What will come first?
I know this might sound a little funny, and many of you won't watch, but the world will watch as a whole. The London 2012 olympics will actually pull the attention of some people away from tanking, and I think that some of the devs will watch too.
Opening Ceremonies begin July 27th.
Estimations on what comes first?
Opening Ceremonies?
Open Test for 7.5 for the NA crowd?
Public Release of 7.5?

GeneralDirection: I think we'll take the gold in that competition.

- SU-85: Removed 107mm gun ZIS-6C, added gun 85mm D-5S-85BM, held a general readjustment of the machine. (WTF!!)

GeneralDirection: These changes are being made because of the matchmaker changes also in 7.5. If those listed tanks were left alone, they would dominate pretty hardcore with a lower tier spread.

Storm confirms:

translation: In 7.5 we'll rebalance the battle spread for most of the tanks. Will become +/- 1 level on average.
A lot of changes to keep it balanced.. this will be the biggest change to WoT. I am seriously looking forward to it if its true. Huge MM tier spread was the major thing I hate about this game.

GeneralDirection: Yes. Keep in mind that there may still be special cases for high tier lights, as well as SPGs. But the goal is to bring the majority of battles into a more competitive experience. Right now some tanks are simply not competitive in a large number of their battles.
This is a change we've been pushing for based on your feedback--as well as our own experiences playing the game--for a while now.

When you are having lag is when you need to be running ping plotter to see where the lag is coming from.

FPS is between 40-80 depending on what mode (3rd person/sniper)

Tanitha: Yeah, as per the example above.
There isn't much point running ping plotter when the freeway/highway is clear, and then being told there is no traffic jams and no lag.
When you are having connection issues and lag, is the best time to run the program to see where the lag is coming from.
Then ping-plotter will show you if the lag is at your ISP, at our server, or at a Internet freeway/highway in between.

Tan.

View PostScorpion_King, on Jul 10 2012 - 06:53, said: Wargaming, You really need to fix this server lag now.... I feel I am loosing money, My Fps are good, my ping is low, but the lag keeps going Green-Red-Green-Red-Green-Red. We cant play with this, some players pay for the game ( any kind of buy), and we deserve a good service, I am loosing money right now, because I cant play has well has I do cause of this lag. you guys really need to resolve this problem. I am online now. 16.000 Players on, that number of players SHOULD NOT create lag. Please, fix this has soon has possible, and I am not the only one, last 10 matches, I asked in general chat, if they have lag too, 75% say yes.

Tanitha: Another way of phrasing this.
If you would allow me to set the scene for you..
Its Friday night, You make a booking at a posh theater in the city 50 Km's away.
Get dressed up, pick up the girl friend, then proceed to drive to the theater.
Along the way you come across a traffic jam caused by a accident on one of the freeways that you took to get to the theater.
After hours of not moving anywhere, you decide to turn around and head back home.
Then you ring the theater company and abuse them for the excessive traffic you had to get to their theater, and how their service is shocking.
The other 1000 people attending the theater that night, had a great time and arrived quickly and safely.
It was only the 5% of the people who took that particular highway, that had issues, due to that highway being blocked.
Explained like this, do you understand that your complaint is not really correct?
Of course players usually don't like listening to staff. Which is why we suggest and recommend to players who are having Internet lag issues for them to use a program such as Ping Plotter. Ping Plotter will analyze your connection from your house to our server, and provide you a detailed breakdown of exactly where lag is happening between YOU and our server.
Running this program, you will be able to see with your own eyes, exactly where the issue is.
Information on running ping plotter can be found here.

View PostTanitha, on Jun 01 2011 - 15:18, said: If you wish to help get your particular lag issues fix, please provide us with information in the following format.
1. Download pingplotter from here. LINK
2. Connect to login-master.worldoftanks.com
3. Let it run for a few minutes, and settle.
4. Screen capture it.
5. Paste it into a graphics program, and cut the first few steps which show your local IP.
6. Upload it to a image website. like Link or Link
7. Link the photo into a reply, as below.. Putting it in a spoiler would be nice if you know how.

Tanitha: Another situation with "lag" is when it isn't Internet/server lag (IE When the ping plotter report shows no Internet lag or server issues),
Then the lag is then usually related to computer performance and the players computer not keeping up.
The best indicator of this situation is noting your FPS in game, anything less than 30 could do with adjustments being made with the graphic settings in game (turning graphics settings down) to get the computer and its graphics card, keeping up better.
Feel free to reply with a ping plotter screen-shot, and your FPS rating.
But without those two, assistance is not possible.
Thread moved to the error reporting section of the forums. /Tan

Tan.

They are just not going for the high income provinces but instead are messing around in low income provinces. That is a choice they are making. I used "large portion" for a reason. Anything over 50% would be a large portion.
I am a person that has earned more gold in tournaments than in a year from clan wars and I am telling you, it is about the competition not the gold that I have entered.
Edit:
So you are on a team with members from the 7th and 13th highest gold from CW clans and you would not enter a season if the gold amount for the top 8 were dropped in half?

lord_farquad: I am glad you enjoy the competition so much and we want to keep the competition top notch. Part of the concern is that lower prize pools could potentially result in less competition.
As always we're open to suggestions, and we know that some parts of the league need to be shortened. If players are willing to compete in a somewhat shorter league with smaller prize pools, we are more than willing to consider that option.

Almost all the competative teams are in it for the competition not the reward. Getting a gold reward is more of statement or measuring system to say "yes, the team did well" (the 800 gold for just making the playoffs is nice in this way). The amount of gold is somewhat secondary.
So my beliefe is the teams most likely to win gold are fine with reduced gold reward. I think it is more contraversal if these teams want two matches a week for completely different reasons than the amount of gold prize.

lord_farquad: This is not the case. Yes there are several clans (mainly -G-, and FORGE) who fit that scenario, but take SIMP for instance, or Team Fail. SIMP is a clan which almost exclusively plays tournaments (and is just now trying CW). Team Fail is composed of multiple clans, meaning that their team as a whole is not making a lot of income from CW. In addition, unless the clan is giving an entire day/week/month's income to one member, then the tournaments award are much different from CW.

Then win in first place and buy lots of slots.....

Gaea:
How about we limit this to screenshots of tanks in the game :Smile_blinky:

2 rounds per week both playoff and tournament.
Group tournament:
2 battles per round,same day.
Battles:
First round 8:00 Pm Eastern Saturday(same as today)
Second round (another team) 8:40 on Saturday. right after the first 2 battles approx 10 minutes after the first round.
Scoring:
Win = 3 points. Draw 1 point.
That means you win both sides of the map you get 6 points.
Controversial: Tech win 4 points. 2 battles each 2 points. Tech loser got some penalty?
Tiebreakers.
One weekend tournament, 4:00PM and 8:00PM Eastern. Sat-Sun. Total 4 rounds.
Playoffs.
Sat-Sun.
I would really want to see something like Wed and Sat. But that would be harsh for west coast.

GeneralDirection: Well, the thing is that would reduce the overall prize. One of the reasons the prize is so high is the time commitment it takes. So, if everyone is fine with a smaller prize for each season then we can consider having two rounds a week.

He said your not scouting your supposed to be dead already if you where.(what I was doing was charging until I found a tank then sat next to a rock while arty/any tank would kill him. Then I would charge again.... Well you know what I did) then I said I am a scout not some idiot and with that I added him to my ignore list. So my question to you is should scouts always go dieing at the beginning because if I am supposed to I am really doing something wrong.

Tanitha: Scouting has changed over the time.
Scouting at one stage (before warping as fixed) used to be fun rushing in, killing an artillery or two, then dieing, resulting in reasonable amounts of EXP and credits, and doing your part for the team, then moving onto the next game. But as stated fixing the warping made this nonviable.
Suicide scouting is reasonable for credits when you are credit farming, Although its a bit of a pain for your team who loses a tank too early.
But now the best option IMO is as you have described, Moving forward into a detecting range, and then camping safely while lighting up the enemy for your team mates and arty to destroy.
After all for spotting you get 1/2 the rewards usually.
And the best scout is a undetected one, so not shooting yourself is often the best way for being the most effective.
A TD with a camo crew, and camo net, help with the above, as TD's are harder to spot even before being rigged out with camo.
And a lot of the lower -> midi tier TD's are pretty quick, so nice to quickly get up into a forward spotting position.
But the main thing...
Have fun.
Who cares how other people wish to play.
Play how you enjoy.

Tan.
