Trevzor: Attention Tankers Another announcement from the WGA eSports overlords Hey everyone.    With the closing of Registration today, there is some awesome news! Over 1300 teams have signed up for the March Mapness tournament! That is a HUGE amount of teams to run through our still kind of new system, but it is going to be awesome!   The issue is, with that many teams involved, the amount of battles that will be played at the same time stacks so high that we are going to have to set the time in between matches to 12 minutes as opposed to 10 minutes. The match length is going to remain the same at 7 minutes.   This is a safety precaution and is good for everyone.   Good luck and have fun this weekend!   Get out there and win some tanks!

Yoott:   As stated above there is a lot of history and architecture around  from many of the different political eras in the areas history, Some enjoyed and celebrated by the population and some despised so take a note of this before going all selfie bananas on a statue.  There are also quite a few war museums and history museums around the city.            

dance210: Hi Lucasonoff!   Each tank is worth a certain amount of points, based on the tier. For example, tier V tank is worth 5 points and a tier X tank is worth 10 points.   If a tournament says that a team is allowed total tier of 20, that means that the team can bring 20 points from all their tanks. For the March Mapness, a four-person team can bring up to five tier V tanks (4 x 5 = 20).   Hope that helps explain things. If you still have any questions, please just let us know!

Players will face off in an epic 1v1 clash on Mittengard for gold and glory!! Don't have a tier VII tank destroyer? You're in luck! Players can rent the American M56 Scorpion to join the fray - snipe your way to victory! Tournament page Registration Joining a tournament and earning a prize is easier than ever! In the Tank Destroyer Throwdown, single-player teams are split into groups, with each group having no more than 10 teams. Facing all other teams in their group, the best tier VII tank destroyer commander will earn the 1st place prize - a cool 500 gold! NyxWGA: LOL! I have no idea what just happened there. I deleted the sig from the backend, which appears to have fixed it, but I have no explanation for why the sig was causing that to happen

dance210:   The XP packs are the experience personal reserves. When you active a personal reserve, for a limited amount of time (usually two hours), you will get an increase in the amount of experience earned. For the Skirmish, I normally do the medium size reserve, although it does vary week to week.

The_Chieftain:   Quite common here in California. There are three within a mile of me.  

The_Chieftain:   It seems to have brought a number of the opposition to Assad to the peace table by pointing out that the Russians are quite willing to kill lots of them. And the move-out is quite smart by reinforcing to Assad "Right, they're talking to you. Settle this."

The_Chieftain:   Does the rate matter, or the final tally? Does it matter to the dead if they were killed by Americans, Russians, Insurrectionists, Jihadists, or anyone else?   For the sake of argument, assume the war is killing 5,000 a month and is going to go on for five years if nothing happens. The American way of surgical strikes gets us to the end of the war three years from now. The Americans can proudly claim "We didn't kill a single civilian. Sure, 180,000 other people died in the meantime, but it wasn't us who killed any of them."   On the other hand, the Russians get involved in the same war, and just end it. They kill 5,000 civilians a week in addition to the actual enemy, and it's over in a month. Grand total, 25,000 dead. Plus, probably a lot fewer lives harmed as if the war is over, survivors can get back to quality of life issues like 'going to school' during their formative years. Russians probably spend less money, too.   Which of these two philosophies is actually better for the country the war is being fought in? You can make the argument that as long as the Americans don't get involved at all, the quarter million people who eventually die are not the US's problem, the US is 'clean of guilt.' But if the US decides that it is in America's interest to get involved in something, would it not also make sense that if it is worth getting involved in, it is worth getting involved to such an extent as to bring the conflict to a rapid conclusion with the lowest overall loss of life? I'm not saying that the laws of war should be removed, or that there should be an abandonment of the principle of proportionality when attacking the enemy, but 'proportional' means 'reasonable effort', not 'every single possible check and balance regardless of consequence'   I bought Elite Dangerous a month ago. Haven't had time to play it. I'm still fighting XCOM 2, which is murdering me.
