Subject: [Superteste] 114 SP2
Link on message: #12730141
Link on message: #12730141

KRZYBooP: Howdy Boom Jockeys! The Chinese Tier X tank destroyer 114 SP2
will soon be joining the Supertest. The first thing that is worth
mentioning here is the vehicle's relatively weak armor. Even its
frontal armor plates don't get thicker than 135 mm. The vehicle has
a specific power of 15.6 h.p./t which enables it to reach speeds of
up to 45 km/h. Total HP: 2,000.This tank destroyer comes equipped
with a 152 mm gun fitted in a 360-degree revolving turret and
boasts 650 HP of single-shot damage, while armor penetration by the
standard armor-piercing and special APCR shells is 273 and 329 mm,
respectively. Besides, the vehicle features an aiming time of 2.3
s, an accuracy of 0.35, and a reload speed of 16.6 s.For such a
large machine, the 114 SP2 presents a nice combination of good
mobility and high firepower. Just keep in mind that you can always
compensate for the weak, vulnerable armor by resorting to
positional combat.

KRZYBooP: A map for Standard BattleSize: 1050x1050 mSetting: tropics
1) The main area for an
encounter of well-armored tanks is located at the shoreline under
the central mountain ridge. Several control points, as well as the
option to go above the area of the main encounter, make the
gameplay there very intense.

2) The
inner area of the map. An open, hilly zone with vegetation that
allows for both active and passive light tank gameplay.

3) The
main area for a medium tank encounter. Diverse terrain, plenty of
cover, and opportunities to fight at close or long range allow
different types of medium tanks to unlock their potential in this
line of attack.

4)
Upper path for taking a dangerous detour around the main encounter
area.

5)
Main positions for poorly armored tank destroyers and medium tanks.

giveaways, and do one between every game. Or something like that.
Then you reward ONLY your viewers, but make them frequent enough
that they are not discouraged. And keep the current rewards. And
then also a makeup code for the ones that had to miss out.
Another idea is LESS uses, but more codes during the stream. So I
think you said you do 750 codes during the stream, so maybe do 7
codes with 100 uses each. These are just ideas I get because
I get the purpose of the codes, but I'm also a code junkie lol. You
guys can discuss them, or not, I am a little kray kray. And I don't
know the logistics on how give-aways or codes work, so consider I'm
the code's Tyrone Bigguns. We do appreciate the stream and
the codes. Thank you!

I can consider other types of giveaways and other interactions (We have stream bingo on Tuesdays!), but I prefer keeping Weekly Watchers as it currently is with room for improvements versus operational changes to distribution.
I am coming up with more ways to do giveaways currently and I'm always hoping that people don't just come to the streams for giveaways (it's really discouraging when the first time someone chats in our stream is "Giveaway? ". It's a fine balance. It's one reason I don't like doing them often. I want to reward regulars and encourage people to become regulars or at the very least 'irregulars' who come to the streams every now and again to even just to ask a single question and then lurk.
Working as Intended is a great source for information and clarification and if people don't find that worthwhile, that's okay. I want them to know it's available to them and if they end up liking it, they get a nice little bonus in the form of a weekly code that gives them some boosters, consumables, and an end of the month bonus for attendance to multiple streams.
Like I said before, I'm not here to cater to people who don't watch the streams. The reward isn't large because that would encourage more code leakage. it's a reward that's nice enough to pick up the code during the second hour of our Tuesday stream or the makeup code after our Thursday streams every week or so. It's not really any effort at all. I don't expect people to start watching the stream just to get free rewards all the time.
I am just making sure the reward is nice enough for the people who support our streams and participate without it seeming like a bribe to watch.

Felipe6666Original: ¡Saludos, Comandantes!
Segunda Guerra Mundial. Imágenes https://imgur.com/a/1OorU8c El hueco a
pruebas. ¡Dejen sus opiniones! ¡Mucha suerte en el campo de
batalla!

watches it regularly.
I'm really not here to cater to people who pick up the code outside of the stream. It's a punch card for a free coffee at your favorite cafe.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I'm not sure what else to tell you.
Sass intended.

from having to type it in within minutes (to keep from having to

better rewards, harder missions with better rewards, etc. I think
it would increase viewership, and allow them to do more intensive

people would participate regularly. I've been out of the loop since
Thanksgiving for the most part, so I'm not positive how many times
she did this through the holiday season. Hopefully it's something

Thanks for the suggestions!
The codes are limited as they are intended to be a reward for those who come to the streams on a regular basis. Kind of like a rewards card, a lil bonus for our regulars.
The make-up code was to help those regulars who wanted to keep up the streak bonus, but maybe had plans uphold (family comes first!).
I definitely understand the hope that players get the code from this thread, but increasing the limit has had zero impact on the viewership. I appreciate Warchild's code thread and we've spoken about best practices as to be respectful to the intent behind the Weekly Watcher Code.
Unfortunately, this also means regardless the code will find its way to forums/discords/social media so there is no way to stop the spread, and increasing rewards would only increase the possibility and the reward for those who get the code outside of stream time.
Quick Edit:
The use amount is by no means "small" 750 for the Tuesday one and 1000 for Thursday. Our average viewership is around upwards of 350~. Essentially double the viewers get the code before the stream end, which means not only do those watching have a possibility of missing out, but that means viewers are spreading it so quickly that 750 people use it within the stream time and we see none of the benefits.

stabbymckill: Good morning Tankers, After much debate and discussion
between The Chieftain, Cabmech and myself we have decided on
winners for both categories of the contest! It was not an easy
decision and we ended up discussing it over the course of the last
three days. However, we have indeed come to a final decision and I
am pleased to announce the following:
Traditional category Top Three
First Place: AMX-13 By LordSeaCow.
The almost photo realistic build of AMX-13 "Duroc" of the 11 regiment de chasseurs in it's non standard paint as it appears in a period reference photo was simply incredible. As Chief put it "it looks like a real vehicle". Amazing work, well earned first place!
Additional images and description LordSeaCow's
description I chose the Tamiya 1/35 AMX 13 because I love the
French lights and it seemed like a very unique kit. I based my
model on a historical photo of an AMX 13 that was part of the 11
regiment de chasseurs stationed in Berlin during the early part of
the cold war (http://www.chars-fra...singen 1970.jpg). This
regiment was painted in a black color instead of the normal French
army green of the time. I built the kit with some additional
photo-etch parts and airbrushed base colors with acrylic paints.
Weathering was done with a mix of oil, enamel, and acrylic paints.

Second Place: Tiger 1 Ausf E by Boblord69
Above and beyond work on the overall diorama and excellent figure painting skills.
Additional Images and description
Boblord69's description
Tamiya base model, Aber barrel, Aber photo etch set, Friulmodel tracks, tiger model design turret, Figures are dragon and tamiya.Airbrushed Tamiya paint and weathering with oils and pigments.

Third Place: Tie
We have a tie for third place, between two unique builds of which both are lesser covered subjects in AFV scale modeling
Somua S-35 "Henrique" by Stat_McPadding
Lovely work and weathering on this S-35 and as Chief put it, it is indeed shiny like most of the real ones tended to be. Well done!

Additional images and description Stat_McPadding's description
I built this model straight from the box, without any aftermarket parts. Tamiya paints were used for the colours. Weathering was made with a pencil for the steelshowing beneath the worn paint in the corners. Dusty effects were done with MIG pigments, using the dry brush technique.

JGSDF Type 61 by PWT32
Not something you see too often in modelling. Well done, especially at the smaller 1/72 scale. We appreciated the full matching diorama as well.

Additional images and description PWT32's description:
Japanese Type 61 (Fujimi 1/76)
Tier 8 tanks in WOT have frontline and Tier 10 vehicles get special skins, but what about Tier 9? They are the most economical to run but don't get anything special in the game. For my Tier 9 Japanese Type 61 I created a new "skin" to turn my tank into a Mountain Sniper. A special 4 color camo provides all season cover, thick camo nets are provided to increase the camo rating, an infrared spotlight for night fighting and additional fuel is provided via a 55 gal drum attached to the rear of the tank. I used a 1/76 Fujimi kit as my base and added some tissue paper tarps to cover my gun, camo nets made from Gauze bandages, a resin 55 Gal drum mounted on the hull and Value Gear tarps were added to the turret rear. The smoke dispensers and spotlight came from the kit as optional parts. Antennas are thin electrical wire cut from an old cord. Kit was painted with Tamiya paints and weathered with AK, Mig and Citadel washes and pigments. Of course I parked her in an old school WOT garage slot with extra equipment stacked around the tank. I only have 1 barrel mark on my Type 61 so that's what she got - hand painted on the fume extractor. I provided a size comparison photo (4) and an in progress photo (5) to show the add-ons to the kit before painting.

Special
achievement award
Simply for overall herculean effort, we had to recognize Zalsbak and his fully 3D printed and remote controlled T26E3 with Chuck Norris as commander. Amazing work!
Additional
images and description Zalsbak's description
Completely designed and 3D printed from scratch, this 1/25 scale Eagle 7 roams the streets of Cologne under the command of none other than Chuck Norris himself! Top secret technology (an Arduino, old cell phone batteries, and small electric motors) is built in and will soon allow bluetooth control of the tracks and turret. After thorough filling and sanding to remove 3D print lines, all parts were primed, spray painted olive green, and hand brushed with acrylic to apply dirt, wear, and weathering details. The backdrop buildings were inspired by 1945 Cologne architecture and are constructed in a similar method. Slight changes were made to the tank design to better facilitate 3D printing of some elements. The turret, commanders hatch, cargo box lids, and all guns are moveable. The tool box, repair kits, water cans, and engine covers can be removed. Track sections are separate 3D printed parts connected with 1mm metal pins.

Finalists, Runners up, and Honorable Mentions:
M48A3 by RUSTITOUTZ2
M-10 in Normandy by ThunderingBull
Jagdtiger by Mangat0mCromwell by BartBandKV-1 by Panzer767yM48A5 by Catosan
Wespe by Duster 47

cualquier cosa. ¡Hasta tengo un top 4 de mis
favoritas! Vehículos de colección: "¡VAN A QUITAR TANQUES PARA
SIEMPRE COMO EN BLITZ!" - Hay gente que aún sostiene que quitamos
al Hetzer... Equipamiento 2.0: "¡NOS ESTÁN ROBANDO LOS CRÉDITOS
INVERTIDOS!"
¡NO VAN A DAR
HELLO KITTY!"

Bueno, no terminó
pasando.
HE

citados. Grande abraço!

Well, it's not a consumables sale but there is currently a 50% off equipment sale going on in NA! So make sure you take advantage of that, and I'd be more than happy to put in a good word with the Monetization folks about the fact that NA players are waiting for a consumables sale

your name, near the bottom is "Account management". Then click the

verified, otherwise it'll fail. We don't do any checking on this
end.

DomoSapien: There's a lot to unpack here and I don't want to overexplain too
much because pretty much every assumption you've made about
tonight's show couldn't be further from the truth.
Today was our first Friday back in office after the holidays. Talkin' Tanks is tentatively scheduled for every other Friday from 6 - 8 PM, as prep time and involvement from our guests permits. The idea behind the show, and the idea behind, say, KrzyBoop's creative stream, is to incorporate more content variety into our stream schedule.
Quite frankly, I didn't even realize this weekend is Team Clash. I completely forgot because I've been slammed with messages and projects, catching up from being on vacation for a week. And honestly: It's an EU event. We've got something in the works for NA but it's too early to share info in that regard because it's still being worked on - and I honestly have next to no info about it because I'm not involved in that project.
I am, however, involved with "Talkin' Tanks". The goal of tonight's show was to hang out with a fantastic group of content creators that we have the priveledge to work with, whom we consider personal friends - while hopefully directing some extra eyes towards their weekly co-stream, "WoT Now!?"; Combined across all 3 of our streaming platforms (twitch, Facebook, and Youtube) we had about 300 peak viewers. I can pretty much guarantee you that the viewership Mailand, Dez, Skill, and AEG are going to be receiving this weekend will far exceed 300 viewers (or the ~130 we had on Twitch.)
We, NA Staff, interviewed and ran platoons with NA Contributors, on our NA-centric channel, and it so happened to coincide with the EU Team Clash event. Taking the spotlight away from Dez, Skill, AEG, and Mailand was not the goal, (or even an afterthought, for that matter, because it was never something we set out to do.) and if you were to ask them personally I doubt any of them even noticed that we were streaming. The good news is that the Team Clash event is running all weekend, so you can still show support for your favorite EU CC's by tuning into their channels until 6:00 AM CET on January 11th!
That said, while I have everyone's attention, please check out the EU Team Clash event, but also check out the NA Contributors we interviewed tonight. All 3 of them are really an amazing group of folks, and they are quite deserving of your support. Far moreso than lil' ol' me and the talk show I cohost.
