Vollketten, on Mar 14 2016 - 19:13, said: Checking gun policy.org There are 13,935
licensed handguns in NI (18,250 rifles and 80,258 shotguns) as of
8/2/2009 (1) for a population of 1.7 million. That's a total of
112,443 firearms or 6.6 firearms for every 100 people. Nearly
identical therefore to the UK wide average of 6.7 per the
Small Arms Survey
2007 This doesn't tally with the Stationary Office
figures from 2002 which records 4.7% of the NI population holding
firearms certificates (it's under 2% in England and Scotland).
From the consulatation paper on the Control of Firearms Northern
Ireland Order 2002 we have: " 20. Following the
Dunblane shootings in 1996, handguns were in effect banned in
England, Wales and Scotland. In 1998 the then Secretary of State
for Northern Ireland announced that handguns would not be similarly
banned in Northern Ireland, primarily because the vast majority of
handguns held in Northern Ireland are held for self-defence.
(8) Between 11,000 and 12,000 handguns are held by individuals
in Northern Ireland for personal protection. (9) 21. The
consultation paper makes clear that personal protection weapons
have been granted: "only ... to those individuals whom [the
Chief Constable] believes to be under serious threat of terrorist
attack. They are not granted for the protection of money or
property. [They] ... are thus a direct result of the long history
of terrorist murders in Northern Ireland." I have no
direct expereince with applyoing for a firearms certificate in
Northern Ireland but this guy does: I appreciate he doesn't talk
about self-defence but I;d be curious to see how/why or evidence of
how liberally you say these permissions are given out. I had always
thought they were mainly to permit police officers to take a
firearm home for protection from terrorists who liked to break in
and murder them. 1) ‘Long Guns and Handguns

The_Chieftain: Yes. But the reality is that they are actually given
relatively liberally. Of the just under 60,000 firearms permit
holders in Northern Ireland (population 1.7 million), almost 3,000
have Personal Protection Permits. That's one in twenty which, I
would wager, is a good par with most US States. Data from 2012.

The_Chieftain: I have several documents with the depression, speed figures
we are using, and one (From the Palmer Board report) indicating the
same ammunition as well. Frankly, I find stowing 40 rounds to be
barely credible in this vehicle, let alone the claimed 64 in some
documents. Where the devil would they go?

Trevzor: Attention Tankers! A glorious announcement from the WGA eSports
Overlords We have been receiving many requests and pings
regarding the earning of prize tanks for the March Mapness
tournament this weekend. Our standard policy is that all tanks that
are earned in a Tournament will be compensated with the full gold
amount if the player already has this tank. After much
discussion, 2x2 grid analysis, and SWOT assessment we have decided
that, in regards to the March Mapness tournament, THIS POLICY
IS DUMB. The following will be the new prizing policy for
Premium Tanks in regards to the March Mapness tournament: Any
player that earns a Premium Tank is entitled to that Premium Tank
or it's full Gold equivalent (if they already own said tank) Upon
the announcement of the Final Standings for the March Mapness
tournament, a player that has earned a Premium Tank will have the
following course of action They can do nothing and receive their
tank or Gold equivalent when payouts are distributed (generally
within 7 days of tournament end) -OR- They may request a tank that
is part of a lower prize bracket (i.e. a team in the top 4-5% of
teams who earned a Type 62 can request that they receive a tank
from the 6-10% brackets or lower IF they already have a
Type 62) This is only available to players that already own the
earned tank Requests must be submitted to me (Trevzor) via forum PM
Requests must be submitted before 12:00 PT on Friday the 25th of
March Requests received after 12:00PT on Friday the 25th of March
will be ignored Requests must include the following information:
Team Name Link to Team Page Tank Earned Requested Replacement
Requests that do not follow this format will be ignored Tournament
Administration is not responsible for correct request formatting or
reminding players of request submission deadline Understand
that this change in policy will directly increase the workload on
the WGA eSports team. Good luck out there!

would need to play all 5 time slots against various other teams to
get enough points to make a 400+ team tournament separate itself?
Only reason why I'm really wondering is because when
registering it says to pick a suitable tournament start time, but
it doesn't actually let me choose a time. Just says Fri at 8pm
(CST), as my tournament start time. I'm trying to see if I can get
a team together, but a lot of the people I know don't have 30ish
percent of the weekend available to play video games.
Thanks.

the "Confirm" button on your team page that is near the top left,
just under the team name.

would need to play all 5 time slots against various other teams to

Thanks. Trevzor: The March Mapness tournament is a three day tournament that
consists of 5 rounds. A team's ranking is based on their cumulative
performance over all five rounds using a Points Earned : Point
Possible ratio. A small example, if you had to play 5 games
and win 5 times, you would have 15 points out of 15. That is a
ratio of 100%. If you won 5 games but played (or had to play) 10
games, you would have 15 points out of 30, a 50% ratio. This
tournament will have somewhere between 35 and 50 games played this
weekend. Remember that you will only have 4 players playing
at a time with a possible 6 players on your team to substitute out
when someone needs to leave. Plus, with the prizing being so deep,
it is very possible to walk away with prizing regardless of skill
level. Give it a shot, there is nothing to lose =D
Tazhaani, on Mar 13 2016 - 08:56, said: How do you find out if your team is accepted in a tournament?Trevzor: You can see on the tournament page if you team has been confirmed
for the tournament by your captain yet. Your team will be
highlighted in green on the Teams List.

The_Chieftain: Been playing XCOM2, finally got a copy. I tell you, it's a damned
sight tougher than the original game. I almost always end up with
most of my team in hospital for a couple of weeks, and that damned
codex barely left anyone alive. I've had to scum-save twice in
order to stay viable, and I'm still losing overall. LiB,

For the Group Stage rounds, each group (or bracket) will be a
maximum of 8 teams. For the Playoffs, each bracket will be a
maximum of 16 teams.

send me a forum PM and I will take care of it as soon as possible
(although sometimes that may mean doing it when I get in the next
day). Or, you can send an email to
tournaments@wargamingamerica.com. As soon as myself or another
eSports admin sees it, we will take care of it for you.
Whichever way you decide to go, please include Your in-game name
Your team name Name of the tournament (e.g. March Mapness, Stand-To
3.14.16, Skirmish XI, etc) What we can help you with! If you
want to disband the team or set it back to forming (allow more
players to join), you simply need to state that. If you want to add
and/or remove players, you will need to include their in-game name
and preferably a link to their player profile. If you don't include
the link and their name was spelled wrong in the email, we will
likely add the wrong player (which no one wants). If there
are ever any tournament/eSports questions in the future, feel free
to shoot me a PM or send us an email. Have a great day!

rollers/bearings of the turret race. The turret is balanced, or it
is not balanced. That has nothing to do with what's under the
turret. If you start with a balanced turret, and then extend the
ammo rack to the rear, you are going to have to do one of two
things. Either accept the fact that the turret is now less
balanced, with the disadvantages which result, or accept the fact
that you need to shove more weight on the front of the turret to
keep the turret in balance.

Quote 2. Vehicle balance: Powerpacks mean that turrets are a bit forward from the center of the vehicle. This means that with the gun, there will be a shift of weight to the front. Extending the turret back helps to counterbalance this.

The_Chieftain: Turret balance has nothing to do with the overall vehicle
center of gravity. They figure out how to balance the turret first,
because an unbalanced turret is going to lead to trouble
traversing. Then, once that's done, the turret as a system, with
its weight centered on the middle of the turret ring, is placed
onto the hull in the best place possible.
