Ectar: Don't worry about shooting gold in the E75, it's rarely required.
For as IS-7 side on, try going for the hull, just be careful
of that troll spaced armour. I tend to go for just above the tracks
on the inner hull. Aim towards the rear for change of engine fire,
and above the 3rd/4th wheel for chance of ammo rack. What
looks like flat side armour on the IS-7 is actually angled and a
bit of a pig to shoot at. the turret also isn't a great target
unless you're aiming down on it (as the curvature gives it a good
armour boost). Don't be afraid to get into and trade with other
heavies. Angled you can tank quite well, just be careful of the
high calibre tier 10's.

Ectar: Hello, Accounts with this name ranging from 1 to 60 are demo
accounts given to contributors for testing the Sentinel and making
content for it. Will make sure that all contributors are aware in
future they are not to be used to play about on other tanks as that
is not their intended purpose.

and then limiting it to just 1 arty per team?

opinion - I'd prefer to see arty capped per team. We have it
already at 5 per side but I feel 2 per side is more balanced. In
saying that however 5 arty per side is not common and the minute
you limit the amount of arty per side, the focus then shifts to
people complaining there is too many TD's per side (as people start
to realise they can camp more with less threat). Then you get too
many mediums per side as people avoid slow heavies. There is
always a potential knock on effect, especially when making sweeping
changes. It's better to change stuff gradually and wait to
see results, than make drastic changes and then have to tackle a
new issue.

reasoning behind the desires which is very helpful in passing

simple as everyone saying "remove arty, remove premium ammo" -
Funnily enough lots of different people want different
things. It's an age old saying "It's not what you say,
but how you say it" When people give 1 word snappy answers,
or make their replies confrontational/rude then what do they
honestly expect as a reply? "Hey, lets talk but
before we do, lets do it in a civilized manner so please don't
do this" "I'll just ignore you invitation and do what I want, I'm
sure this will help get my point across and you'll listen to me"
That's not how this is going to work.

those moments it becomes more exciting and is usually due
to poorly aimed shots. I can see the case for lower RNG (which
could still cause issues as vehicles may need to be rebalanced) but
it's not a dominant factor in WGL and certainly not the deciding

Thanks.Ectar: Sadly with putting codes in chat, they can be quickly taken
by scripts/macros. Any code you put into chat that isn't a one off
code then gets immediately shared on various sites like reddit, the
official forums etc. This happened during Gamescom with the
QR codes for example which were only intended for stream viewers.
As I said that may be possible at the Grand Finals, for the regular
season however most matches take place online and players are not
in the studio. Regarding additional people to cast, for the Grand
Finals there will be a main cast and a 2nd cast covering the 2nd
stage (so we get all the matches). The 2nd stream cast will be
covered by Luke "Dorjan" Kneller, Michael "Anfield"
Bingham and myself. I'm looking forward to trying this after
getting a bit of experience with the season finals.

Ectar: Hello guys, Got an interesting topic I'd like to bring up with
you all and hope to get some constructive feedback. Quite
simply If you could change 3 things in World of Tanks, what would
they be and most importantly, why/how? Before answering this
question I need to put down some ground rules for answers. No
one word reasons. Please expand on your thoughts without answers
like "Because I don't like it" or "because it's bad". No
unrealistic suggestions, please think of things like the core
gameplay, UI and experience (For example: Removing arty
or any other class of vehicle is unrealistic and not going to
happen). Your feedback could be related to any aspect of the
game, such as Clan Wars, eSports, Matchmaking, Map design, UI and
Chat, Battle Mechanics etc etc. Again please try to keep your
suggestions realistic and think of the bigger picture and how it
would effect the game in general. Things like "Make tier
9 tanks cheaper" just because you're on tier
8 at the moment isn't really the kind of
ideas/suggestions we're looking for (as that's a very specific
individual concern). A good example would be: Suggestion:
- I'd like to see the ability to be create troll platoons
disabled, and make it so platoons can only be made within the
battle tier of the platoon leader (Like with World of Tanks
Console). Why: - As the system currently stands, it always puts the
team with the troll platoon at a disadvantage. The benefit of
having an extra tier over the enemy isn't a balance for being
essentially a tank down from the very start. There is never a
situation where I can think to myself "I'm glad that tier 10 in my
team brought his tier 3 platoon mate". It doesn't benefit the
game in any way and it causes frustration for the rest of the team
who experience this. I look forward to seeing your
suggestions, this thread will remain open for about 2 to 3
weeks.

tanks may be out there, but when the next wave hits, they're taken
out to ocean and their vehicles are never seem again. If you get a
sketchy answer it's just because the CS agent is wary about
discussing what these checks are/how we catch players. There
is an automated system but there is also some manual reviews
happening and we don't want to give players any hints on what they
need to avoid.

get to grips with it. I think I just generally struggle with higher
tier meds that have lower armour. I equally struggled with the
Leo Prototype and my stats on the Leo 1 are pretty poor. I
need to have a good long focus on that branch to learn how to play

touch on some specifically to give a clearer picture and also
get some additional feedback. 7. - Having players turn up
just for goodies doesn't keep people watching the stream. It makes
people wait for a giveaway then leave. It also makes chat a
very polluted place with lots of people just spamming "When is
giveaway?" etc. On top of that many people also seem to expect
giveaways to happen during the matches (when we'd rather everyone
was paying attention to what's happening) rather than during the
downtime between matches when any production normally loses viewers
for various reasons (as people go to the toilet, get food, get up
and walk around etc etc). I've moderated high volume twitch
chats in the past and the minute you get over 2000 viewers in a
chat stream it moves pretty quickly and becomes very spammy in
general. 8. - Decent suggestion but not always easy to have
the set up of face cams for everyone. LoL does it for example but
the images are normally quite small and the players are 100%
focused during the matches. It's nice to see players getting
emotional however due to the nature of playing in LAN finals
most people remain calm and composed. It's not like CoD on consoles
where they're all shouting at each other. You're also limited
to what's available in the studio and not all WGLEU games are
played in the studio like for example League of Legends.
Stuff like that may feature in the Grand Finals however.
9. For EU you have Mitch "Ubershouts" Leslie, Oliver
"Laughter" Maxfield and Lauren "Pansy" Scott. As for Laughter he is an ex pro player and his
stats more than speak for himself. He's normally doing the colour
casting. Both Mitch and Lauren normally do the play by
play casting and have fairly extensive casting experience from
other games, Mitch does CSGO, League of Legends and Overwatch.
Lauren is well known in CSGO circles for her casting.
Play by play casting and colour casting are 2 very different
skills and not everyone can switch between the two. Hosting a show
is also a very different kettle of fish. 10. Your
earlier statement "I have seen screaming girls speaking about a
game that they do not understand and know nothing about" doesn't
make sense. There is only Lauren as a caster, she does the play by
plays and is pretty dam good at it. The only other female in
the WGEU casts is Melly who does social media and she doesn't
commentate on matches. She occasionally talks about what happened
after a match but she doesn't go into in depth details. She more
really commentates on the teams as she knows the teams really well
due to interacting with then daily/weekly. Casting is very very
difficult to do and whilst more female casters would be nice, it's
sadly something that the majority viewing public find hard to
adjust to. There is a lack of female casters for any top level
sports in general, never mind eSports. That's mainly because
many sports are still male dominated or are male only (Football,
Basketball, Rugby, F1 Racing etc etc). Regarding players
you'll notice a lack of female players in the top teams for
any major online game like League of Legends, Dota2 and CS:GO.
Why? Because there simply isn't a lot of female gamers
good enough to be at that level. If someone is good at a
game, they'll get in a team. It has nothing to do with their
sexuality, hair colour, skin colour, nationality, religion etc etc.
I'm aware there is female pro teams for different games and
I'm not taking anything away from them. I personally wish however
that there wasn't a separate tournament/league like that as
the last thing eSports needs is to segregation based on something.
Everyone should be entitled and able to get on a team so long as
they're good enough.

World of Tanks eSport team for some considerable time. Who
else would you expect to see casting the games and how do you
know/what area of influence/what current role do those people

matches? If you watched the recent WGLEU finals last weekend
for example I was one of the people on the analyst desk along with
2 pro players Kevin "The Deadzone" Van Huit who plays with
Penta and "Still_Mojo" who used to play with Kazna Kru.

situation to customer support and the player is delt with that way.
It's not possible to have an automated system that can judge why
and when someone is pushed out of cover or blocks a team mates.
After over 7000 battles you really should have a good
understanding of the team damage mechanics and how it works. If
not, you can brush up your knowledge here. The
automatic system can't determine someone's motives and it can't
track who is being pushed out of cover or blocked. All it does is
record who shoots who, who is blue or not, and acts
accordingly. Don't want to be banned for team damage/team
killing? Don't shoot team mates. It's really that
simple.

How did you deal with it? Ectar: Have a trial period for new recruits where what's
expected of them is made clear. Explain that being invited
for a trial does not guarantee they will be a full Clan
Member. If there is threats related to real life situations,
please contact support. They can review the player's chat logs. Not
with World of Tanks, but I was a Guild Master for an end game
raiding guild in World of Warcraft for 2 years. There is
always players who for whatever reason don't fit in. I always made
sure the person responsible for recruiting explained our guild
rules and what's expected of players. I also made sure any
applications were reviewed by at least 2 people. Once
someone was removed we'd explain to them why and then basically cut
all ties. There is no need for us to keep in touch unless them
moving on was a personal choice and they remained in good terms
with everyone. - If the player tried to harass or contact
anyone they were just ignored. Eventually they get tired and move
on, it's not worth worrying about.

Subject: Unsportsmanlike Conduct Report Category
Link on message: #12032627
Link on message: #12032627
Ectar: Over the past few weeks, the “Unsportsmanlike Conduct” player
report category has been a hot topic. We’ve received a lot of
feedback from your forum posts, tickets to Support, posts on
WoTLabs, Reddit and other places online. Thanks! Your feedback has
really helped highlight this concern. We’ve been working alongside
our Customer Support team to gather this feedback and see how we
could improve this system. During our investigations we have
identified key areas where we agree a different approach is
required: The current in-game report system is not as
effective as we’d like it to be in order to report genuine in-game
misconduct, such as: pushing allies out of cover, blocking team
mates, or revealing team mate positions or any other abuse not
covered by the other categories. The way Unsportsmanlike Conduct
reports have been handled on the EU server has encouraged some
players or groups of players to try and manipulate this category in
order to get other players unfairly sanctioned. As an
immediate result, we have put in place several changes regarding
how sanctions for Unsportsmanlike Conduct are handled and given out
on the EU server. We’re also continuously discussing options and
possibilities to improve our current in-game report functions for
our developers to review. Please note it is very
important that you all still continue to use the in-game report
function to report any kind of misbehaviour you witness in battle,
as we rely heavily on these reports to adjust our actions according
to the offence. The voice of the community has helped to shape
this process, so we would like to once again thank all players for
their feedback and patience during this review, and especially for
all the great ideas and suggestions.

Is that allowed?Ectar: If you're playing World of Tanks and wanted to show it to a
friend with you standing there we're not going to come after you.
What happens on the account however is still your
responsibility so "My friend deleted my tanks" isn't an excuse that
is going to fly. We're never really going to know about a situation
like that anyway unless you confess to it. If your friend is
using your account from a different country and grinding out games
for you. That's a different story. You shouldn't be
regularly swapping accounts with anyone. As said earlier at
the end of the day the account holder is always liable for what
happens on the account and if your "friend" lets someone else do
something on your account that's bad, it's you who deals with the
outcome. Obviously having an account "hacked" and sharing an
account are 2 different things and claims of hacks are always
investigated on an individual basis. Your account security
will always be your responsibility first and foremost.

balance and vehicle parameters which isn't something we can comment
on. If there is any major issues with a tank we'll see that
via trends and data from across all the servers and adjustments
will be made if required. It's not something we can say "yes things
will change by X% or Y value on" Even then any changes would
come in as part of a main patch and we're not able to share future

haveEctar: It's been considered, the danger is players thinking "Not
another sherman" for example or "It's just a regular tiger but
different camo". Being able to give players an option to
customize their shermans (like being able to unlock a different
hull with the track armour) could be an alternative. I personally
like the idea of selling tank "skins" like the way you can get
character skins in LoL, but not every tank has an obvious
alternative skin and for the PC version compared to the console
version there is still more of a desire to keep it historically
accurate (where possible) due to the different core audiences.

after November. It looked like it was going to be available for the
end of year activities but then with Rubicon changing and content
being delayed, plans for the Mutz changed. There are no
planned missions or marathons to be able to pick up this tank or
the non camo version. It's highly likely that other future
premium vehicles will have their own unique camo's like the
46 Patton Kr, Berlin Trio, Pz 58 Mutz. Personally I've
always felt that premiums seem a bit weird when they look like they
could just be part of the regular tree. I prefer the whole "Woah!
What tank is that guy driving!?" when I roll up in a premium.
I know others may disagree but to me I think these tanks
should feel special in a way and look/feel unique too.
Whilst some players have a personal preference for stock coloured
tanks skins, this is easily changed by using a mod to change the
look of your tank. There are lots of very skilled artists out there
making cool skins (The AMX 40 duck one is a perfect example).
TLDR: plans change. This is why sadly it's sometimes
difficult to give players information in advance as plans are not
always locked in. This also shows why we don't comment on leaks
because the "how and when" something will be available is never
guaranteed until there is a supporting portal article explaining
how to get it.

surveys one of which was already asked on the forums. We also send
surveys to players to complete via e-mail from time to
time. It's not just data from the EU region however,
surveys were equally done on other regions to gather player
feedback. We want to focus on these maps first as these ones
were commonly selected by players. The maps are planned to be
reworked rather than removed. During the rework time they would
still be available in their old format but with a lower chance of
appearing in random battles. Regarding lower tier map
rotations - The map set available for newcomers on low tiers
has been changed so that there are more simple and understandable
maps that allow players to learn the basic game mechanics of World
of Tanks. However, we know that many of you enjoy taking part
in mid-tier battles. In 9.13 we added Malinovka and Ensk to list of
maps available for Battle Tier 4 (was previously available at
Battle Tier 5+). Cliff and Prokhorovka were added to the pool of
Battle Tier 5 maps (previously only for 6+).

Ectar: Abbey, despite it being basically 3 lanes of approach is at least
almost symmetrical. Mountain Pass in a way plays out the same but
that's not equal on both sides. Fjords I feel can be
easily won by west side each time if they rush north as it gives
them a huge amount of map coverage. I feel the mountain on
the east side of Fjords needs reworked with maybe a path mid way.
It would totally change the dynamic of the map and where fights
take place.
