Today I am excited to bring you the first news on the upcoming new branch to the Soviet HT Tree - bringing the line a set of super-heavies to brawl with the Maus, Type 5, and their ilk.  These armored behemoths include the IS-M, Object 705, and Object 705A.  All of them feature considerable armor for their tier, higher than average alpha, and a speed that will leave you plenty of time to enjoy some Kvas while traveling to the battle.

First up for testing, the IS-M - designed as part of an effort to modernize the IS-2.  The gameplay is classic HT style, but final values are of course subject to feedback and testing.  Please take a look and let us know what you think:

Alguns mapas foram retirados por reclamações da própria comunidade (globalmente) por serem desbalanceados e isto não impede deles voltarem um dia totalmente reformulados. No momento, os desenvolvedores estão focados em transformar todos os mapas atuais em HD e durante este processo, estão modificando os mapas que precisavam de alguma alteração para melhorar a experiência dos jogadores no campo de batalha.

Recomendo dar uma olhada no vídeo abaixo para conferir como alguns mapas irão ficar após as mudanças.

Recentemente lançamos o servidor LATAM Test e como havíamos anunciado, o servidor está vulnerável possíveis falhas durante seu período de testes. Alguns episódios de quedas ocorreram durante a semana e alguns jogadores não conseguiam logar no servidor US Central, onde eram notificados que ainda estavam logado no LATAM Test. 

Com isto, desenvolvemos este pequeno passo a passo para que caso estes eventos voltem a acontecer, vocês possam continuar a jogar normalmente no US Central.

Vamos lá...   Passo 1: Feche seu jogo e tudo relacionado ao World of Tanks Passo 2: Acesse este site com a sua conta https://na.wargaming.net/personal/ Passo 3: Clique em "Sessões", no canto direito. Aba "Controle de Acesso" Passo 4: Clique em "Completo" e Recarregue a Lista Passo 5: Espere dois minutos, abra o jogo e logue no servidor US Central

veganzombiez: The Global Map will be frozen from December 13, 0400 PT to December 15, 0400 PT.  i.e. no battles on December 13 and 14. Also, we're looking into the concerns with bonds, and reviewing solutions.

The_Chieftain:   Nope. Looks like plenty of leftover inventory. I never expected it to hit The NY Times bestseller list, but I guess even fewer folks care about failed tank destroyers than I anticipated.,   

The_Chieftain:   NACM unfortunately is doing external restorations only. The interiors are still horrible. I think the Is3 was so bad you could see the ground by looking down through the commander’s hatch.   There was white stuff visible as the airplane landed at LHR. I am informed that the heating in Bovington has broken, and that there is a sewer leak in the Afghanistan exhibit, so at least it’s realistic, but this isn’t going to be a pleasant few days!

The_Chieftain:   Down in the comments, at least one person was spouting the death trap Sherman myths but, well, youtube comment section.   $^&*#^@.... Everyone keeps naming tanks out of my top five list...  At this point, there's nothing left for me.   A bit surprised by his comment about the T-34 setting up for all the subsequent tanks of the USSR. Seems a bit of a stretch to me.

CabbageMechanic:   The Tamiya PZIII/L is still a nice exterior kit, it goes together really nice. But, no photo-etch and It has minimal interior details though, it's really just the gun. If you're in the market for a PZIII, eBay will normally turn up a few really good deals. The Dragon 1/35 Ausf.M/N is a really nice one, enough extra parts that you could build it anyway you felt like.     Wow the color on those is amazing, especially the darker areas on the lines of the tanks - so natural looking.  I love the Camo netting on the Panther as well.

We know many of you out there build models for historical or gaming reasons - show us what you have done or what you are working on and let us know how its going!  We'll share some pics of our own work and some pieces we keep around the office to kick things off.

The_Chieftain:   The problem is that American Football is a sport in which sheer physical mass has a significant advantage, and all three major military academies have height/weight standards for entry. This immediately puts them at a disadvantage compared to non-service teams. The Army has an additional problem.   For example, the Air Force won't let anyone into the Academy at 6'4" who weighs more than 221lbs. For comparison, I'm 6'5 and 215. (And getting a little pudgy, I'm trying to lose a couple of inches). Compare with my local team, U-California Bears, their offensive linesman shows as 6'4" and 310lbs. Bears' full team list with height/weight is listed here. http://www.calbears....x?path=football   The Army's problem is that they don't relax the standards for their cadets. A cadet must meet Army standards for height/weight at all times, from admission until they leave the Army. For a 6'4" 20-year-old, the official maxium is 212lbs. There is a taping policy for folks to try to better represent BMI if they exceed that standard, but as a rule of thumb, weight must be kept down.   Air force and Navy waive the standards for their athletes. Once in the academy, football players pour on the pounds. But the standards still exist for graduation. As a result, Navy players will lose over 60lbs in the six months or so between the Army-Navy game and graduation. It's not exactly good or pleasant, but it does give the Navy a very distinct line-up advantage in the Army-Navy game, and thus is a very significant reason why they win so much.

The_Chieftain: Apparently he's always wanted to get into a Churchill. He believes it will be a tight fit, because he says he's very tall.   I think he needs to change his perspective, he's only 6' 3" and a bit. I don't know what he's worried about.

The_Chieftain: I've been thinking long and hard over if I want to switch to the 5.5, but I'm really not seeing it. I would need someone to convince me that it's worth it, especially if I'm not willing to fire a full HESH loadout.
