These two really hurt, i use them a lot to grind credits. Do the changes make sense? Maybe... But why wait all this time and just now change them and by so much at once.
M4A3E2 -8% *(+50%)
M4A3E8 -8% *(+50%)

GeneralDirection: The changes here are to bring the two tanks more inline with other tier 6 mediums. Their income prior to 7.2 was around 30% higher on average, while also being far cheaper to maintain than the other tier 6 mediums.

View Postjacksknightx, on Mar 22 2012 - 17:16, said: This one is absurd. This tank already loses money most of the time and all the other tier 5s have an increase in credits. I dont just rush in to die either, when i play this tank i try as hard as i can to stay alive.
М24 Chaffee -3%

GeneralDirection: Data has shown that the Chaffee on average earns more and has been cheaper to maintain than other tier 5 lights.

View PostTupinambis, on Mar 20 2012 - 17:48, said: These numbers probably wouldn't seem so skewed if he didn't consider the E8 and E2, which are serious outliers since their repair costs are getting MUCH higher. That being said, Most of the American tanks as they are can print money like nuts. Part of me is under the impression that the US tanks already make more money than the GE and RU ones, and this is just to balance it out a bit. I've had some insane matches in my E8.
The Chaffee credit nerf vs the T-50-2 and VK credit buff has already been rationalized by the fact that the Chaffee spends a lot more time actually killing things [and making credits] than the other two. With that in mind, this might make some sense. It still sucks, but its somewhat understandable.

GeneralDirection: Yes, the changes largely balance out the profitability of tanks. Right now the M4A3E8 and M4A3E2 for example earn ~30% more credits on average than the other tier 6 medium tanks, while also being cheaper to maintain.

they were thinking of giving 2 or 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw to both teams, and 0 for a loss.

lord_farquad: This is correct. Once registration closes we will most likely post further explanation of the league play, as well as the divisions.

Knowing the side of the map (or not) can have a significant impact on preparation and practice.

lord_farquad: We will not be informing teams which side of the map they will start on. This is primarily due to the fact that our tools will not allow it in this case, however we believe that even if we were able to determine which side a team will spawn on, it would actually detract from the game. We think adding keeping an "unknown" will help to keep the Classic be more dynamic and force teams to be ready for multiple situations.

View Postbadmonkey59, on Mar 22 2012 - 00:36, said: The economic changes have hit all the lines, but if you look they hit the US line the hardest. I play my T20 right now as my money maker, I will be selling it after the 7.2 update. Maybe I'll go back and play the M5....

GeneralDirection: I wouldn't sell the T20 just yet. It should still be solid at earning credits even with its 10% income reduction in 7.2. That said I can't dispute the fact that tier 4 tanks will be more attractive than before to play for credits.

View Postbadmonkey59, on Mar 22 2012 - 00:36, said: The T32 is a good tank. It isn't as good as the T29 when you take the matches and peers into account.

GeneralDirection: You won't find me disagreeing about the T32 compared to the T29. The T29 is an amazing tank and a lot of fun to play once you have the 105.

View Postbadmonkey59, on Mar 22 2012 - 00:36, said: I have played my T34 Premium on the test server and it is painful. It plays like it did when my current T34 was stock. Slow, slow and slow. With the slow turret and slower RoF it is now just a sitting duck that anything can kill.

GeneralDirection: I don't know if it's fair to say 'anything' can kill it. I'll agree that it plays a lot differently than the T34 did as a tier 9 heavy -- even with the T34 as a stock tank.

View Postbadmonkey59, on Mar 22 2012 - 00:36, said: I have played the new M103 on the test server and it is no better than the T34 it is replacing. The armor is weak, the gun is okay. Again, this American tank is not on par with its peers and isn't that what balance is supposed to be about?

GeneralDirection: This is great feedback, especially on the armor. We'll make sure to keep an eye on the gameplay data and if further changes are needed we'll make adjustments.

View Postbadmonkey59, on Mar 20 2012 - 21:23, said: -Economic changes make the entire line almost pointless to play after tier 4.(Why bother playing a line of tanks that cost a fortune to repair and make little in credits and xp)

GeneralDirection: The economy changes are not just affecting the American tech tree. They are affecting all tank trees in a similar fashion.
The American tanks all the way up to tier 8 are fantastic at earning credits right now, and the reductions for most of them in 7.2 (where there are actually reductions) are -- as I said already -- not just American income reductions.

View Postbadmonkey59, on Mar 20 2012 - 21:23, said: -New American Heavies are worse than the ones they replace. (The already tier inferior T34 & T30 are replaced by tanks that no one will want to work towards)

GeneralDirection: The quality of the new American heavies being 'worse' than the existing is very subjective. I've watched lord_farquad play exceptionally well in the T110E5 here in the office.

View Postbadmonkey59, on Mar 20 2012 - 21:23, said: -T34 premium with all of its nerfing is now inferior to all other tier 8 tanks and most tier 7s. (Again, why play something that is painful to use)

GeneralDirection: Inferior in what way? It still has the best gun of any tier 8 heavy -- premium or not. It also has one of the best income potentials in the game, matched similarly with the Lowe and KV-5.

View Postbadmonkey59, on Mar 20 2012 - 21:23, said: -With the possible exception of the T29 when fully upgrades, all US tanks are inferior to their peers sometimes even to peers a tier or two lower.

GeneralDirection: 100% disagree. The fully upgraded T32 is very competitive for its tier.

NDP is the puppet masters, they control everything. SSGS is the illuminati of the WoT CW world.
There are several jokes in this forum. Juiceboxx is a dumbass who thinks he's good at trolling, and is bad at tanks (not in a good way, that's spelled bad@tanks). A few newcomers have been fighting him hard to become the joke of the Diplo forums. Sneaky Bugger tried really hard, but seems to be dying back down after getting his clan curb-stomped in Finland (thus learning not to attack Russia in the winter). There may be a second coming of him though, since he thinks he's the Jesus of Tanks. The current front-runner for the special people club president seems to be Cloudbringer, the A-A drama queen.
For more about what's going on in CW, check the Clan Wars in 45 seconds videos. There should be around 8 or so of them by now.
