Aviation are the only two branches where the officers are routinely
expected to be pulling triggers as a matter of course. Even
infantry officers are supposed to be dispatching their squads
around, but an armor platoon leader is a part of the squad, as it
were. He can't send anyone anywhere, he's along for the ride.
Unfortunately, yes, an officer does spend less time on the steel
though, because they only have platoon leader, XO, CO time, before
being kicked up to Staff. Then, if they're lucky (I haven't been)
they may get their own tank as the S-3 or battalion CO, but at that
point, it's as much a manner of safe transportation as actually
being part of the fight. At least they still get to shoot on the
range, I guess.

The_Chieftain: I'm skeptical. We're already kindof unhappy at the fact that we've
had to occasionally double-up on one or two tanks (eg Chinese M3
Light, or T-34 also Chinese) in order to make ten tiers. Note how
we still don't have an Italian line, given how many holes we have
to fill for all ten. It seems to me that Brazil didn't really get
into the home-made business until the M3 or M41 variants, and very
arguably these X1As and Tamoyo are too modern for inclusion into
this game. If you want to propse the full tree, we'll
certainly have a look at it, but we can't just announce a line
filled with other nation's tanks and slap a Brazilian flag on it.

Subject: Illegal Mod Bans Enter First Wave
Link on message: #10678032
Link on message: #10678032
NyxWGA: We won't be listing the names of illegal mods for exactly the
reason mentioned by others in the thread. Mods are developed by
third parties with no oversight by WG. When a mod changes, we don't
require any sort of approval process, so we don't know when changes
are made, or what those changes are. If I tell you that
"CheatersRUSmod" is illegal, the guy who makes "CheatersRUSmod" can
change the name and then folks can claim that the mod they are
using isn't on the list of illegal mods. If I tell you that
"TotallyLegitMod" is fine for everyone to use, and the guy who
makes "TotallyLegitMod" changes it tonight and now it fits into the
illegal description, folks will be very angry when they get
sanctioned for using it. It would be impossible to make a
list of the name of every mod that is illegal and keep it updated.
We would only be able to tell you if the mod was illegal right this
instant. Our list would be incorrect before the day was out.
Instead, we have given you the description of what makes a mod
illegal. If the mod you want to use fits into any of these
descriptions, it is illegal regardless of who made it, or what its
name is: *Revealing the positions of enemies in a way not
included in the vanilla client. Marking objects destroyed on the
map and minimap in real-time by altering the display of shell
flight tracers or calculating the position of enemy artillery with
tracers and marking them, as well as those that keep spotted
vehicles displayed, even when not aiming at them *Making it easier
to block an enemy’s shell by indicating their exact aiming point
(for example, with a laser beam) *Alerting you when spotted
vehicles are reloading, including displaying an enemy's reloading
timer *Auto-aim, or “aimbots” that provide more functionality than
the “aim lock” in the vanilla client, specifically those that aim
at the enemy's weak spots or automatically lead the aim so the
offending player can focus on maneuvering their tank *Enabling
automatic use of non-Premium consumables *Aiding in finding enemies
by letting you adjust the transparency of objects on the map
*Leaving “ghosts” of enemy vehicles on the battlefield where they
were last detected *Any direct alteration of the physical
properties, performance characteristics, or effects of any vehicle
or object in the game, or otherwise subverting the game rules
We spend time investigating accounts, and once we have
enough evidence to be sure the account is using one of these, we
take action. Accounts that we are not yet sure about remain under
investigation until we are sure. We do not release detailed
information or evidence regarding these bans, even to the account
holders - if we shared exact information about what we were
detecting and how we were doing it, mod makers would be able to use
it to make their cheats harder to detect. Disputing
moderation or banning is not allowed on the forums, which is why
threads are being closed.

Link on message: #10677529
Link on message: #10677529
NyxWGA: Wargaming isn't doing anything illegal. When you downloaded and
began playing the game, you agreed to our Terms of Service. We have
the right to check for illegal mod usage in conjunction with the
usage of our game. We are not looking at your personal, private
information stored on your computer - that is not at all how this
works. The customer support response that is sent for Fair
Play bans includes instructions on how to clean your own registry,
so that no traces of these programs remain on your computer to
cause you problems later. It does not advise you that we are
scanning your personal information from your computer, so this is a
misunderstanding. Please be advised that posting from
numerous accounts about the same topic will cause said forum
accounts to be closed. We're not banning forum accounts to stop
posts about this topic - we are banning forum accounts that are
determined to be alts used to circumvent a ban.

office unicums (yes we have a few) loves it and has swayed me a bit
recently. It has the same gun as the Panther 8.8, a
reasonably good turret, great camo and pen. If you check the
advanced stats, especially isolating higher skill players who know
how to use it, the performance is really not bad at all. It's
still not exactly a world beater and the lack of mobility is rough,
but it's certainly not useless.

the video QB explains how to install and all of the benefits of his
modpack. Because WG has improved on it's interface in recent
patches, the main reason I used QB's is it will automatically equip
your tank and you don't have to search through your tanks to find
that cammo net or binno. Today, I popped some reserves
and was busy grinding on the latest Tier 8 Swede TD when my game
froze and a little box popped up saying that I was banned for
7 days. I have no illegal mods installed. To make sure, I read the
Official Policy, and nope, QB's mods seem to pass muster.
Here is the official policy by pizzastorm http://forum.worldoftanks.com/index.php?/forum-151/announcement-104-policy-on-prohibited-modifications/
So my reason for this topic is not to name or shame but to
warn others that if you are using QB's mod pack, there is something
in it that makes WG think its' an illegal mod. If you've ever had
any mods installed, you may want to uninstall and reinstall your
game as well. Thanks for looking, and I guess I'll see you

suck. If I ran mods, they would be a lot better.

and was busy grinding on the latest Tier 8 Swede TD when my game
froze and a little box popped up saying that I was banned for
Thanks for looking, and I guess I'll see you
on the battlefield in 7 days. PS. Check my stats...they
suck. If I ran mods, they would be a lot better. dance210: Hi Monkey_Slayer_! The policy that you found by
pizzastorm is outdated and no longer valid. That post has been
removed. The new Fair Play policy, describing which mod
functions are deemed illegal, can be found here. There is a follow-up Q&A forum thread
that can be found here.

bannable. and even then theres the undecided mods. or
mods that look or act like others. best advice,
don't use mod packs cause if theres a mod in there your not
aware of. it can screw you. find the individual mods so you
know what your using and can defend yourself. also,
quickybaby might not know all the illegal mods, or at least
the ones on NA or better
yet, just use tank skins and visual mods. no question they
are harmless.dance210:

over 6 months since its' inception. Does that mean we are going to
get double the rewards? I'm still waiting for those $5

Christmas then?

I know they are super late at this
point. But we plan to continue rewarding folks every 3 months. Once
we figure out the kinks with the distribution method the first
time, we should just be able to reuse the process going forward so
that future rewards happen on time. The first 3 month period
was Aug-Oct, so we're almost at the end of the second 3 month
period of Nov-Jan. I expect we'll have the issue sorted fairly soon
- just in time to compile new lists and award the second batch next
month in Feb!
The_Toastmaster_General, on Jan 05 2017 - 11:32, said: Is there a place in our profile or on our account where we

your warning history, it will be blank if you've never been warned
or received a strike. If you have received one, it will
specifically say First Strike, Second Strike, etc. For your
game account, there isn't anywhere that you can see a count of how
many strikes. If you receive a warning for something in-game, you
will receive an email. If you receive a strike in-game, you will
receive a pop-up notification in-game that says you've been banned,
how long the ban is for, and then something like "Strike x of 5 -
Reason - 9 digit number" (the 9 digit number is an internal
tracking number). You'll also receive an email at the same time
that tells you how many strikes you have. If you have never
received any emails like this, or in-game pop-ups, then you have no
strikes

NyxWGA: Hi folks
We definitely still plan to
give out rewards. Everyone who logged in between August to October
and played at least one battle, but did not receive any strikes
qualifies for a reward. The reward is slated to be five (5) +200%
free xp 1hr boosters. We've given out mass credits for
things like Gold and Premium Time in the past for various reasons,
and had planned to distribute these rewards in that same manner.
Unfortunately, we ran into an unexpected technical limitation - we
discovered we could not distribute these boosters via the mechanism
that we originally intended. We didn't discover this until we went
to do the crediting in December, then the holidays hit and we've
been at a reduced staff as folks took time to be with their
families at the end of last month. We're working with some
folks at HQ to write a custom script to distribute these rewards.
As soon as we have a scheduled completion date/time, we will let
everyone know. Sorry for the delay!

replays. However, I don't believe you can search for keywords in
replays.

for any of the 1v1 Throwdowns. The restrictions may or may not
return in February.
