The_Chieftain:   You see that little rectangle of white plastic, which has broken into three pieces, in the middle of the window regulator assembly? That little bugger, costs about $5 to make, I'm sure, would set me back some $500-800 to repair if I took it in. The car isn't worth enough to spend that kind of money (and I don't have that kind of money)

Lert: My four 1/16th scale tanks, showing off the size difference between them and how they just grew larger and larger over the years:     The first one is a Heng Long Pz IV Ausf. F2, 14.5" hull length, and is in quite a sorry state. It needs minor repairs, camo, weathering, wash, detailing, tools, stowage, decals, a matte clearcoat and a new electronics package - the old one is malfunctioning, it doesn't respond well to the steering anymore.   The second one is a Heng Long JagdPanther, 17.7" hull length, and is nearly done. I've already replaced the nylon-gear gearboxes with metal-gear ones, added stowage, engine vent mesh grills, repainted and weathered. Just needs decals and a matte clearcoat.   Third one is an old Tamiya Tiger II, from the 1990s, 18" hull length. I've done extensive modifications to it, replaced the old single-motor clutch drive with two separate steel-gear gearboxes, replced the drive sprockets, replaced the plastic barrel with an aluminium turned one, scratchbuilt a barrel mounting, added a barrel elevation system, working headlight, replacement metal exhausts, replaced the tow hitches, repainted, applied camo, weathered, applied washes, stowage, engine vent mesh grills ... Just needs decals, a matte clearcoat and a new electronics package to get it mobile again.   Last one is a Torro Leopard 2A6 with steel-gear gearboxes, 18.8" hull length. Just needs weathering, a wash, decals and a matte clear-coat. Plus need to paint the commander figure and maybe add some stowage, maybe a camo net wound around the barrel.   .... yes, I like German tanks. How'd you know?       Unfortunately, in my situation it's going to take a while getting them all done - better part of a year, if not more. Especially the Pz IV is going to be a long time before it's finished.

GhostPrime:     Issues with latency could be the cause of many different issues along a network trace route. Please submit a ticket to support with as much information on the ping route you are able to. Pingplotter is a great tool, and we have a good tool as well. (WGCheck tool) This will help us track down where the issue is coming from, and be able to diagnose how to resolve the issue.

dance210:   Hello DannyS76,   When will what be over? The test we ran, where gold will be given out, was only for Friday. It's possible that Advances will continue each night as a permanent mode / testing of the mode.

dance210:   There was no screw up in last night's tournament. The tournament last night was scheduled to begin at 7:00 pm PT instead of 6:30 pm PT. In an effort to be nice, I reduced the group size (max of 8 teams from a max of 10 teams) which meant no more than 7 battles would be played; however the prizes remained the same. I am unsure why you believe that only playing 7 battles, when the page states a maximum of 9 battles not that all teams will play 9 battles, is an issue.

The_Chieftain: Eh? Rita?  Why?    The argument for the T95 buff is the alternate final drive great ratio which was produced.  I don't think T95 needed the buff, but there is at least a "real" logical argument behind it. Of course, the taller gear ratio wasn't used for a reason...

The_Chieftain:   At this point, unless I have active reason to believe that the target will not change course or speed, I will aim almost anywhere except where the predictor says the ship will be. I will aim where I think the ship -can- be, given estimated rates of turn and speed, as opposed to where I think it -will- be.    

The_Chieftain:   Honestly, although I've heard those theories, I go with the GP from "GPW", the Ford designator.  

The_Chieftain:   My opinion exactly. Balance team swung by the SF office last week, interesting discussions resulted.

dance210:   Yes. In the spirit of "March Madness" we will let players vote on maps. They will all be encounter though.

dance210:   It means that if a player does not participate in at least 5 battles out of a potential 35 battles they may not receive a prize. 

Lert: Unfortunately I don't have a good camera, so the weathering doesn't come through very well, but this is what I managed to make from a cheap Heng Long JagdPanther and an old 1990's Tamiya King Tiger, both in 1/16th scale:         The JP was just a matter of new gearboxes, paintjob, detailing, weathering, some added stowage detailing. The KT had a near complete overhail with new gearboxes, new barrel, new exhausts, new headlight, detailing, paintjob, weathering, stowage ...

dance210: A player has two ways to register for the March Mapness! When you create the team, make sure that you are using the correct registration! Register as a Team! Registration works the same as normal. Team captain makes a team and recruits players to join. A complete team has 4 - 6 players. Captains do not need to submit their team; all teams with the minimum number of players will be accepted. The team is now ready to fight once the tournament starts! Register as a Solo player or as part of a Party! A party is a group of players that does not meet the minimum team size requirements. Create a team. Teams do not need to be confirmed; all players will be accepted for the Solo/Party Registration. Once registration has closed, the player will be combined with other solo player(s) and/or a party to form a complete team After registration has closed, players are encouraged to check back to find their new team!   So how do you register as a solo player? It's easy! When you create a team, there will be Registration Option with a drop down menu. Simply switch from Register Team to Register Solo and you are ready to go!

Is it the Console or PC forum?    The screenshot shows a console game; however this is the forums for the PC version of World of Tanks. It seems as though you have no battles in the PC version, which may be why you are having an issue posting in certain sections.

dance210:   Hi eXs11!   The only details I have for you have already been released in the EU article.   It's a marathon mission where players need to complete 13 of the 15 missions to earn the Pilot. The missions are for one day only, and the mission details will generally be provided the day of the mission. More information will be released as the marathon progresses   Good luck and hope y'all have fun doing the marathon!

The_Chieftain:   I sit corrected. Thought this was referring to the revised hull design.   The thread is in the archives, together with some 50,000 other threads from several years ago. You really think there have been only 400 pages of "General Discussion" in five years of this forum?

dance210: The forum rules are not changing. Anything that was within the rules, including anime, pictures, videos, colored text, are still within the rules. Anything outside the rules, including derailing threads and insulting others, are still outside the rules.   Keep it clean and keep it classy guy.

dance210:   What tank was he in? One of the nation's has buggy camo....meaning the yellow camo doesn't show, but the mission still works. AFAIK Hunt the Pros is the only current mission that has a target by the player's name.
