teams were accepted. Until we knew the number of teams and number
of groups, we couldn't say how many teams would move forward from
each group.

cummulative. While it's possible some teams may
have more overall battles than the other teams, the
points don't affect the standings group to group.

something that is against the rules, please let me know personally
and it will be looked into and handled. I do ask for replays and
screenshots so I can see what is happening.
They are definitely not "above the law" and in fact have more on the line then most as their real accounts , pro accounts, league accounts, and status in the pro league are on the line.

team defeating the enemy team; it does not disqualify them from the
entire tournament. This is because sometimes a team will bring an
illegal line-up against one team, but not against the others.

dance210: The top 4 teams within a group get in. The teams are decided based
on rank, however if there is a tie in points for the last spot
(e.g. 4th, 5th, and 6th place all have 15 points), we use the
posted draw rules to determine which team(s) move on to the next
stage.
Our system ranks teams based off of points, followed by alphabetical order if the points are tied. We need to manual determine which teams win the draws, which isn't reflected in the standings.

the round robin format. The reason is, even if they bring an
illegal line-up to the first match, it is possible that for every
other match they did in fact bring a legal line-up after they've
realized their mistake or a team has pointed it out to them.
Teams are always encouraged to submit a dispute if they see their opponent doing something against the rules :)
