Quemapueblos: Some of you may have heard already (or just noticed my new sig) but I am leaving the brotherhood of team Clam Wars for bluer pastures. A new horizon awaits me. This is where the montage of my life in CRD fades in. Cue music:     Now that I am leaving Clan Wars, I going to miss the all the lying, backstabbing, more lying, interesting use of profanity, learning new expletives, the torches and pitchforks and all those conversations in dark smoke filled rooms. Thanks for all the fond memories from my time in CRD. A serious thank you to all that have helped and hassled me to where I am today and Subversions were Hypnotik's idea.    Good night, you princes of CRD, you kings of [EDITED]

Tier 5 is a good tier to learn the mechanics of the game, positioning, and outsmarting your opponent.   Take the time to build up your crews, start with 6th/repairs on your heavies, 6th/camo on your TDs, work from there.    Once you feel more capable in tier 5, then head up to the next tier and so on.    Also, if you have a few minutes, watch some streams. Anfield, quickybaby, etc.   Edit: And make sure to have lots of fun, if you're not enjoying it, there is no point.

HBFT:   I would like to second watching streams and games as a good way of improving.  Additionally, platooning with players who have skills that you would like to learn will also help you to improve your play as well.   There is nothing like putting yourself in an experienced player's position, and seeing things from their viewpoint, to get you to ask yourself why they do what they do and how you can apply that to yourself.   There are lot of strong players on the forums who I'm sure would love to help you to improve. :)

I introduced my son to this game a few months ago and we played a few games together remotely and had terrible results. This weekend he came to visit from college, allowed me to set up his tanks and crews and played the game in the same room giving each other real time commands. Although we only had a small sample size, 38 games, we won over 60% of them and were consistently in the top 4 in each game. The funniest thing was I would out damage him but he would get the kills, thus his new nickname "The Kill Stealer". I was sorry to see him go, not only for my stats, but the awesome fun a dad and son can have playing a game. I think I got him hooked as he was not having fun at a 22% win rate. Now he is over 51% and talking smack. Someone even invited him to a tank company. What a difference coordination makes when a Chi-Nu-Kai tag team can have a 66.6% win rate over a nine game stretch. Two tanks rolling together concentrating fire can be unstoppable.Went like that the whole weekend. I am not sure it would be as fun using mumble or team speak, as being able to look at each others screens in real time was awesome, but it would help. We going to give that a try when school is out and have to play remotely.Had such a fun time just wanted to share.

HBFT:   That is such an awesome story. :) Experiences like that are what make games so memorable (our ability to connect with other people, especially ones that we care about).  Thank you for sharing such a wonderful story with us! :)

HBFT:   Goodness!  Awesome job! :) I personally enjoy the US tree just because I like to shoot over undulations/hills, although the Soviet vehicles are oodles of fun and the British Tank Destroyers are pretty fun to drive and just hum the Imperial March at the same time. :P

RibbleRabble:   This is an awesome idea! Good luck everyone. Keep at it!  :izmena:

The_Chieftain: Sorry, Sherman, I can't agree with you. We can blame his 'lack of journalistic integrity', certainly, but we also have to blame things like Wehraboos and History Channel for not arsing themselves to check their sources or look for alternate opinions. I find it difficult to blame an old vet, as near as I can tell, writing from memory, for making honest, if rather egregious errors, in relating what he knew to be true. I don't believe there was any malevolance or intent to deceive on his part.

Rules Page  1.2  Prior to the launch of the event, the map will be wiped: All actions made by players will be cancelled. Revolts and Ransacking will be disabled. Income from Ransacked provinces will be restored. All chips and headquarters on the World on Fire map at the time of the wipe will be available for the first turn of the event.

Hypnotik:   This means that if you are on the World on Fire map and wish to participate uninterrupted, it would be best for you to stay on the map. All chips which are deployed on the map will be turned green after the wipe. All chips that are cooling down during the wipe will keep their cooldown timers.   If you are currently on the regular Sandbox Map, you must remove your chips/HQ prior to tonight's prime times in order to have those chips/HQ available for the beginning of World on Fire tomorrow night.   World Redivision/Event Rules   Following the wipe, the first night of the World on Fire event will be under World Redivision rules.

All provinces will be initially owned by [NPC] Civilians (with the exception of two provinces owned by Wargaming - Maryland and Houston, Texas) All provinces will become a ‘Landing Zone’ The maximum number of challengers in a Landing Tournament is 32. If there are more applicants, 32 challengers are selected for the tournament at random. Victory is rewarded to the attacker in the case of a draw in the Battle with Landowner Ransacking and Revolts are disabled.

Hypnotik:   After the initial night of World Redivision, the map will be limited to Tier VIII tanks and the event rules will apply.     Other Useful Links: World on Fire main page World on Fire map World on Fire regulations World on Fire VP/FP Guide   Good luck!

Now you have made one of my players (redflame_rayan) the captain of my team, how can I get my captain postion back? Week 1: -snip- Week 2: -snip-

dance210:   Captains were randomly chosen from any of the 6 players on the new team.    If it means that much to you to be captain, you can ask the current captain to assign it to you.

HBFT: Garage   I do play World of Tanks, but I do not have the number of tanks that some of you have posted.

{lang:macro__view_post}Gryphon_, on May 05 2014 - 08:00, said: Gold received, thank you!   Question: this was my first tournament, and I want to play more. What is the relationship between the WGLNA Preseason and Summer Season? Do we get invites if we did well enough? I don't understand how this all works....

dance210:   The Preseason was something for the League teams to do during the downtime as well as an introduction to the 7/42 format for any new teams.   The Summer Open league will have a normal qualifier, with the top teams being eligible to play in the Open League for the Summer. No teams will get an invite to the Open league from the Preseason.
