Mugsy_: Doesn't that beast have a 30 second cool down? A TD typically cant
tuck away like an arty piece, so you are pretty exposed and rely on
your team to act as a buffer between you and death during those
cooldowns.
But again, balance is a living metrics and all vehicles are routinely monitored and altered. Vehicle balance and personality are probably the most difficult to manage aspects of any game.
How is this tank different, how is it fun in its own way, how does it offer a new playing style, how does it weigh out to its peer group? All tricky business.

am originally from the food manufacturing industry, so I am used to
complete transparency. But often I am not able to release the

standard for this industry, it also frustrates me. I try to inform

initiatives being put in place to better address and inform
community concerns.

NightMist1, on Mar 19 2013 - 21:31, said: Can you tell us if there is ever going to be a plan to listen to
the majority of customers in regards to artillery?
The issue of artillery balance is an issue in dispute and under scrutiny. We have taken several approaches to balancing arty and will continue to address this matter.
You know like making 2/3 per match on each side instead of 5
For the time being there is a technical limitation that prevents us from moving to a three arty per battle limit. That change results in very strange matchmaking combinations. But that limitation is being worked on.
Or giving your customers a chance to opt out of arty battles? Since so many people think artillery is fine, then it wouldn't really disrupt game play to give the other customers a chance to play tank battles, right?
Artillery is an integral part of the game, and in for the time being there are no plans on allowing people to opt out of including them in battles. Removing them would prove more disruptive than you might think at first glance.
If WG has no intention to ever care what the customers want, then just tell us now so we know we should just leave instead of hanging around hoping someone finally cares enough and realizes customers are important.
Of course we care what our customers want. No company could be successful if you ignore customer sentiment, however, we also cannot rely on vocal lobby groups to design a fair and balanced game. It is more complex and requires a more informed perspective than you are giving credit for. You are also not giving us credit for any of the steps we have already made in recognition that the balance needs to improve.
Oh, one more thing, If they care to look at my account they will see how much money I have given WG since I started. I'm Done. NOT ANOTHER PENNY until artillery is addressed!
Ok, obviously we are sorry to hear we lost your business but it is completely your prerogative to decide what you do or do not support. Though, again, we have implemented some steps to address this issue and are working on absolving obstacles which prevent us from further resolving the number of artillery populating some battles. I hope that in the near future we are able to address it to your satisfaction.
Until then, good tanking to you.

WG - are you paying any attention to anything anyone is posting here?
Hello.
I don't want to start another thread about useless gameplay and biased matches that end 15-3 way more often than is statistically reasonable.
I just want to make the point to WG development that as one of the paying customers I'm sick to death of some of the dire gameplay that the game is only recently delivering.
Ever since I played Battlefield 2 and preferred the tanks I have wanted a game like this and so it should be perfect for me. It certainly used to be pretty good but since around patch 8 what we see are tanks and guns that behave drastically differently from one battle to another. Stupid 15-3 stomp battles that are not really fun for anyone.
Please be mindful, that unlike Battlefield, team coordination and working as a unit is far more important in World of Tanks. Is it possible that you are trying to lone wolf your way through battles rather than waiting for support or moving with a group, resulting in getting stomped?
And more and more and more tanks out of development when what we all want are the problems fixed (let's not pretend there aren't some major ones or that things haven't gone sideways in recent patches) and more maps. That's right - more maps, not more tanks.
Please realize that, as with most industries or companies, various teams are tasked with different responsibilities based on their skill sets. It is not a question of this or that. Also, you feel as though no new maps have been introduced because since the 8.0 update we have been reworking and re-releasing existing maps. You will begin to see actual new maps introduced soon. Though I don't know if that will help with your 15-3 performances.
While you're at it premium rounds don't achieve anything except arguments so they could be scrapped completely.
I agree that the premium rounds have been controversial, but I think making them available for credit purchase was a step in the right direction.
