Could You explain what is intended purpose of Jagdpanzer in current WoT environment or, in other words, what does "works as intended" means? What are Your own experiences with that vehicle and base on them do You really think there is nothing wrong with it?

Overlord: Dont remember using "works as intended" phrase as often as some
say.
While JpIV can be considered as underdog among other tier 6 TDs, statistical gap is not that huge to pay much attention to it. There are other tier and class combinations with a more significant imbalance to be taken care of.

Overlord: 1. Yup, there is certain inconsistency. We are planning to improve
things a bit with repair coats in the upcoming update.

Overlord: Those were estimations from 7.1 only. The planned income of tier 5
tanks has always been around 5000k per round for standard account.
So it's even a bit high.

The number of tier 8-10 vehicles have increased massively, as well as the addition of tier 8 premiums, players feel like they are being pushed into higer tier games with tier 5/6, giving them a hard time to earn credits even when they do manage to score some penetrating hits.
This make players play tier 5/6 even less, we have evidence that tier 5/6 play far more game where they are on the bottom of the list than they are in the top tier. Tier 8/9 are just so much more common, because we see that if you choose lower tier, you are far more likely to be on the bottom, and you have a far greater chance to earn credits in higher tiers, even without premium. Add premium tier 8 players, and you have a hole in games where tier 5/6 used to be top tiers. Numbers support all these claims, if you doubt that I can dig up numbers for you, but that'll take me some time.

Overlord: It was in the initial technical description for credits earning,
but wasn't put to production. Ie never left the paper.

contained mistake that there was such a bonus.

There's not much you can do to make the Chaffee better than the AMX, without either rewriting history, or seriously punishing those going along the medium line in the French tree. I can make money without premium at Tier VI, in a tank with better matchmaking than my Chaffee, but fills the same role.
Equally with a little luck I can make money at Tier VII, but can break even. All without premium. Again the tank for fills the same role, but is cheaper to run. That's the underlying problem. The Cahffee is more expensive to run than two tanks that are higher tiers.
This to my mind is a fundamental imbalance and a bit of a embuggerance for the game.
I suppose the easiest way to get around this issue is the M41. Then you balance that in consideration to the French Lights. Of course other nations might ask for a TVI tank. I'm sure you can find a Soviet tank that fits the bill. The Germans are a bit harder, but one of the other versions of a VK2801 could be your bigger tank (TD, or Flak panzer).
Anyway new question: This is a hypothetical.
In the future if a new class of Tank is implemented on top of an existing tree, would the "end of line" tax be removed? For example on the US light tree. If you did eventually add an M41 Light tank, would the Chaffee get normal T5 matchmaking and credit income/cost? What about the buy EXP? Especially for those who brought while expensive?

From my experience playing on the NA server, it seems like the game is becoming VERY top heavy; while playing tier 5 and 6 tanks, the vast majority of battles have a maximum tier of 8, 9 or 10.
I estimate only 1 in 20 games (or less) have tier 5/6 as max.
Overlord: With a good influx of new players and overall credit earning system
this shouldn't be a problem in the near future.
