Subject: Update 9.17.1 - US and Japanese tech Tree changes feedback thread

JTM78, on Feb 26 2017 - 22:42, said: After playing the Type 4 with the New 15cm/45 41st Year Type gun, I
can firmly say that it is HORRIBLE! I just shoot a E100 on the side
of the turret and did 76 to it! The dispersion values when compared
to any SUPER HEAVIES in it's tier are horrible. The Type 4
dispersion for turret traverse .24, tank traverse .22 and moving
.22 are HORRIBLE. Both of the Types are worse then the OI in every
way! I was really hoping that this patch would have made the
Tier IX and Tier X more playable but WoT has done the tank a
massive disservice with the dispersion values! The lack of
horsepower per ton that the Type 4 has I am being past by Maus
players uphill and on flat ground they pull away. The 15cm/45 41st
Year Type gun only does 190 more damage then the OI's 15cm.

It sounds like to me you are trying to take the easy
way out on your answer here this is a widespread problem that needs
to be addressed. My game is not really all that playable in
its current condition How about some actual answers on how to
fix it? Maybe a step by step or something like that? Maybe just
mini-patch to fix the problem would work. Hell any reason for why

went through US Basic back in 2001. It's not new, and it's not as
if the DSs can't figure out other ways to get their point across. A
similar sort of response came from when the Irish media broadcast
"Recruits" about a year ago. Honestly, I thought the language
did no harm. Wasn't necessary, but not something worth writing to
the Minister of Defence about. It was emphasis, not abuse.
On other matters, I got it into my head that I would try to
multi-mark my M103. I'm giving up. Still running a 59/60% win rate,
but my playstyle of seizing initiative for the team at the cost of
my own life prevents me from routinely lasting long enough to do
any unusual amounts of damage.

at 1 pm PT / 4 pm ET. The brackets should be live, so you can see
the teams that you will be facing. If you've never
participated in a tournament or Clan Wars before, a Special Battle
window will pop in-game 10-15 minutes before the battle begins. You
will want to click on that, then click on the battle to open up a
separate window. This is where you can ready up your tank.
In order to enter the battle you will need to move your name from
the right (reserve) side of the window to the left (active) side.
Once you have selected the tank for the battle, click the
"Ready" button; this will turn your name from red to green. As long
as you have clicked Ready, are within the allowed tier points and
are on the active side of the window, you will automatically enter
the battle once the countdown hits 0. Good luck in the
tournament!

and it went back to the start and started playing, but the sound
was gone, or at least was so low as to not be audible. Closed out

population, like when there's a patch release. When conditions are
low, the system can ignore some parameters to avoid longer wait

my take ... from what I gather, the "Defender" version, due to its
proprietary paint job is like the Skorpion ... in that its camo

confirm this just to be sure?) ... add to this, the striking
appearance of both the paint job AND the unique lack of mud flaps,
makes this tank particularly easy to ID and tag in terms of
strengths and weaknesses. So while the base take should be
identical, IMHO the secondary considerations I bring up, would make
the defender arguably "prettier" ... but slightly worse than a
fully upgraded "Plain Jane" model with the added premium camo ...
So, unless its confirmed that the new defender pain job is
somehow efficient at +3 game camo ... I'd be leery about buying it
... especially since there still is the flapless ID factor no
matter what. Now in terms of 'blending in' ... this tank has
a passing resemblance to the IS6, so its not unreasonable for there
to be times of momentary confusion when spotted visually at
moderate distance ... a factor that would be significantly
reduced the stand out details of the Defender variant.

place the bow to the explosion, and the turret facing away. (So gun
over the rear deck)

GhostPrime: Tankers, Please leave your feedback on the many changes and
improvements to the UI in update 9.17.1 in this thread.
UI Improvements Notes Battle performance badges: -
Implemented display of two and more badges for identical battle
events. For example, when damage is caused to two enemy vehicles
with a single shot (or with shots at two different vehicles within
a very short time), the system will display two different badges
instead of a single badge that shows the total damage amount and
the vehicle name.
- If an enemy vehicle is destroyed, players do not need to see a badge with the number of damaged modules in the destroyed vehicle (displayed after the Destroyed badge). The Critical Hit badge in this case will be disabled.
- Added the new Wrecked badge (when damage is caused to enemy vehicles using the terrain (physics)). Such events will be displayed separately in the detailed damage panel. The badge will be added to the settings so that players can configure its display. Fire direction indicators: Changed graphical materials of the damage direction indicators (to "unload" the battle interface) Added the option that enables/disables the dynamic fire indicator (indicator width changes depending on the amount of received/blocked damage). By default, the option is disabled: fire direction indicators have the same width. Changed indicator timings and added animation. Added additional information to the settings, which explains the principles of some feedback options. Added information about receiving damage or critical hits to: battle performance badges detailed damage panel Damage or critical hits received from allies will be displayed in the performance badge and detailed damage panel. The performance badge color and values of the detailed damage panel will be the same for both damages received from an enemy and damage received from an ally (red color for received damage, orange color for a critical hit). Added the shell type to the detailed damage panel. Premium shells will be displayed in the golden color. The indication of Premium shells will be permanent. The battle performance badges and fire direction indicators will not display the shell type. The shell type is displayed only in entries of the detailed damage panel in the following cases: Damage received Critical hit received Damage blocked by armor Made changes to the options of the detailed damage panel: Added the option of displaying the detailed damage panel: received damage, critical hits, and damage blocked by armor Added the option that changes the location of the detailed damage panel: received damage, critical hits, and damage blocked by armor can be displayed to the right of the allied team section. Improved fonts of all performance badges and damage panel. Improved fonts and backgrounds for values in the detailed damage panel. Improved texts in the damage panel settings window. When all total values of the detailed damage panel are disabled, the detailed damage panel can still be displayed (in versions 9.16 and 9.17, when all three total values were disabled, the detailed damage panel was forcedly concealed). For quick-firing guns, the battle performance badges and entries in the detailed damage panel will display the total value of the shot series. Improved the mechanism of arranging Platoon members when the battle is loading (Platoon members are spawned on the map closer to each other\considering map specifics, number of Platoons. Improved the mechanism of switching the camera to the observer (postmortem) mode: First, the camera switches to the vehicles of the Platoon members Next, the camera switches between players, according to their position in the team panel Changed tooltip design Added numbers that express influence of existing bonuses on the simplified technical characteristics in the corresponding tooltips Visualized influence of the activated equipment (Binocular Telescope and Camouflage Net) on the simplified technical characteristics in the interface Changed the display format for penetration and damage characteristics of the standard shell from a range of values to the average value in the Garage and in the vehicle preview window. The range of values can be found in the tooltip. Added standard shell indication to the shell tooltip Implemented comparison of shell parameters in the tooltip against the standard shell Improved filters of the vehicle panel in the Garage Added the option of searching a vehicle by name to the filter panel Added the option of changing the vehicle panel layout from the filter panel Added additional statistics to the vehicle slot: victory rate and Mastery Badge. The statistics is displayed upon hovering over the vehicle slot, and can be disabled in the settings. Added the option of displaying the two-level vehicle panel: adjustable and minimalistic Improved the interfaces of the mission informer and mission window Added informers for tutorial missions for new players Improved notifications about new missions in the mission window Removed irrelevant crew bonus components (null values) from the Exterior interface Reworked MiniMaps 9.17.1 refreshes the looks of several minimaps: Training Area, Overlord, Stalingrad, Sacred Valley, and Fiery Salient.

GhostPrime: Tankers, Please leave your feedback here for the changes made
to the German heavy tanks in this thread. Notes on ChangesTo
bring the German Tech Tree up to speed with the rest of the game,
we re-examined its structure, including three new heavy tanks. We
also dealt with some balancing issues to make battles more
enjoyable for medium tanks and select Premium vehicles. The
revised German Tech Tree features two completely new heavies:The
VK100.01P (tier VIII) and Mäuschen (tier IX). If you researched the
tier X Maus, these two will be credited to you as researched as
well. The tier IX VK 45.02 (P) Ausf. B is now followed by
another newcomer, the Pz.Kpfw. VII. This change won’t affect the XP
you’ve earned on it.The same applies to the Maus: all equipment,
camos, emblems and Crew you have for it are there to
stay.

Still a problem, still unable to use that feature.
Also, as I mentioned before, the current way the marks of
excellence are displayed when hovering over a tank in the carousel
is effectively useless, as one can simply look at the barrel. Can
we please see it as a percentage? If the idea of this feature was
to save us time, then it has failed at it's job. What we really
want to know is how close we are to the next mark.

more powerful server. What you likely saw as the site being down
was the short period of time when DNS information was in conflict
between your computer's cached information and the actual DNS
servers' directions. It should be very rare for people to
still have issues now, but if anyone is still having any issues
with getting the site to load here's an article to help you out.

have to be in a clan to play this? is this an option to play in
re-spawning platoon somewhere? Can I just join a platoon and play?
is this like a random game where you have the ability to re-spawn
during the game?? that would be really great! Where or what part of
WOT can I get involved in this?

you and your platoonmate(s) are located when you load into the
game. Before the patch platoons may start next to each other or you
may start on opposite sides of the map. With this patch, the system
will try to keep platoonmates next to each other when possible, so
that you don't need to travel to find each other then head into the
battle.

The_Chieftain: I would disagree with you that the T110 is a support tank. It's
more like a battlecruiser. Not solid enough to duke it out with the
super-heavy TDs or Mauschen etc which can be found at Tier X, but
will do a very good job of punching holes in enemy medium lines,
and then keeping up with your own mediums for the exploitation
which follows. As to the OP, I'm not convinced I'm
worried one way or another. I try not to rely on my armor in an
American tank anyway. Its skill is maneuver, not taking 128 and
130mm rounds to the face.
