Grimbru:   The reality is that there are less cheats in WoT and gaming generally than people would like to think.   Missing at close range can happen when you're getting excited and don't let your aiming reticule shrink,  or when you are generally rushing the shots. Bouncing on the rear can happen, often when you're angle of fire is all wrong, but just because it's the rear does not mean a guaranteed Pen. ^^   Unfortunately some gamers have a habit of screaming 'Hax' rather than looking at what they might have been doing wrong. :)   Another thing people mistake for cheating is lag. If you or your target have a high ping you're more likely to miss each other. You may even see tanks teleport or 'rubberband' on rare occasions. Again, this is just lag. 

Ectar:   The stream will be pretty different for how we've done it in previous years. It won't be 5 days for example with all the trailers and video's of what's happening on stage like last year or the year before. We'll announce the stream schedule pretty soon.

W4RGAMER: Da denke ich siehst du zu schwarz. Durch die schwachen Seiten muss man mit dem Ding nach wie vor sehr vorsichtig sein. Man wird vielleicht mal einen guten Push fahren können, aber im freien Feld dürfte sich der P als Opfer erweisen. Aber warten wir das ab. Mal sehen wie sich das entwickelt. Jetzt habe ich auf jeden Fall einen Grund auch mal die Porsche Linie anzuspielen.   

W4RGAMER: Wenn du den deutschen die echten Kanonen gibst müsste da beim Tiger die 88mm L56, beim Königstiger die 88 mm L71 und beim Panther die 75mm L70 drauf. Schau dir das mal an und überleg, ob das wirklich das ist, was du willst.   

W4RGAMER:   Ist ein durchaus relevanter Punkt. Trotzdem denke ich, dass der Buff sich eher als nützlich erweisen wird. Aber auch hier: warten wir das ab.   

W4RGAMER: Das halte ich für weniger sinnvoll. Dadurch bliebe der Panzer ja genau das, was er vorher war: eine deutlich schlechtere Alternative zum E 75. Gerade im Panzerungslayout unterscheiden sich die beiden ja.   

W4RGAMER:   Die Maus hatte nie eine überragende Frontpanzerung als Markenzeichen. Das ist eher IS-7 bzw, E 100 Gebiet. Besonders an der Maus ist ja, dass sie von allen Seiten ziemlich gut gepanzert ist.   

nRicochet:   Nein, da wird's keinen Shop geben. Jeder, der eines unserer Spiele spielt, bekommt eine Goodie-Bag und ansonsten bekommen die, die an unserer Bühne stehen, natürlich auch hier und da mal was zugeworfen!

Grimbru: Hi mariner1,   The most important bit of advice I was given by the guys here was don't try to rush through the tiers too fast. The learning curve takes a sharp turn at about tier 5, particularly if you are in a light tank or one that is considered a scout. Around tier 4 or maybe 5 (depending on your tank) is a nice place to sit in and learn the game, I have found.   As the guys here have mentioned there are a host of youtube videos you can watch that will be a big help. Other than that, learn the maps and get used to recognizing tanks. You can hit [Alt] to switch from the player name to the kind of tank he's in. After a while you'll start to learn which tanks and even which guns you simply can't go up against, and those that you can risk taking a hit from.   Welcome to the game and the forums by the way!

Wysch:   Cool article. Can't agree with it tho.   Why do people say "I play for fun"? They usually don't tend to say it unless they're forced to say so. (Usually.) Who's making them to say so? Those people, who call them "noobs", "tomatoes" in World of Tanks etc.   I am a noob and tomato, I don't care, cause the reason why I play games is not to compete and be better than someone else. I played the game cause I was tired from work or school and for me playing games was mainly the way how to relax my brain. Thus I even didn't care about winning or losing, some of us simply don't feel that way. We play games because we want to enjoy the games, and some of us can enjoy the game even when losing. This is how the real world works, sometimes you can't win and you have to accept it. I am not good at drawing, so I can't compete against someone who's drawing for living or spends hours a day drawing. But that doesn't mean I can't sit at the table and draw something from time to time, right? I don't have to study the game mechanics thoroughly to fully enjoy the game, do I?    The thing I wanted to say is, that for some people playing games means enjoying themselves no matter what. It seems we, who are able to enjoy the game even when losing and playing horribly, are either older people who have their work, maybe families and we spend like 2 hours a week playing and relaxing; or vice versa, we are still kids who don't care about winning or losing cause we don't know the difference between "winning" and "having fun". (Small kids really don't see the reason why being the best should mean we have fun.)  We don't have to invest more time to learn the game mechanics, because for us there is no reason to. We don't wanna be the best there, we don't care if we lose or win, the game itself means enjoying ourselves and thus having fun. No matter if we win or lose. Sometimes you lose in your real life no matter what. Sometimes you can't be as fast as Usain Bolt, sometimes you can't be as smart as Christopher Hirata or Terence Tao. But that doesn't mean you can't enjoy running or mathematics, right?    So I proudly and gladly say: I play for fun. Enjoying the game means having fun for me. I don't have to win to have fun.  So everyone who tells me to shut the **** up, like the dude in the article, is in my opinion complete ignorant and his opinion has no value to me. I remember times when we all played this game to have fun and we had fun even when losing. Then the "pro" clans came, then suddenly more noobs appeared in the chat, then suddenly the chat and forums were full of "siemka players" and then suddenly the XVM came and completely ruined the game for me. Cause even in the random battles something changed - more and more players started to whine about some ratings their team had, more and more players started to say "you're 300 effi noob, go play some other game" etc.   So I am noob. I used to love the game. Then dudes like the one in the article started to being not-so-friendly, because they've been told that winning means having fun. It seems for me that people forgot the "Old maid" card game. Anyone remembers? Even being stucked with the old maid brought enormous fun and joy. Maybe I am just too old to remember having fun doesn't mean that I have to win. I don't know.   Let the neg rep come. Sorry for my rusty English.

Ectar: I'll take a well played scout in my team over a heavy/medium/td/arty any time.   It's a very difficult role to play well, especially knowing when to run, when to shoot and when to hold your ground a spot.  The spotting is key, a good scout can always turn the tide of a battle.  Heavys and TD's rely heavily on someone else spotting for them so they can shoot without being detected (or at least get some shots off before being detected).

Ectar:   The only time we've done in-game notifications like that is to promote any official WG streams, the most recent being one with Odem Mortis to showcase the Stronghold mode. This notification was only done in-game as it was related to a major game feature we felt players would like to know about.  This isn't something we do regularly and we have no plans to use the in-game notifications to highlight individual streamers

Ellendway:   Nevím jestli přímo hokej, ale určitě by to bylo zajímavé. Více podobných módů ve hře určitě bude. 

Ellendway:   Vysvětloval jsem Ti to už několikrát a nejen Tobě. Nemáme žádný problém s tím, že hráč využívá více platebních kart k placení v prémiovém obchodě. To znamená, že tato věc NENÍ zakázaná. Pokud se ovšem objeví případ, že bude karta nahlášena jako kradená nebo se objeví na blacklistu některé ze společností platebního partnera, budeme muset jednat. V takovém případě stačí dodat akorát důkaz o tom, že je karta v pořádku a platba byla provedena s povolením vlastníka (výpis bankovního konta, na kterém půjde platba vidět, případně fotka platební karty - samozřejmě za všech bezpečnostních instrukcí, které jsem tady psal).    Pokud mu platil zlaťáky někdo známý, bude se muset obrátit na něj, aby doložil potřebné důkazy. V případě, že důkazy nedoloží, nemůžeme účet odblokovat, kontaktovat platebního partnera o vymazání hráče z blacklistu.   

Ellendway:   No pokud si chceš udržet dobré vztahy s partnery, kteří Ti zajišťují platební portál a všechny služby okolo, tak samozřejmě budeš dělat vše proto, abys podobné případy odstranil v co nejrychlejší době. Nikdo tady samozřejmě neřeší, jestli platíš přes Master Card, VISA, jestli karta patří Tobě, babičce, kočce, kamenu, který je vedle Tvého domu. Pokud byla platební karta nahlášena jako závadná, kradená a je na blacklistu, musíme to řešit.   

Ellendway:   A kde je tedy problém? Spolupracuj se zákaznickou podporou a své herní konto dostaneš po potřebné proceduře zpět.

Grimbru: 'Misery' by Stephen King.   Hadn't really read much of him previously so a friend lent me the book. A very good read.   Previously to this, 'Forgotten Voices of Burma: The Second World War's Forgotten Conflict' by Julian Thompson. This was special to me since my grandfather fought here. I thoroughly recommend it, but be prepared for some visceral stuff.

W4RGAMER: Danke auf jeden Fall für das Feedback.    Ich denke es wird im Laufe der Zeit noch weitere interessante Modi geben. Dass der Fussballmodus noch mal wiederbelebt wird, ist allerdings seehr unwahrscheinlich. Obwohl ich sagen muss, die Aussage von DutyBernd ist verlockend.    Gruß, W4RGAMER

Ectar: I have HESH shells on my FV4202 specifically to shoot at Waffle tractors & Rhm Borsigs. I enjoy the damage they do :)

Ectar: I've played it twice, both times I've been North spawn and went to where the hill used to be in the north west. Had quite good fun providing cover for the heavies there. Both times I was in the Fv4202.  not tried the rest of the map yet or been South Spawn.
