won't be so talkative. Unfortunately, I still need to, in order to
nail the issues on the head. -)
People have the habit of changing between online games. Not every person becomes 'addicted' to WoT. But your order of questions make sense, let me answer your statements one-by-one:
1)Memory Leaks are fixed about 30% with the last patch. With the next, that will be added just before or just after the game release it will be fixed 80-85 %.
2)Our game is Free-to-Play. It will remain so after release. This means you have no need to pay even a cent to play and enjoy the game.
3)New maps. 2 of them will be included in the next patch. We haven't released them earlier, because we wanted to complete the designing of new tanks first. You don't need maps, if you have no tanks, right? -)
4)New game modes. We have always stated, that we won't make them fast, because we want to make them with new ideas and make them good. We want our players to enjoy the unique abilities and functions. In summer we will add two or three.
5)Clan registration was already added to the game. We are not starting Clan Wars on the European and American servers right now because of several reasons:
- we want to finish the global map, add Africa, North and South America, Siberia.
- we want a certain number of strong clans. And taking into account the coming hardwipe, this won't be possible in following month. This has it's reasons as well. First of all we don't want a clan with a lot of spare time dominating on the whole map, while others will still drive Tier 6-7 tanks. We want to give all clans a chance to struggle for gold.
- we want to finish at least 50% of work on the server crossing system.

And now we are going to answer the painful question. Why we have not added all this things? OK, I will answer. For example, we wanted to add French tanks in March. But, we postponed it. And this is because we want to mend our server part. We have split our servers and our programmers were occupied on adjusting the connection to our servers. We want our users to have the best Ping possible. Also we are now working on moving the Russian server from Germany to Moscow and relieve the European server. After that our programmers will be able to get back to work on updates and features. I think, you sill agree with me, that no content will make you happy if the server will go down every hour or two.
I understand, that you have waited for a long period of time already. But if all those, who had left, will return to the game in June, or, moreover, Setember - they won't recognize this game.

As for buying gold for other stuff, well as my premium account plans have been scuppered I was going to buy a lump sum of gold so I can get one or two premium tanks but as they never got around to changing the mechanics regarding converting the experience points they make into free experience by using obscene amounts of cash instead of gold that means it would in fact be pretty pointless buying them now as I'd have to keep buying gold to run them so epic fail again devs because you scuppered my plans for that idea too
Please feel free to scupper any other ideas I have by making them monthly gold dependant in some way as well

are supposed to be. We are currently working on some updates that
will add more adrenaline to the matches. I won't tell you all
details, but one of our steps on this path is a special game mode.
Playing in it, users will have the certain number of 'respawns' (3,
probably). This means that when a lucky shot destroys your tank,
you can go to the garage, pick another tank and return to the same
battle. The objective, probably, won't be the classic 'Capture the
base' or 'Kill'em all'. And we are preparing many more surprises
for summer-fall of 2011

Vallter: As mentioned, in fall the 'M3Lee' tank will enter the new life and
it's gameplay style will change. As well as balance.
We will add new light tanks and rework their balancing.
Artillery has only 7 Tiers right now. This means that even Hummel SPG is counted like a real power, and that is why you can face High Tier tanks, while playing on it.

Has there been any further discussion on this among the developers? Your first answer was rather vague and I feel (supported by many others requesting the same thing on various parts of the forum) that this is a very important issue. People play games to have fun, not be harrassed by obnoxious or abusive people.
The current "ignore feature" requires players to write down the name(s) of the offending parties, wait until the end of the battle (or exit), search for the player in "contacts" and only then being able to select "ignore".
This does nothing to stop the abuse while it is happening.
I am suggesting an ignore function that can be used during the battle, something like "right click player name > ignore" or a "command" in the chat window like "/ignore 'player name'". This should add the offending person to the player's ignore list immediately preventing any future messages from coming through chat or their ability to start up a "private chat" back in the garage. Additionally, it would be nice if it also muted the person's map pinging as many people abuse that function after they have died.
I am not suggesting that it should prevent future matchups with the same players. It's fine to play with or against them, as long as we don't have to listen to their abuse...
Please either reconsider or at the very least give a definite answer. As I mentioned, many have asked for this. I strongly feel it would do a lot to improve the experience for all. Especially those of us who also play with our children...

Cutoff date is very clear.
What is the minimum number of battles?
I have a number of friends who joined the beta early, and introduced me to WOT, but they didn't play that much, knowing that their progress would be wiped, and plan to return after release. My clan also has a number of recruits who are new to the game, and don't have much experience (fit the date criteria but have not fought many battles).
As far as I know the KV-220 was given out to everyone on the RU server who was in the closed beta there.
At Christmas everyone on the RU server received the M3 Stuart, which was a nice gesture to make(thanks I got one), and I did notice lots of battles with loads of M3's for the first couple of days after the tanks were given, but this didn't last long at all, and they are now a rare sight.
If you are going to make an arbitrary cutoff point, it is important to let people know what it is, and maybe have a lesser alternative for players who do not meet the cutoff point to avoid a torrent of "WTF where is my tank" and "Russian bias - RU server gets preferential treatment" rage posts on the WoT forums and elsewhere. I don't personally believe that the WoT developers are biased or unfair, but I am concerned that failure to be open and honest on this issue will simply pour fuel on the fire of ignorant forum rage.
I don't see a problem with massed battles of 15 vs 15 M4A2E4, as everyone will be on an even footing, and the usage of these tanks will tail off fairly quickly as people start to progress to tier 5 and beyond, so I am somewhat confused that the developers might see this as a potential problem, and feel the need to impose restrictions, unless there are huge numbers of accounts with <10 battles that you feel may have been created deliberately with the intention of being exploited contrary to the EULA, by resale for instance. Please explain.

Exactly how will this structure and the rules for the Clan Wars stop a bunch of friends and aquaitences in the game as operating as a Superclan(They may have seprate groups in game but they certainly have thier own website and VOIP servers collectively outside the game depsite being seperate units) so the that 3 or 4 groups despite being organized as subgroups of 100 each from dominating the map collectivley. It doens't matter if they are seperate entities in the game and on the map in reality and socially they are still one group!

According to that obviously the first to happen was me registering. Now when I check my profile on the site I can only see 328 battles. Checking my tanks played I know that after the softwipe I switched to USSR side as I wanted to try their tanks.
So the statement what was first to happen does not seem to stand as my stats for Tiger, Pz4 , Pz3 etc are missing.
Also the stats don't seem to update as I am nearing 600 battles (584 checking my ingame statistics window).
Apparently there are two databases, .com and .eu but still, no battles from prewipe reported.
So what did I get wrong?

Tracks, turret. Yes, ignore them. But when a stock tank, especially
a heavy, is matched up to be equal to a heavy that is fully
upgraded, say, a stock tiger without the short-88 versus a T29 with
the 105 T5E1, the stock tiger would completely underperform and the
entire team suffers.
It doesn't need to be the whole team as stock versus the enemy team upgraded. In some cases, just one tank can ruin it for the entire team due to the matchmaking system in general. For instance, if you only have 1 tier 7 tank, and it's a tiger on one team, stock, versus an upgraded (with gun) T29, the T29 will wreck the tiger and just continue to wreck the tier 6's, 5's, and 4's in the match who will have difficulty penetrating the T29 from the sides, if they even can hurt the tank to begin with, while the T29 will happily roll around and devastate the enemy team.
So, my question is, can you add weapons back in to the weight calculations, since weapons very significantly alter what a tank can hope to attack as well as how well it will perform in general in a given match, even if it means a stock 3601 is weighed less than a fully upgraded PZIV (which, with just the gun being taken into consideration, shouldn't be an issue)?
I would like to point out that, due to how many tanks also operate, calculating just the weapon often will also include by proxy whether a turret was acquired, as well as the tracks to mount the turret. For instance, getting the short 75 on my 3001p by proxy meant I had the turret and tracks. I also had the engine since the stock engine is complete trash on that tank, so simplifying it just to weapon can check the general fitness of the tank beyond merely just the weapon itself in many cases, further aiding the weighting system if weapons are factored in properly.
What I don't want to see in the matchmaking system, however, are stock tanks put up as top-tier tanks against upgraded tanks without the team they are on given more tanks or more weight to compensate due to gun differences, especially when top-tier tanks often determine the outcome of a match anyways.

Quite often there are situations where shells will disappear or miss even when it is impossible or very highly unlikely for them to do so, sometimes multiple times in a row. This seems to occur most often when zoomed. Has this issue been noticed by development staff and is it being addressed? It is often quite noticeable and makes rather large impact on games when playing TD's or snipey tanks when your alpha-strike shot misses even with a fully zoomed and centered targeting reticle.

Is there a mathematical reason for allowing access to the most damaging gun in the game to a tier tank? Actually is the a reason such a gun exsist balancwise in WoT? Having a gun that fires faster does a dead tank no good if he is one shotted.

All the guns penetration and damge are similar except the BL-10. Yes I know it fires slower and yes I know accuracy is important, but do you really think any tier 8 player would not choose to have a BL-10 over any other gun listed? When you can vaporize just about any tank in 2 hits or one crit withdraw and reload or simply dissapear or stay hidden while shooting why would you gun the does at best 62.6% of the damage of the BL-10 could you atleast explain why you consider the gun fine please?

I've read your answer where it is against the rules to have multiple accounts on the same server. My question is, is there an actual number to what "multiple" means? I currently use one account for tanks and another for my SPG......is this allowed?

I can only hope that you are planning to change all hits to the middle of a tank's track to "body damage" in order to keep an atmosphere of fair play.

Has there been any further discussion on this among the developers? Your first answer was rather vague and I feel (supported by many others requesting the same thing on various parts of the forum) that this is a very important issue. People play games to have fun, not be harrassed by obnoxious or abusive people.
The current "ignore feature" requires players to write down the name(s) of the offending parties, wait until the end of the battle (or exit), search for the player in "contacts" and only then being able to select "ignore".
This does nothing to stop the abuse while it is happening.
I am suggesting an ignore function that can be used during the battle, something like "right click player name > ignore" or a "command" in the chat window like "/ignore 'player name'". This should add the offending person to the player's ignore list immediately preventing any future messages from coming through chat or their ability to start up a "private chat" back in the garage. Additionally, it would be nice if it also muted the person's map pinging as many people abuse that function after they have died.
I am not suggesting that it should prevent future matchups with the same players. It's fine to play with or against them, as long as we don't have to listen to their abuse...
Please either reconsider or at the very least give a definite answer. As I mentioned, many have asked for this. I strongly feel it would do a lot to improve the experience for all. Especially those of us who also play with our children...

What is the minimum number of battles?
I have a number of friends who joined the beta early, and introduced me to WOT, but they didn't play that much, knowing that their progress would be wiped, and plan to return after release. My clan also has a number of recruits who are new to the game, and don't have much experience (fit the date criteria but have not fought many battles).
As far as I know the KV-220 was given out to everyone on the RU server who was in the closed beta there.
At Christmas everyone on the RU server received the M3 Stuart, which was a nice gesture to make(thanks I got one), and I did notice lots of battles with loads of M3's for the first couple of days after the tanks were given, but this didn't last long at all, and they are now a rare sight.
If you are going to make an arbitrary cutoff point, it is important to let people know what it is, and maybe have a lesser alternative for players who do not meet the cutoff point to avoid a torrent of "WTF where is my tank" and "Russian bias - RU server gets preferential treatment" rage posts on the WoT forums and elsewhere. I don't personally believe that the WoT developers are biased or unfair, but I am concerned that failure to be open and honest on this issue will simply pour fuel on the fire of ignorant forum rage.
I don't see a problem with massed battles of 15 vs 15 M4A2E4, as everyone will be on an even footing, and the usage of these tanks will tail off fairly quickly as people start to progress to tier 5 and beyond, so I am somewhat confused that the developers might see this as a potential problem, and feel the need to impose restrictions, unless there are huge numbers of accounts with <10 battles that you feel may have been created deliberately with the intention of being exploited contrary to the EULA, by resale for instance. Please explain.

I saw that you said the 0.6.4 patch needed to go through more testing including the supertest... is the supertest already running or does it still need to be set up?
I've looked around on the EU and US boards and have not found information on this.

If these people are essentially friend and acquaintances in an on-line game and they are not forced by the rules to compete with each other but in fact cooperate with each other and can recruit as many of these subdivisions as they want, then what is to stop 3 or 4 clans from dominating the other couple hundred other registered clans. Your answer I'm afraid shows a disturbing lack of forethought and inability to perceive a potential problem to the success of Clan Wars. This is the least populated of the 3 servers. Allow Clan Wars to be dominated by 3 to 4 groups to the detriment of everyone else that others are sweeping up their crumbs or losing people to them just because they want to be on the winning side then Clan Wars will not succeed on this server unlike the Russian server which has so much more population as to allow more latitude. I doubt I will play Clan Wars for long and ultimately the game at all, if that is the case and I dare say you will see just as many who feel the same way who are waiting for Clan Wars with baited breath only to end up disappointed and disgusted.

Exactly how will this structure and the rules for the Clan Wars stop a bunch of friends and aquaitences in the game as operating as a Superclan(They may have seprate groups in game but they certainly have thier own website and VOIP servers collectively outside the game depsite being seperate units) so the that 3 or 4 groups despite being organized as subgroups of 100 each from dominating the map collectivley. It doens't matter if they are seperate entities in the game and on the map in reality and socially they are still one group!

According to that obviously the first to happen was me registering. Now when I check my profile on the site I can only see 328 battles. Checking my tanks played I know that after the softwipe I switched to USSR side as I wanted to try their tanks.
So the statement what was first to happen does not seem to stand as my stats for Tiger, Pz4 , Pz3 etc are missing.
Also the stats don't seem to update as I am nearing 600 battles (584 checking my ingame statistics window).
Apparently there are two databases, .com and .eu but still, no battles from prewipe reported.
So what did I get wrong?

I know I'm jumping the gun a bit with this question but is there any chance in the future that you might release special one-off tanks that we can purchase for gold and keep please? I'm thinking a one off Tiger tank that has slightly improved stats but more importantly has some kind of special paintwork/camouflage skin that makes it unique to every other Tiger tank in the game.

its: Critical hit!, We nailed them bad!, That's gotta hurt!, Looks
like that one went right through! then you are damaging their
modules, and not the tank most likely their external modules (gun
and tracks).

some form it will be added into clan wars (under consideration).

Making tanks unplayable.
This has been posted multiple times in the connection error section of the forum with no response from the devs.
This affects people on the North american servers - From australia to canada. So not an isolated problem
Overlord: You should contact Tech Support. Sometimes we ask and help internet
providers to optimize traffic route to WoT servers. But there
should be sufficient number of tickets from one region before we
start.

- bush and tress influence is reconsidered (I don't know if I can give you details).

Why load it from the harddrive? When you're going into a game the server knows what tanks are on the other team. Why not load it then?

I think we all would agree that stock tank < fully upgraded tank, but the matchmaking system does not seem to take that into account. The gun, I think is the most important thing to consider, as it determines what you can damage.
Overlord: One of the previous version of the Matchmaking took into account
gun, turret, engine, .. and even radio. All components had their
own balance weight. Gun had the biggest weight, radio the smallest.
There were much more questions than know. Stock VK3601 could have
less weight than top PzIV. Or two stock T-44 could be balanced with
two top T-43. It was much harder for us to calculate component
weight coefficients. Current system is very simple. There is a
chance that you'll get in a team of stock vehicles against a team
of top vehicles. But a probability of such battle is really low.

Seems to happen slightly more with lower tiered guns, which is also probably why people are noticing it more after the wipe.
Overlord: There is no unknown or unfixed bugs with damage system. Most of the
hits with no damage occur when you hit a track.

Overlord: Premium tanks are not meant to be upgradable.

It doesn't need to be the whole team as stock versus the enemy team upgraded. In some cases, just one tank can ruin it for the entire team due to the matchmaking system in general. For instance, if you only have 1 tier 7 tank, and it's a tiger on one team, stock, versus an upgraded (with gun) T29, the T29 will wreck the tiger and just continue to wreck the tier 6's, 5's, and 4's in the match who will have difficulty penetrating the T29 from the sides, if they even can hurt the tank to begin with, while the T29 will happily roll around and devastate the enemy team.
So, my question is, can you add weapons back in to the weight calculations, since weapons very significantly alter what a tank can hope to attack as well as how well it will perform in general in a given match, even if it means a stock 3601 is weighed less than a fully upgraded PZIV (which, with just the gun being taken into consideration, shouldn't be an issue)?
I would like to point out that, due to how many tanks also operate, calculating just the weapon often will also include by proxy whether a turret was acquired, as well as the tracks to mount the turret. For instance, getting the short 75 on my 3001p by proxy meant I had the turret and tracks. I also had the engine since the stock engine is complete trash on that tank, so simplifying it just to weapon can check the general fitness of the tank beyond merely just the weapon itself in many cases, further aiding the weighting system if weapons are factored in properly.
What I don't want to see in the matchmaking system, however, are stock tanks put up as top-tier tanks against upgraded tanks without the team they are on given more tanks or more weight to compensate due to gun differences, especially when top-tier tanks often determine the outcome of a match anyways.

Overlord: It is not true, there was no such special treatment for German
guns. Depression values are chosen in accordance with 1) historical
data 2) balance 3) 3d modelling requirements.

Overlord: We are not planning to increase the view range. It's a BigWorld
engine limitation.

Quite often there are situations where shells will disappear or miss even when it is impossible or very highly unlikely for them to do so, sometimes multiple times in a row. This seems to occur most often when zoomed. Has this issue been noticed by development staff and is it being addressed? It is often quite noticeable and makes rather large impact on games when playing TD's or snipey tanks when your alpha-strike shot misses even with a fully zoomed and centered targeting reticle.

possibility of miss: small part of aiming circle didn't cover the
vehicle. Unfortunately we need a video proving that there is a bug.

bug in projectiles (shots) or network lag that causes delay in
enemy position update or server marker update. We cannot reproduce

Is there a mathematical reason for allowing access to the most damaging gun in the game to a tier tank? Actually is the a reason such a gun exsist balancwise in WoT? Having a gun that fires faster does a dead tank no good if he is one shotted.
Also is it the way the armor is sloped or its thickness that makes an american heavy from the t29 up so difficult to penetrate? I have no difficulty with any other tanks in the 7-8 tiers they all have spot to hit if you get close but the us tanks seems invulerable to the front and turret. I said seem I just asking not accusing.

All the guns penetration and damge are similar except the BL-10. Yes I know it fires slower and yes I know accuracy is important, but do you really think any tier 8 player would not choose to have a BL-10 over any other gun listed? When you can vaporize just about any tank in 2 hits or one crit withdraw and reload or simply dissapear or stay hidden while shooting why would you gun the does at best 62.6% of the damage of the BL-10 could you atleast explain why you consider the gun fine please?
