Jeremy Taylor: The special application form will be published on our website.
Applicants will have to fill it (nothing complicated, actually) and
send it to us. After checking your applications we will send you
the activation key. You will have to download the cbt version (for
free, of course), type in the key and join the battles. As simple
as 1,2,3

All i see is a solid map with tanks running round it.

Yes the tanks look nice...but they shouldnt be the only things that do.
Jeremy Taylor: Let me remind you that the Himmelsdorf map is not completed yet.
The Big World engine allows partial building deformation that will
be implemented in all World of Tanks maps a bit later.

Link on message: #3916
Jeremy Taylor: We are offering you to describe the "invincible" panzer brigade of
WWII. It can (and should) be a mixture of fighting vehicles from
different nations. Please make up the multinational panzer dream
team with vehicles from America, USSR and Germany presented in our
official tank trees. The best-balanced panzer team will be
considered by us to appear in one of the World of Tanks special
events. The team should include 15 vehicles.

Link on message: #3657

Jeremy Taylor: Please don't be disappointed
. ZiS-30 will be added into World of
Tanks after the release. Please bear in mind, that those tank tree
lines published on our website represent the vehicles that will be
available in the release version. We will be adding more panzers
and more nations to World of Tanks after the release gradually.

Grigori, on 22 March 2010 - 06:32 PM, said: Still sounds to me like your gun direction and elevation is getting
fixed on the target with accuracy modifiers based on circumstance.
Which means all tanks have stabilization.

Link on message: #3641

Jeremy Taylor: World of Tanks vehicles' guns are not stabilized and gun sight is
not automatically fixed on the target. The gun direction and
elevation is totally under the player's control. However, we
omitted excessive gun jolting due to action gameplay concerns. In
World of Tanks the player is aiming manually at the enemy fighting
vehicle and the vehicle’s modules. Right-clicking is used to lock
on the already selected motionless target for camera rotating.

Archives\Beta\Basic Questions

Blackout77, on 21 March 2010 - 06:50 PM, said: Then i have a question myself, Does sloped armor have any effect at
all?

Link on message: #3605

Jeremy Taylor: The ultimate advantage of the sloped armor is that it in fact
improves the actual armor thickness. The shell is impacting the
sloped armor angle-wise, thus increasing the chance of rebound.

Grigori, on 21 March 2010 - 03:54 AM, said: If all tanks' guns are stabilized, all have similar reload times,
all have faster turret rotation speeds than they did in real life,
and all are faster than they were in reality...

Link on message: #3523

Jeremy Taylor: All vehicles have different reload time, turret rotation and top
speed rates. World of Tanks fighting vehicles' characteristics
completely correspond to their real prototypes' specs but have been
increased and adjusted proportionally for action gameplay purposes.

instead one would have to shoot it to get to that state.

Link on message: #3357

Jeremy Taylor: Players will not be able to ruin all buildings into splinters.
Still, in World of Tanks each building will include destructible
elements that players can demolish at their own leisure. At the
moment, village buildings are completely destructible.

Archives\Beta\This community is scary!
Link on message: #3355

Link on message: #3355
Jeremy Taylor: World of Tanks is not purely a simulator, though it has some
simulator traits. We are developing an action tank game. We can
assure you that World of Tanks will provide tons of fun both to
casual action-game lovers and hardcore tank buffs. The game is very
friendly to newcomers and players learn all the World of Tanks
fighting vehicles pretty fast. Moreover, closer to the release date
we will publish the Tank Encyclopedia that will contain all the
vehicles' detailed specs.
There's no need to be a history nut or tank building geek to join the community (though such types of players are also very welcome) and have fun from playing. You are more than welcome on this forum.
