dance210:   When I tried to add it to your Financial building, it gave an error and said the building was not ready. If your building won't accept the reserves, I can't add them. I plan to try again tomorrow.

dance210: All active tournaments can be found by searching the Tournaments Home Page. Interested in what we having coming up? Check out the July calendar!  A player has two ways to register for the Platournaments! When you create the team, make sure that you are using the correct registration!Register as a Team! Registration works the same as normal. Team captain makes a team and recruits players to join. A complete team has 3 - 4 players. Captains do not need to submit their team; all teams with the minimum number of players will be accepted. The team is now ready to fight once the tournament starts! Register as a Solo player or as part of a Party! A party is a group of players that does not meet the minimum team size requirements. Create a team. Teams do not need to be confirmed; all players will be accepted for the Solo/Party Registration. Once registration has closed, the player will be combined with other solo player(s) and/or a party to form a complete team After registration has closed, players are encouraged to check back to find their new team!  So how do you register as a solo player? It's easy! When you create a team, there will be Registration Option with a drop down menu. Simply switch from Register Team to Register Solo and you are ready to go!

If they find you, you (and your platoonmates) will receive the M4A1 Revalorisé and five lucky viewers watching your stream will receive seven days of Premium time! When: Saturday, July 23rd from 6 - 8 pm PT How will they find you? You can leave a link to your Twitch stream below so staff (and other players!) can watch you destroy the enemy tanks. Staff will also search through Twitch for anyone streaming World of Tanks and platooning. The most important thing to remember is that you must be in a platoon to earn any prizes for yourself or your viewers! See you on the battlefield

The_Chieftain: Well, here's your counterpoint. When anti-gravity is sorted out (or at least, hover tanks) are they still tanks?   In the shorter term, however... Advances in wheel technology have resulted in wheeled vehicles below a certain weight being as mobile if not better across all terrain types as the equivalent tracked vehicle. Now, is the requirement for a tank to be "heavily armored" or to be "heavily survivable"? If, all of a sudden, we discover that EM armor, active defenses and whatnot provide the same level of effective protection to a 30 ton vehicle as a 60 ton vehicle has today, can it not perform the same functions of a tank? Surely a tank is a vehicle which combines high levels of survivability, acceptable mobility, sustained presence, and a direct fire weapon system. Does it matter if it's tracked,wheeled, has a laser cannon or rail gun? So, by logical extension, I would argue that a wheeled tank is not far in our future.

dance210:   Team size changed after registration closed and all teams were accepted.   We are planning to stream the final match against WGA staff. This would require having an observer account on each team. If this were to happen, we would need the team size to be increased to 8; since I'm not sure I can increase it after battles start, I preemptively increased in to prepare for the Final match to be cast.

dance210:   Groups were just created. Sometimes there is a delay between registration closing and group creation due to meetings or other work responsibilities.   The number jumped because all teams with the minimum number needed to register were accepted for the tournament. We have done this with other tournaments.     Good luck to all the teams!

The_Chieftain: Yes, I am quite familiar with the Irish trad group. They've been around a while.   i'm not familiar with T30E2   walter, without detracting from the thrust of your recent op Ed, I do make two observations. One is that I do not believe that tracks are a requirement for a tank. I define a tank by its ability to do a role, not its physical characteristics. Secondly, there is a video going around recently of a new John Deere in a tug of war with an 18hp steam tractor. The latter won. Don't forget, hp is just for speed, not hauling power. That's why steam locomotives were usually rated at drawbar pull.
