Second, I'm going to separate your ideas out a bit, as I feel as though you are talking about more than just the Stand-To's (or tournaments in general). Forgive me if I'm wrong   1. You are correct; mistakes do happen, and it's always unfortunate when they do. Sometimes the mistakes are within our control and, when we can, we strive to fix those errors as quickly as possible. Sometimes, though, what happens is outside our control and there is no way for us to fix it in a timely manner. Never think though that we are not sincerely sorry when errors happen or that we don't care.   2. Compensation. What, exactly, were you upset about regarding compensation? Just for that one tournament or in general?   I ask because we have certain policies that we follow (e.g. for general server errors, gold compensation to all players in the Skirmish; for mistakes that are corrected, we generally don't give out a general compensation to every player, instead we re-schedule and/or adjust scores as needed). I cannot think of any tournament where we haven't tried to compensate our players fairly and/or re-scheduled the battles to address the issue(s).   3. Issue from yesterday's Stand-To. Did you send in a Support ticket or did you email tournaments@wargamingamerica.com? Like all of our tournaments, we need players to email us about tournament issues, not submit a Support ticket. The reasoning is simple: we check the email box immediately; we do not have access to Support tickets. I am guessing it was a support ticket, as there was only one message regarding the Stand-To and it wasn't a dispute.   4. Links to forum and portal. I will admit, I am a bit confused about this one. Are you talking on the forums there should be a link to the portal? Or in-game you would like to see a link to the forums and portal and, by extension, to tutorials for new players? I'm thinking this is a more general issue, unrelated to tournaments.

GhostPrime:   I agree that 850w is a bit overkill. I think 520w is a little low. I use a 650w in one of my PCs and a 750w in the other.   Corsair, and seasonic are the same brand essentially in this wattage range. Corsair has a better warranty though. (7yrs vs 5yrs)    500W power supply is the bare minimum recommended for a GTX 970. a 520w would run the system, but you may want to go a bit higher, like 650w. Both solutions will save a bit of cash in the end.

Both are really respected companies.    I put an i7 in my personal PC, but I do rendering a lot and that is very CPU intensive. Most PC games are not as CPU intensive, so an i5 should be a good choice, and will save you some cash for a 980 GTX.    The 980 GTX is a very nice card. I currently only run a 770 GTX, and it runs most all games very well at 1080p no problem. Basically the idea is to build for your needs, with some room for upgrading. IMHO   There is a lot of really good advice in this thread here, and building a PC is much easier these days than in the past. It's one of those things though where the more you learn, the more you have to learn.

Pigeon_of_War: IS-3? OP? Naw. 

You can shoot in the frontal glacis pike and pen for days. Also, unless the IS-3 in question is rolling with a Wet Ammo Rack or a Loader with Safe Ammo Storage, shoot it in the back of the turret and watch the fireworks.  If you are playing a map with any terrain, watch it cry from it's severe lack of gun depression.  Don't get me wrong, the IS-3 is good, VERY good in city maps, but not OP. 


....T32 is better. 

GhostPrime: I have only used the IS-3 in a couple battles. I currently do not have one in my personal account, however I am working up to it, as I really enjoyed using it. I wouldn't say it's OP it has its strengths and weaknesses. One strengths is defiantly the angles of it's armor as previously stated in this thread.

No, I'm not doing so as "The Chieftain", I'm not insane and I rather like my job here. It's not so much that there's an official policy against my partaking in AW: After all, it's a game and what I do in my own time is up to me. What I can't do is be seen to be publicly endorsing a competitor in my 'official persona.' Therefore, I am staying below the radar. Sadly, I only have one or two games in AW so far, but that's just a factor of the time I have available to me recently not matching with the server being up. The_Chieftain:   Not specifically, no. Though given that the stated reason that Fort Knox didn't test the Firefly turret until 1946 was because they were waiting suitable quantities of ammunition, I have to presume a strong likelihood that that test was with more recent ammo.

ElPozoleOlmeca:   The bracket is the elimination round, think of the groups as a division in another sport (MLB/NFL) Each tank within that division will face each other and only each other. So tanks in group 1 will only face tanks in group 1, 2 will face only 2 and 3 only 3.

Triple_Crown:   Yes giving out so many prizes caused a little hiccup - BUT the rules were very clearly stated - if anyone brought more than 3 tanks we are sure to see disputes - usual rules , Captain only with replays but its very quiet on Forum so maybe its was very isolated and no one abused it ??   Thanks for posting...   TC
