ARGO: I agree with everything capking said except with the Hetzer, I am having the time of my life in mine and loving it. Heck I have never won so frequently or got through battle more successfully than with my Hetzonator. 10.5 gun + 100% camoed crew with net = Major league sniping fun. My only regret with it is that I didn't get one back in July when I started, It's a good little moneymaker.

ARGO: If you see a BOT or a suspicious acting vehicle, We want to know ASAP and if caught WoT will absolutly perma-ban them no questions asked. You may report it to support@worldoftanks.com or even to a Mod like myself but make sure you have done your part by getting a screenshot and or footage. WoT is always and forever doing everything they can to keep things as fair ingame as humanly possible for the enjoyment of thier valued players.

I like to hide behind cover and snipe when targets present them self, then you would like the German line who has the most accurate guns in the game. World war 2 games with a an arcade controls are very appealing but the learning curve (if that's what you call my experience so far) is far too steep and need to be improved. This goes way beyond the typical MMO grinding experience. I need to fight another 53 battles to unlock the next tank at an average rate of 100 experience a battle.
I need some help folks, please don't bash me, I'm just frustrated and I'd like to know what it is that I'm doing so, so wrong here because I surely don't understand it.

ARGO: Don't jump ship just yet, as my peers above have all stated it gets better. This game takes a bit of getting used to with the learning curve and once you start moving up things really do improve. Besides, you may want to stck around for the implimentation of the clan wars at least. Take the time and really go through this forum, it has many helpful tips and threads from those with experience and especially in the "Newcomers" section there is even a nice guid written by The_Evil_One you may want to scope out as well as the video tutorials that were added.

ARGO: Well Angus, As I said above is that it would be Germanys only place where they may be able to attack from. I did not state that it by any means would be successful even with the Fat guy in a Red suit. I totally agree the US is a geological fortress not to mention the Americans in that area wouldn't take kindly to an attack in their back yards and out would come the owl rifles and Yahoos.

merig00: You are correct - if your crew member dies during the battle he does not get any experience for that battle. So penalty is there. As for taking crew members/tanks out for several days - it defeats the idea behind the game style of random battles which of course is "play-die-jump into the next tank"

Vallter: Our game do not support any type of satellite connection. The thing is that the response time for the client is approximately 250-300 ms, whereas the internet provider of yours assigns 500 ms.
Also everyone who has this problem please contact us submitting a ticket with your PingPlotters:
1. Please install the following program on your computer: http://www.pingplott.../pngplt_std.exe
2. Close all the applications, including torrents, DC-clients, Skype, ICQ, Browser (IE, Mozilla Firefox, Opera), Mail client and etc.
3. Launch the program, and maximize the dialog window.
4. Type 174.34.231.143 in the field "Address to Trace" (upper left corner). (http://wiki.worldoft...target=pp-1.png)
5. Set 1 second in the field "Trace Interval".
6. Press the "Trace" button (lower left corner) or the "Enter" button. (http://wiki.worldoft...target=pp-2.png)

- press Windows key + R and type %appdata%\wargaming.net\WorldOfTanks
(Another way: press START and select Run...);
- type *Regedit* and press "OK";
- follow that way - HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Internet \ SettingsZones;
- in the last folder (above) there are several other folders named "0", "1", "2", "3", "4" respectively and a folder with the name alike a rectangle (either "[]" or "L");
- delete this folder.

Vallter: Also please make sure that your antivirus software or firewall do not block the client connection with the server.
Please open the following ports in the net settings:
• UDP range 3478, 3479, 5060, 5062, 12000-29999 and 32800-32901
Allow WorldOfTanks.exe to use UDP and TCP protocols.
As well as IPs: 174.34.231.0-174.34.231.255
If you use Proxifier, please open the following ports:
3128,80,8080,20000-25000,32801,32803, and crucially - 443.
Please open the directory "C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc" (Windows XP) or open the directory "c:\Windows\winsxs\" and search for "hosts" (Windows Vista/7), choose the "hosts" file, open it with the notepad and type manually: 174.34.231.143 login-master.worldoftanks.com
All the in-game settings and hosts, used by the game, can be traced in the "preferences.xml" file - "C:\Documents and Settings\(USER NAME)\Application Data\W"\
