Subject: Tutorial with Rewards
Link on message: #3752168
Link on message: #3752168
Mugsy_: The tutorial is currently on the 8.4 Public Test server and there
is indeed a reward for completion. I am not certain what the final
reward will be when it is implemented on the Live server. But it is
slotted for release with 8.4 at this time.

Mugsy_: Hello Max,
As some have said above, in their own way (haha), we are always introducing new vehicles and even entire trees. The struggle is to attempt to offer vehicles which have their own flavor, style, and play differences. Many historic favorites will see implementation in the future. I hope you are able to find others you enjoy until then.
But request noted, sir.
Thank you.

Mugsy_: Hello Goliard,
Thank you very much for your well thought out suggestion. I agree that players should have many small milestones which they can strive towards and be rewarded for accomplishing.
In addition to victories, what are some other achievements we could use as milestones to reward players for reaching?

Subject: Game Latency Issues and Packet Loss
Link on message: #3751914
Link on message: #3751914
Mugsy_: Hello Tankers,
Please take a moment to answer the included poll to help us better understand who and how many folks are experiencing connectivity issues.
Also, the next time you experience a match with excessive lag we would like you to gather some information for us:
1. Once you get back to your garage after the battle minimize your client without closing it (stay logged in and keep it running), then open up your task manager by right clicking on your start bar and selecting start task manager.
2. Next click on the performance tab in your task manager and then click on the resource monitor button.
3. In your resource monitor click and expand the Network Activity section and also put a check mark next to WorldOfTanks.exe in the Processes with Network Activity section.
4. Make a note of the IP address that you are connected to because we would like you to do some tests on your connection to this server.
5. Now exit your game client and compile a ping plotter report to the server address you were previously playing on.
-------------------------
We have included the ping plotter steps for your convenience.
1. First please close all open applications including torrents, DC-clients, ICQ, Web Browsers (IE, Firefox, Chrome, Opera and the like), and Mail clients etc... As these can interfere with the connection test results.
2. Next, install pingplotter on your computer. You can get it from the following link: http://www.pingplott.../pngplt_std.exe
3. Launch pingplotter and maximize the window.
4. In the "Address to Trace" field please type in the IP address of the server you were just playing on and then press enter.
5. Now we would like you to right click on each of the bottom 7 hops and choose "show this timeline graph".
6. Let this trace run for at least 15 minutes and for around 30 if you are able.
7. Finally we would like you to please click "file" (in the upper left hand of you screen), then "save sample set", save the file and then attach it to your reply.
This will help us collect the needed data and better address any ongoing problems occurring.
Thank you for your assistance.

Mugsy_: Thank you for your post and suggestion, though I was left with a
question. What about when you and a group of teammates post up at a
strategic location in an attempt to discourage or drive enemies
into another part of the map. You may not have delivered much
damage but you participated in a meaningful way towards your teams
victory. Sometimes an individual can place themselves in the right
place, with the right cover and prevent the enemy team from
progressing forward even without landing a substantial amount of
shots, simply preventing the enemy from cross an open space. On
paper that tank didn't do much but it can turn the tide of a
battle.
How could we ensure that those people are rewarded as well?

Isnt that 6:00 pm Eastern Time? or is that military time? 03:00 = 3:00 am PST.
Some help would be great.
