The_Chieftain:   Without speaking for the devs, contemporary has very little to do with it. M4(75) and Tiger I were contemporary, but they hardly belong in the same tier. I don't like the way they dealt with the M60 issue, but downtiering the M48, I'm not sure is the answer,

dance210: Alright guys. For now, play through the rest of the group as planned.   We're working on figuring this out. Don't know if the first battle will be rescheduled, or just nixed or what. I'll let you know as we get a handle on what's going on.   Sorry :(

The_Chieftain:   I've asked some American Dinotankers, apparently there is no simple answer. For example, one chap posted that the TC would set the frequencies, but the loader would switch them once set.

The_Chieftain: Speaking of Tigers in Kasserine, I ran across a debrief in the Tank Destroyer Board archives this week, in which the guy basically affirms, repeatedly, "Yes, it was a tiger,. My guy snuck up on it, observed it for several minutes, and it absolutely was not a MkIV" I'll post up the document when I find it amongst the scores of photos I took.

dance210:   The playoffs are simply based on your final position. If you won in your group, you won first place.   The final group stage standings + gold payouts can be found here. It looks as though Dark Striders won 2,500 in the group stage. Not sure about the Playoffs though.

The_Chieftain: The whole vets thing has been brought up before, and i've shot it down before for the reasons already mentioned. But mainly because i have absolutely no idea what a Brazilian equivalent to a DD214 is, or Canadian, or Mexican...   I am not happy that folks who served on M60s (and yes, the slick 60 did enter sevice) cannot earn them, but i'm also not about to advocate just giving them away.

KMaus: First off, solidarity. As a publicly terribad n00b myself, I feel your pain. Here's a few tips / info I've learned:

- first off, ignore the haters. I get called a bleeping-bleep-bleep tomato, Lord only knows HOW many times a day.
Yes, I'm a tomato- I only started playing recently. It will be a long time before I'm good, that's a LOT of battles. People are going to be making fun of my score for a long time coming. So, I can either get miffed about it (which is rather not do), or I can ignore them. Anyone hating on a n00bs stats is a huge "thank you, captain obvious, let's move onto something productive." So ignore em.

- don't be the guy I just described above, to other players. N00bs gotta stick together. \m/

- it takes a lot of battles and time to get really good at this game. But there's a lot of people who invest and get really good. What that tells me, is that it's worth it. And when I can tell I've improved, and I watch my stats go up, it's like that in-the-gym cliche "feel the burn!!" Excitement. Keeps me playing even when I suck or get frustrated. And trust me, I even look like a pansy n00b on our Wargaming Twitch streams.

- pick a clan you like, if you don't have one already (mobile site doesn't show me). Add people you like playing with on the battlefield, and find people to platoon with. If you like playing games socially, this can be a huge game changer (pun intended) for some players. It can also keep down the amount of randoms in your game, if that bothers you.

- I hope you stick around and keep playing! Thanks for posting :)
