lord_farquad: weekend specials are not related to tournaments. But yes one of our events suffered extreme lag on the initial battles due to server strain. This was primarily due to the fact that we had never run an event so large, and were unaware that it would be an issue.  Otherwise.... your assessment is very accurate. There are a lot of moving pieces, and we try to find the best solution for the majority. Unfortunately with a situation like this, involving this many people, no matter the solution, someone will be at an inconvenience.

Hypnotik: NA is by far the biggest user of this. The traffic from the EU/SEA servers is mostly through people that have spread it around. I don't have a topic like this on the EU/SEA forums.

The first playoff round is scheduled to begin at 1 pm Pacific (4 pm Eastern) according to the tournament page. Hope this helps :)

Hypnotik: Hello all. I've been getting a decent bit of feedback lately, and seen traffic increase quite a bit lately, so I just want to give an update on what's going on with the timeline and address some questions/issues brought to my attention.
Blank Maps
Recently there were a few maps that didn't have any colors filled in. This was caused by a database problem, which threw the rendering off. This has been corrected, and the maps were re-done with all the data intact. They should render correctly from here on, and I will keep an especially close eye on it the next few cycles.
Missing April 4
The API on the WoT site was changed without any notice, so the data is not available as normal. I'll try to go through it by hand within the next few days.
April Fools
I'm glad people enjoyed it. It has been replaced with the actual data now. I'll come up with a way of the joke map/data being available full time.
Server Transfer
It's taking a bit longer than I had hoped to get this done. Everything is set at the new server, but I also set some very lofty goals for myself (which I still intend on hitting) before I move it. I'd expect this within the next few weeks, and the only downtime you might experience would be due to DNS issues. I can't wait to get this on my new (stable!) server.
Thanks for the support everyone, it's been awesome to see my "this might be a cool project" idea catch on and reach thousands of people all over the world. As always, any questions/bugs/suggestions, feel free to post here or PM me.

lord_farquad: Unfortunately this is the case. There are to many potential results that would not allow us to determine what actually happened from replays. This is the major reason we had to reschedule the event for tomorrow.
