Do we have Fog of War in these tournaments?
Fog of War has been awesome for UC battles. It creates a situation where an unusual team composition doesn't tip off the strategy. (Would love to see it in company battles too)
If not, do you guys think you will be able to institute that for these tournaments sometime?

GeneralDirection: Yes, this is something we're discussing right now. I agree that for
tournaments it would add another level of strategy to your team
compositions, and will make skilled scouting extremely valuable
during the match.

However, I do have a question. I anticipate that since this is Tier
6 heavies with no significant artillery to speak of or any "heavy
lights" allowed, on Redshire... That there are going to be a lot of
KV-3, KV-3, KV-3, and two whatevers teams. On Redshire, all the
KV-3s will park up on the big ridge or the big hill, and stay
there. So my question is this: For the tournament format, how will
Draw results be handled? Will anything be done to discourage them,
or camping in general?

the prize levels will be increased. Since the prize
amount is calculated with whatever formula they've come up with

many teams in the AM challenge as are in the PM to have the prizes
be the same.

ARGO: Greetings,
I am sure many of you serious gamers have either built or bought some serious gaming rigs. I for one love to check out new stuff and keep up on the latest tech so I figured why not see some of the rigs out there and get some ideas in the process. So here is your chance to show off your machine and give us all some ooooo's and ahhhh's and also let us in on some nice tips what to look for when either building or buying the perfect beast!
Please, no advertisments. Just pics or your machine and shared ideas or specs. If you don't have a super machine you may put down what your dream PC would be.

lord_farquad: 1. I am actually very good at hitting light tanks, even in my Maus
or 704.
2. When in a fast tank (especially the AMX50B), I tend to be overly aggressive, and die within the first 60 seconds of the game.
3. I am really impatient, and usually tend to be the first one out on a charge.... which I guess is both good and bad, unfortunately it usually means I die, fortunately the charges are usually successful.
4. I am always looking for where I might be most useful, and am willing to move all the way across the map if I think it will give us a better chance of winning. Essentially, no matter what, I am about winning, so if my death in front of an ally on cap will help us win, then I am there and ready to help.
5. I notice the more tanks I play, the more I believe that it's the player that makes the difference not the tank. I no longer believe in "OP" tanks, but rather in "OP" players.... a tank always seems OP until you've really played it.

However, it would be nicer again if the prizes were distributed to more teams - especially since the previous Challenges have been won/dominated by the same team(s).
As more teams participate, its harder (for the average teams) to get to the later rounds - so prizes could be distributed down to the rounds of 1/4 or even 1/8 - rather than throwing more gold only to those teams at the very-pointy-end of the competition.

lord_farquad: While I do agree to an extent. I think we want to wait a bit before
considering that. I would like to see if the larger prize pools
bring in a significant amount of new teams that will be
competitive. Although it's inevitable that some team's will win
repeatedly (and if a team is that good, then they deserve it) we
hope to foster enough competition to the point where there will be
a lot of excellent teams instead of just a handful, resulting in
more teams receiving prizes.

ARGO: If you can master aiming a Derp, they are great and very deadly
when run on nothing but HE, However not many get the learning curve
on aiming so it can be frustrating especially when loading time is
lower. Derps compared to regular cannons are a lot like comparing a
shot gun to a rifle, A shot gun will really mess you up but only at
shorter distances so just remember, if you are a sniper at heart a
Derp may not be your cup O' tea, But if you like to play TD with
your tank and get up in someones face, then by all means have at
it.

equipment options to puchase for the tanks?? Rammer, stabs, gun
laying drive, vents, camo, optics, etc..??? I know a lot depends on
the type of tank and its tier, but I am just looking for some
overall opinions on what you guys think are the best. Thanks in
advance.ARGO: All depends on your vehicle, and your fighting style.....I myself
choose a defensive posture so naturally I choose a tool kit, camo,
and rammer for my heavies. Tool kit is good in any tank because I
find it help greatly when your tracked getting it back up. If I run
a TD, I like to have a rammer, camo, and coated optics or
binoculars to insure better hits. This in combination with a well
experienced crew in repairs or camo to me make a big difference but
Again, I choose a defensive stance and my combo may not work well
for a more agressive player. Here is a little break down:
Heavy / Medium tanks = Camo, Tool box, Rammer
TD = Camo, Coated Optics, Rammer
Arty = Camo, Gunlaying drive, Rammer
Light tanks = Prayer, A well written Will, Supreme luck.
