a net worth in the 8-figure dollar bracket like those folks. My net worth is in the low 6-figure bracket only because of 401k savings and the fact that house prices in San Francisco have been stupidly increasing the past few years.  I suspect, even though I am not in their position, that yes, they are a little out of touch with our problems. I commuted in traffic 90-minutes each way, a not a-typical commute in my neck of the woods. Di-Fi has a driver, and Congressmen have special privileges that they don't have to wait like us mere mortals at things like TSA lines at the airport.    This is not to begrudge them their success. They're rich, good for them. But that doesn't mean to say that they cannot be out of touch with the common citizenry at the same time. Their lives decades ago were.. well... decades ago.

Senator_Ratbat:   The best possible scenario is the addition of situational PvE where players are tasked to solve a specific problem. I'm old school Nintendo and they nail game mechanics reinforcement without you even realizing you are being taught ( example: https://www.youtube....h?v=ZH2wGpEZVgE). Something like this would require dev work but i'm looking at the tools we have in publishing to also facilitate teaching and reinforcement in-game. To learn a new behavior and make it stick you need realtime feedback and reinforcement. You did a thing and because of the thing here is the appropriate reward. We're still at the concept phase of examining what we can do with in-game tools but the point is to put all the teaching in-game as much as possible and augment with cool tutorials we produce internally or through contributors and other resources (Youtube vids for example) that we can highlight.

DomoSapien: I believe this is part of a marketing campaign our guys are cooking up, all kinds of different offers etc. are being sent out to all kinds of different players, most if not all players can expect to see a special promotion of some kind, but I unfortunately don't have a list of offers or how they are being sent out.

The issue affecting the majority of players has been resolved.  If you still cannot connect to the game server, please re-launch World of Tanks and give it another go, if that doesn't work please submit a ticket.

In addition to the boosters given out to those keeping us updated in this thread, all players affected by the issue will receive 1 day of premium time and 2x 1hr 50% Credit, 100% XP, and 200% Crew XP boosters.  Please allow up to 7 days for the mass compensation to reach you.

Senator_Ratbat: The previous team was spearheading this initiative but there was no roadmap to move it to where it needed to be as a teaching tool. The best way to teach players WOT is to have these mechanisms in-game and there is some work being done beyond bootcamp to facilitate this. Stay tuned!

DomoSapien: Well, different tournaments are meant to entice different types of players. Since the Global Map is ongoing, we do have plenty of endgame content currently available for players of that skill level, and this is geared towards less-experienced players who might benefit from the boosters more than they would from Gold.   We've simply been trying to diversify our prizes a little bit and offer more than just Gold every week. And we do usually give out at least a couple thousand USD worth of content every weekend in tournament prizes. But we definitely appreciate the feedback and we'll deliberate to see what we can do about having more tournaments with hefty Gold prizes.

We heard everyone's feedback about the cap times, which have been increased, and we heard everyone's feedback about the length of the tournaments we've been having, which is why we've been doing our best to set them up in a way where you only have to play 6 or 7 battles (roughly 1hr - 1.5hrs of gameplay, last weekend's Mastery and Challenger tournaments took less than an hour to complete.)   On a somewhat related note, if you have literal thousands of boosters, I suggest you start popping those bad boys whenever you get the chance to log in and play. A 50% XP boost is like a free 1-2hrs of Premium Time, sort of.

This usually happens right after the tournament registration opens, but I just created a test team for this weekend's tournaments and didn't run into any issues. If the problem persists, please send me and Jambijon a PM with a list of players for your roster and we will manually create your team for you.

GENERAL HOUSEKEEPING NOTE: All payouts for tournaments have gone out, with the exception of Cosmetic Styles + Medals for Silver & Gold Cup, and all prizes for Gold Cup & Grand Final.
I noticed a couple errors in the logs for the payout so if you have any concerns about a prize not being delivered, please PM me and Jambijon (Make sure we're both participants in the conversation) with the following information:
