Lert: I strongly doubt it. You need a pretty beefy CPU and GPU and RAM to run this game acceptably. But you could always try.

View PostScowly_Mike, on Nov 21 2014 - 16:29, said: This is a real slap in the face to all of the Canadians fighting alongside in both Iraq and those who fought in Afghanistan.   I bought my gold today as I do every month, but I think I will skip making my purchase next month and donate my $113 to a Canadian Military cause.   I encourage all Canadian players to do the same, it's very easy to do and simply put, many service members put money in the pockets of WG every month.   Given the sheer size of the US force and the amount their troops pay into this game, i'm pretty surprised at 100 packs US only.   I hope enough people postpone buying gold for just one month that you notice. This game is designed around the selflessness of troops, yet for the size and profit wg pulls, it's pretty pathetic.   When it comes to excluding Canadians from the mix, well, maybe it's time to rethink paying for the game and reverting back to free play. Go ahead WG - look up my account and check how much I've spent in this game. There's lots of folks just like me.

pizzastorm:   This is our first time partnering with OSD for something like this. Depending on how it goes, we hope to expand on this in the future. We had hoped to incorporate Canadian Forces with this as well, but the timeline with   OSD didn't pan out. So we are looking to do something with Canadian and NATO forces in 2015.

Lert:   Best out of all the ones I've seen, but that's personal opinion.   Why I like +/-2 MM spread:   - Sufficient variety in tanks to fight - Short queueue times - Every tank is useful - Sufficient challenge when you're bottom tier - Sufficient 'stress of carrying' when you're top tier   Losing some of those would, IMO, adversely affect my enjoyment of the game. It is the challenge that I enjoy when bottom tier, and the 'stress of carrying' when I'm top tier. If there were no top or bottom tier tanks, that would all just meld together in a gravy of sameness. That sameness if why I never played any online FPS game for very long (and I've tried several) - everybody was always the same.   The above is just my opinion.

Lert:   It is still within the T4's own top MM range, though. If the T4 player is OK with not having the chance to get top tier, then I see no problem with him platooning with pref 5's.

Lert:   Personally I'd rather have a blue player in a properly tiered tank than an undertiered one, but given the choice outlined above, 9/10 times I'd prefer a good player in a slightly undertiered tank than a red player in a properly tiered one. IE a blue player in a Tiger in a tier 10 match can usually* be counted on to be more effective than a red player in an IS-8 in the same match.   *Usually, not always.

Lert:   Now who is pretending he is the 'arbitrators of all that is WOT'. You cite games that have nothing to do with WoT as sources to back up your faulty opinions, despite acknowledging that where WoT is concerned, you know absolutely nothing. Newsflash: this isn't any of those other games (That we also played, FYI). This is WoT.   Please stop suggesting that everyone who disagrees with you (despite having played WoT much longer than you, have magnitudes of times more games played in it than you and a demonstrably better understanding of gameplay mechanics than you) is a WG apologist. Maybe you need to read up on your Dunning-Kruger and think about how that applies to you in this situation. Pro-tip: it does, very much so. You telling us how WoT 'should be' is like me telling Michael Schumacher how to drive a formula 1 car.   Me? An apologist? Yes. Ofcourse. I fully agree with everything WG does. You know, apart from their lack of a good tutorial, clunky and unexplained vision mechanics, woefully inadequate forum moderation, inequality between server specials, buggy patch releases, pathetically unoptimized game engine, memory leaks, unreliable support with canned responses, vehicle imbalances that go unaddressed waaaay too long, ahole attitude from the Minsk leadership, etc etc etc. I have had more RO days than you posts on the forum, for speaking against WG. But, yeah, feel free to continue to claim I'm an apologist. And Bigfoot is real and Elvis is still alive, news at eleven.   I also find it very amusing that instead of trying to support your argument about why you think MM is faulty and should be adjusted, you resort to personal insults. Ad hominem is an ugly thing.   Can't handle the +2/-2 MM spread? Then go back to your precious other games that you love so much, and leave WoT for the people who can adapt to what's happening instead of blindly trying to same thing over and over and over again regardless of tier placing, map type, enemy deployment, etc etc.   Fact is that people who think +/-2 MM spread 'should be fixed' are a vocal minority. Every time this has been put to a poll so far the majority has voted for it being fine as is. Feel free to make your own poll. I dare you. I double dare you. See for yourself.
