Ectar: Everytime I've loaded HE or HESH to shoot one depending on the tank I'm in, someone else in the enemy team engages and I curse myself for not having AP loaded.

Ectar:     Hello,   Regarding the issue affecting players who play on MAC OS that came with update 9.15 - Our developers are aware of the issue and are looking into it. Sadly we don't officially fully support World of Tanks on Mac so our customer support team can't really do any fault diagnostics with players. As soon as we have any new information regarding this issue we'll let you know.

Ectar: To save this topic going on and on the answer is simple.   People are not defending the other player. They're trying to give the opening poster advice. If you don't want banned for team killing or doing team damage. Don't shoot your team mates. It's really that simple. n situations like this when you're admitting you did it, and the only reply is "He did it first, why's he not banned also" - He clearly has done this in the past as frequently as you have. - It's also very rare people suddenly decide to shoot a team mate, especially in a high tier game, so consider the actions that led that moment and think how you could have handled them differently.  Was it really worth arguing/getting frustrated with someone you'll likely never see or play again with?   Yes it sucks when team mate shoots you (Just think about how the players you shot feel). Yes it sucks seeing team mates shoot each other and put your team at a disadvantage No the system isn't perfect, but it works and unless every scenario is manually reviewed it's all we have for now. The system doesn't care about motivations, reasons or intentions. It simply tracks who damaged who, when then they did it, how much they did it for and how often they did it.  - It can't be "cheated" it logs everything.      TL: DR    If you don't want removed from the game for doing team damage, don't shoot team mates. - Yes accidents happen, but that's no excuse for when you do it intentionally and "he started it" doesn't change things either. - If their name is blue, shoot them, or give them the benefit of the doubt. Otherwise don't shoot team mates, whatever the reason.

Ectar:   Was watching Orzanel earlier today. 6k damage was getting him Mastery 2 so looks like people already have a bit of a challenge.

Ectar:   http://wiki.wargaming.net/en/Battle_Mechanics#Matchmaking   This would appear to be a battletier 8 battle.  Battletier and tank tier are not the same.   Again this is going off topic from the original issue about tier VIII heavies not being able to tier with tier X heavies.  Screenshots of unusual match set ups is not related to the topic.   In most normal situations whatever you have in your team, the enemy team has a similar make up.  MM won't make a team with a single tier VIII heavy and give the enemy team a single tier X heavy - where you're expected to go head to head with him.  You'll also have a tier X somewhere in your team or at least some tier IX in your team and if not for some crazy reason like it's 4am with barely anyone online and the Matchmaker is struggling to create matches in a respectable time... You thinking that taking on the tier X heavy head to head in your tier VIII heavy is the right idea... Well I can only recommend learning how to draw him in or ask for team help.   You're not expected to carry every match or be able to deal with any threat in the enemy team no matter what tank you're in.    

Ectar:     Keeping on topic - What's the problem that the tier VIII heavies have here again the difficult to deal with tier X heavies? Anyone can produce a screenshot of non regular matchmaking, but we both know the screenshot from above is not a common sight from MM and it's also not related to OP's concern of tier VIII heavies facing tier X heavies.    

Ectar: If you're tier VIII in a tier X game, then your team also has tier X tanks.  You're not expected to be on the front line push in your tier VIII, you let your tier IX and tier X take that role and you support them.  Look for tracking shots to hold enemy tanks in position, flank when you can and leave space for your tier X or tier IX to retreat if they're brawling. You can even follow up with the mediums to help on the other flank depending on the map and so long as they haven't pushed far. Pretty much any tier XI or tier X can be reliably penetrated in the side or rear by a tier VIII.  If the enemy tier X is shooting you, then your tier X is being allowed to live longer.  It's a team battle and sometimes you just gotta take a hit or 2 for the team to progress.   If you're trying to play the tier VIII heavy as if you're a tier X heavy, that's not the MM which is creating the problem, that's you not appreciating the role of your tank in that battle. Sometimes you're the big fish (If you're in a battle with tier VI for example) sometimes you're the little fish (when you're in with tier X).  In each situation your tank is not going to be doing the same thing.

Ectar:   In-game tanks should be sent by Monday at the latest. I will try to get the requests out today for the in-game crediting. As for the physical prizes these will be sent out as soon as we can, the jackets will take longer as we need to wait on people replying with their sizes.  The Razer goodies and Cobi models are here ready to be shipped out.  Again the quicker people reply to the e-mails and in-game messages we've sent, the quicker the physical prizes will be sent out.

Ectar:   For TD's the last place was a base exp of 1643  you were very close. - You were place 125 specifically.  Note I'm not going to do this for every person who think they "should have won something".  I'm sorry for those who didn't make it, however we've gone over these results quite carefully (the duplicate names was my personal mix up in making the final lists).

Ectar: When it comes to premium bundles we try to offer as much variety as possible. Going on past experiences when we had expensive bundles on EU everyone complained and wanted more affordable packages as an alternative. Selling the vehicles individually allows players to pick and choose which vehicles they want rather than being locked into buying all 4.

Ectar:   Well if you go to the Tankfest website, you'll see from their video we're the main sponsor like last year.  We've been to Tankfest for the past 4 years now, we'll be there 100% this year too.

Ectar:   All our developers speak Russian as a primary language. Our Developer studio for World of Tanks is in Minsk where the office language is Russian, not English. There is no English speaking developer simply because we don't have one. RU speaking players make up something like 70% + of the playerbase.  Anton does speak English but it's not fluent.   There is no "maybe"  changes are coming.  

Ectar:   1. Way too early to answer that when changes haven't been finalized yet. 2. As above. The sandbox is for testing. Nothing is the sandbox is guaranteed to transfer to live servers. 3. Again, as with the answer for question 1. it's way too early to start talking about what "might" happen in the future to specific vehicles when no changes have been announced.   I need to make it clear that the Sandbox testing doesn't equal automatic changes on live servers. This is something new to help us gather player feedback on changes we may be thinking about doing. Nothing from this test will be 100% guaranteed coming to the live servers. We are however very keen on hearing player feedback on what they will get to experience.   The requirements for players able to participate in this testing phase will come soon. As a guideline we're looking for experienced players who have a good understanding of the game, the specifics I can't say for now but it's likely there may be a battle limit and other criteria.  Something like WN8 counts for zilch as that's a player created measuring tool.

Ectar: To update players on the status of the contest, we've got the final list and are now verifying the results. So far there is some very awesome matches.

Ectar:   No I've never used the word "bar" or "ban".   Contests on any regional World of Tanks portal normally have rules regarding eligibility depending on the prizes involved. To find out if you're eligible you need to read the specific contest rules which are normally different and custom written for each contest. If it's a digital prize for example it normally doesn't matter where you live. If the prize perhaps involves travel (such as to Gamescom or Tankfest) then you'll find that thre is certain requirements that are put in place.  As an example a contest on the NA server to go to an event in America is likely only to be open to residents of the United States.  

Ectar:   The postage date for entries was up the the 2nd of May, that's when all packages had to be sent by. I'm afraid it's not possible to give individual players an extended postage date as that's not fair on all other players who shipped before that deadline. the limit the 15th is because we accept that some countries are not as quick as others in sending items.     Again, all entries must be sent to us by the 2nd of May.

Ectar:   Rita is mentioned once in the article as is Quickybaby. There is no links to their profile or their content as the article was focused on the clan and not the contributors.  We wanted to have an article to go with our 5th year celebrations and interviewing a clan that had been around for about 5 years was a fitting article. Sadly due to delays on ourside the article went out later than planned.   I appreciate there is other clans our there, however I can only really deal with ones that are have English as a main language or has fluent English speakers.  If there was a 5 year old Polish, German or Czech clans looking for similar articles, I'd recommend they reach out to their respective Community Managers.   In the past our Clan spotlight articles were focused mainly on Clan Wars clans and not everyone was responsive on those articles. I want to do more stuff with clans this year and as I said I would be happy to do more spotlights if there is interest for it.
