We are aware that players are trying to game the event with a variety of strategies, and we will be taking measure to disqualify players who share their account, utilize "botting" software, or otherwise attempt to inappropriate pad their stamp count.  We appreciate the feedback regarding the event design, and I agree that this event has incentivized some undesirable behaviors.  We will be sharing that feedback with the event designers with the hopes of rewarding better gameplay habits in the future.

I'd also like to give a shout-out to Duke_Nuke_Em_Cammando for helping out with the translation!      As you know, today is the big day. The long-awaited World of Tanks Update 1.0 is here! Leaving aside such an announcement, it is so important that the patch itself addresses the issues of our players. That is why we have prepared a small FAQ that includes, above all, possible doubts with the technical aspects of the game. So go there!

Can I play World of Tanks with the old graphics?

- Unfortunately not. Starting today, we will no longer support the two graphics variants (SD and HD).

My PC can barely process the current graphics, does that mean I cannot play World of Tanks anymore?

- During the development of the new graphics engine (Core), we take special precautions for those players who have equipment a bit outdated. That's why we've optimized everything so they can continue playing with their current equipment without the need to invest money in new configurations and still see the improvement in the gaming experience.

In fact, the minimum requirements for playing World of Tanks will remain the same as ever, nothing has changed with Update 1.0. Here's a reminder of what these requirements are: Operating System: Windows XP / Vista / 7/10/10 Processor (CPU): At least two CPUs that support SSE2 Memory (RAM): 1.5 GB for Windows XP; 2 GB for Windows Vista / 7/10/10 Video card: GeForce 6800 / ATI HD X2400 XT with 256 MB of RAM and compatible with DirectX 9.0c Soundcard: DirectX 9.0c compatible Free hard disk space (HDD): 16 GB
And what are the recommended requirements? What if I want to play with the Ultra setting? What equipment do I need?

- The recommended requirements for playing World of Tanks as of now are: Operating System: Windows 7 (64-bit) Processor (CPU): Intel Core i3 Memory (RAM): 4 GB Video Card: GeForce GTX 660 Disc type: HDD (SSD) Resolution: 1920 * 1080

Can I run the game on Linux or MacOS?

- No, the game will not support these operating systems.

What will happen to maps that were not included in Update 1.0?

- We will work on them for the rest of the year so they gradually reintroduce the game into HD quality.

Keep in mind that this refers only to the maps that were available until yesterday in the game. Maps that have been removed in previous updates will be reevaluated.   Will there be support for DirectX 12?   - No   Why is the premium garage almost equal to the standard?   - We're still working on the premium version of Garage.   And that is all! Lert: i5 4590 with GTX960 here, went from ~90 fps on absolute maximum @1080p to ~30 fps at absolute maximum @1080p. Stil playable. I can easily squeeze more FPS out if I drop quality.

Take some time and read our in-depth guide to Adjusting Graphics Manually to maximize your experience. Remove the auto-detect tooltip by going through each highlighted graphic preset or by playing a defined number of battles (tl:dr - about 10).    Let's Battle!   Known Issues Hit decals are displayed improperly sometimes. Loading of some maps takes longer than expected. Some visual issues when "rewinding" a replay. Vehicle loading before the battle countdown may take much time. Issues related to object details occur at the Minimum and Low graphics quality when rotating the camera. Some large structures may disappear on the Ruinberg map at the Minimum graphics quality. Some issues related to displaying of shadows that large objects cast. Gamma Settings do not work properly on some computers at the Standard graphics. Jerking tracks when driving over obstacles. The camera can get inside some objects in the postmortem mode. When setting FoV to 120°, vehicle LoDs are switched in the Garage. The volume of the Airstrike sounds does not depend on the actual distance to the player's vehicle. Half-dynamic shadows keep being displayed after disabling grass. A black screen is displayed when loading to a battle if the player's vehicle is not completely loaded in the Garage after leaving a training room. Some objects do not get destroyed properly according to the Havok technology when hit with an armor-piercing shell. When watching a battle replay, some shell tracers are displayed improperly. Improper display of the terrain under vehicle tracks. Strong flickering of the terrain and sun reflection in puddles at the High and Maximum graphics quality. Tracks feature poor details at the Medium graphics quality. The colors of the penetration indicator are sometimes wrong. The red (green) outline is displayed when aiming at a point beyond the vehicle silhouette. The camera can get inside some vehicles. The music of the Battle Results is played louder when switching to the Research window. After repairing a track in battle, the stun indicator is reset and the countdown starts anew. Concealment of a vehicle with unique Camouflage is displayed without the bonus to Camouflage in the Garage; however, the effect of Camouflage is actually active. An enemy vehicle overturned by the player will not count towards the total number of vehicles destroyed by the player. A vehicle with mounted standard and Improved equipment cannot be sold. The recruiter's Recruiting Office does not display the recruits and reservists that they invited if the recruiter's account is restored to a state, preceding the moment when recruits accepted the invitation. Mismatch in the descriptions of the Personal Missions (for Platoons) in battle (upon pressing TAB), Battle Results, and congratulation window. The Recruit button is displayed in the congratulation window, provided that the female crew member has already been recruited. The notification about base capture is displayed before the required number of capture points is accumulated. The order of events for received damage is sometimes mixed up in the damage log. The text of Mission conditions is not displayed in the congratulation window, provided that the required vehicle type is specified in the Mission conditions. The client cannot be maximized in the full-screen mode, provided that the player is having a Skype call. Applying exterior elements results in removing a Preset Style. In some cases, when moving the mouse cursor fast around a vehicle, the camera can suddenly change its location (when in the Trajectory Aim).
