The_Chieftain: That said, I don't believe that AGF had abandoned the doctrine that said that the TDs shouldn't be up on the front lines hunting tanks. But regardless of how the German vehicles were being killed, the fact remains that they were. The docs in Italy were asking for the 76mm tanks, but somehow AGF and ETO don't ascribe the proper conclusions,

The_Chieftain: That's not entirely true. The US had encountered Tigers in North Africa, and I believe in Italy (Certainly Panthers and Ferdinands). But, yes, they were not common.

dance210:   Initially at least I plan to switch out the personal boosters every few weeks, to get an idea of what people like/don't like. Credit booster will likely be part of Skirmish V.     I know it just started, but any feedback is important: do y'all like/dislike being able to earn the Premium time? The free experience? What booster(s) are better than others or does it not matter?

dance210: Hi Tread_And_Shred!   I am a bit confused, what do you mean it's too late to sign up? Stand-To's are a daily tournament with registration open for 2 days. That means that every day a new registration is opening. In a few hours we will close the registration for the tournament today, and open registration for the tournament on Wednesday.   The "golden children" are likely tournament regulars who are used to searching for open tournaments...once you get used to when we normally open registration, it gets much easier  

dance210: zazel is correct, the best way to go about looking for a team would be a) create your own or b) reply to the forum post stating that you are looking for a team. If you say you need a team, it is generally helpful to tell everyone which tanks you have at that tier, as well as which day(s) you are looking.   We're constantly trying to find ways to make it easier for newer tournament players to find a team, so please let us know what you think!!

The_Chieftain: Speaking of Australia, the good news, I'll be sunning it up in Cairns later this week. The bad news, it's rainy season. The good news, I upgraded myself to business class. The bad news, it's United, not Qantas. 

The_Chieftain:   I have always maintained that Wargaming/World of Tanks has performed a great service to the modelling and AFV military history worlds by providing inspiration.  

The_Chieftain:   I strongly doubt it. For a company which can leak like a sieve, there are some secrets which are iron-clad and still surprise me that they've been kept quiet for so long. This is looking like one of them.

The_Chieftain: They did as of two years ago when I last visited. I seem to recall the elevation mechanism was broken on one of them.

The_Chieftain:   Meh. I know something you don't know.... :p And it's jaw-droppingly beautiful. Will still be a wait, mind, but worth it.   At the higher tiers, initial DD kills are due to guns. Speaking of, I get my Gearing back this weekend.

dance210: Hi GHR1227!   Apologies if there was a mix-up in the number of players allowed to participate yesterday We'll take a double and triple look today, to make sure it doesn't happen!   To explain why the numbers are so different. For these Stand-To tournaments, teams could register with as few as 3 players and as many as 7 players. The maximum allowed in any battle is five.   The minimum number required for registration was reduced because a team could have a 3-man composition with enough tier points to go against a five-mean team. This gives teams a bit more flexibility in what they want to bring (small team with higher tiers or larger team with more low tier tanks).   I'm not sure if that explanation actually makes any more sense, sorry if it doesn't

Trevzor:   We're not saying that you have to play in the Fantasy League to have a chance. If you want to keep destroying Tigers and Pattons in the hope to be one of the two daily drawings you are more than welcome to. There are 8 drawings left at 2 names a drawing, so there are 16 KRs left for that event. There are also 2 more match nights with 6 tanks a piece to win from the Fantasy drawings. Each event requires the player to successfully do something in order to be entered. The only difference is that the Fantasy drawing also have SOME REALLY SMART AND DEDICATED PEOPLE who are practically giving away entries.   In the end, the choice is yours and yours alone. Good luck!  

Trevzor:   I can't say that I completely understand your question. I can say that I personally don't know the number of entrants per day yielded from the two in game missions. I only know the winners, who are posted HERE.

ElPozoleOlmeca:   Sadly that tuition assistance isn't free which means either way you're going to find yourself in debt one way or another if you want to experience the full College/University ride and unlike other debt, Uncle Sam does not let you forget that assistance. 

Trevzor:   I would disagree.   Last night there were 1450 players on the Fantasy WGL site that scored over 2000 points (entering them in for the drawing for the KR that night.) Six players are drawn from that group leaving you with a 1 in ~240 chance to win a Patton KR. I'm fairly certain that those are better odds.   Protip: Both ninjagumby and Oxmathus scored over 2000 points last night in fantasy. If you were to pick the exact lineup that either one of them picked you would have been eligible to win a Patton KR.   You can find ninjagumby's post regarding picks that is updated each match night HERE   You can find Oxmathus' post regarding picks that is updated each match night HERE     Our next match night to be entered for a drawing for the KR is Tuesday the 19th. The_Chieftain:   Good point.   I really don't know if I like QDU or not. I have it on DVD, and I'll watch it from time to time and enjoy it, but I can't really say it's a good movie. It's more like a bad movie which has a number of great sequences in it.

The_Chieftain:   I guess you're enjoying it, so. I've clocked up over four now (We get time-in-service rank insignia, so Wargaming says I'm a "Lieutenant". Which is a surprise to the Army, probably). It's rare that one has a job one really, really likes, I think.

veganzombiez: Hey guys,   In the Penalty System guide, there is this info box:   "The first three missed battles, as well as battles missed due to technical issues, are not counted and do not lead to penalties."   The "first three missed battles" are lifetime for your clan, and were not reset for the Fourth Campaign.  Thus, if you had three penalties during Season 1, any penalties incurred during the Fourth Campaign will be "Penalty 1", and count as your first warning.  The second penalty will count as "Penalty 2", and impose the first set of restrictions.   I will be working with the content team to clarify this in the current guide, and I will request that there are separate Penalty Systems for Seasons and campaigns.   <<>>   If you have a Season 1 penalty counting against you right now, despite having no penalties at all during the Campaign, send in a screenshot of both the "Active Penalties" and "Penalty Log" to Clan Management support.
