The_Chieftain:   I thought it was later today. (23rd). 25th at latest. There have been some delays with the supporting materials.

The_Chieftain:   Apparently the fact that one goes from a series of 'small fast autoloaders' to 'heavier, slower autoloader' to 'small fast autoloader again' put a target on Lorraine as being a little 'out of character' for the line, and the BC variant suits better. Although this may be true (and I didn't actually have much issue with Lorraine, I still enjoy playing it), I do wonder what it portends for some other lines.

The_Chieftain:   I was talking with Q about that, and I think they completely missed the boat by modeling her in Atlantic configuration, and not after the St. Nazaire modifications. I mean, St Nazaire is the only reason people care. Interestingly (since I'm in Australia) the question of RAN came up, and it seems an Aussie ship approaches on the horizon as well.   Also, apropos of nothing except the odd advert Rita just put up, if I ever find you and I have my laptop, ask me to show you the video Minsk did which compared the motion suppression properties of various types of bra when subjected to off-road forces in a tracked AFV. To this day, we don't know who thought that was a good idea, and release was blissfully squashed.

dance210:   Hi Lexx2!!   You will want to go to "Create Team."   On the right side, you will see "Registration Option." The "Register Team" is the default option. When you click on it, you will see a drop down menue (see image below). The bottom option is "Register Solo." If you create a team using that option, when registration closes we will automatically add you to a team.     As a note, if you click on "Find Team," that screen will also give you the "Registration Option" with the dropdown menu. Selecting "Register Solo" will bring up a list of teams using the solo registration, if you wanted to try finding a team that way. Either way, all players in the "Register Solo" registration will be accepted and put into teams.   If you still have any questions, please let me know!

dance210: The link to the forums is still there, under the Useful Links section. If it's not there, it's because we forgot to add it for a particular tournament.   I don't understand what you mean by only seeing your match information. Do you mean that all the groups aren't listed on one page, instead you have to scroll through each group individually?

dance210:   As posted here, if a player won a tank and already have that tank in their garage, they can request a tank from a lower bracket.

dance210: Hi flatstiger69!!   If you are looking for tournaments similar to clan wars, there are limited options. Most of our tournaments vary in tiers and team sizes, geared towards more casual players (at least semi-casual - Skirmishes require a week's commitment which isn't super casual).   There are a few options though. We recently introduced our Call to Arms tournament. It's a 15v15, tier 10 tournament that requires at least most of the players to be from the same clan. The rewards for winning are mostly clan rewards (gold, industrial resources) with players receiving credits. It's a one day only tournament that starts at 3:30 pm PT / 6:30 pm ET on Saturday. Oh, and for those who aren't interested in doing tier 10, there is also a tier 8 version of the Call to Arms tournament, with lower prizing   The other option is the Clan League. Unfortunately, the qualifiers for the Champion and Challengers league have already ended for this coming season. The good news: we are planning to start what would basically be an open Clan cup series. It runs the same as the Clan League (14v14, Dual-Cap Attack/Defense map, no mods), but it is open for any clan (other than Champ/Challenger clans) to participate! Registration for this hasn't started yet, but more info about it should be up soon    

dance210:   Hiya Wildblade   1. Wargaming will not be streaming any matches. However, we do have (and continue to look for) community volunteers who would be willing to stream the matches. The only caveat: you cannot stream for the League that your clan participates in. 2. Tiebreaker map (and all other rules) will be in the player handbook. 3. Challengers schedule will be up soon™, hopefully. I still have to make it, then Vegan will post it for everyone to see. I'm hoping by end of day today, before tomorrow's captain meeting at the absolute latest.   If there are any other questions, just let us know!

  The following will be the new prizing policy for Premium Tanks in regards to the March Mapness tournament: Any player that earns a Premium Tank is entitled to that Premium Tank or it's full Gold equivalent (if they already own said tank) Upon the announcement of the Final Standings for the March Mapness tournament, a player that has earned a Premium Tank will have the following course of action They can do nothing and receive their tank or Gold equivalent when payouts are distributed (generally within 7 days of tournament end) -OR- They may request a tank that is part of a lower prize bracket (i.e. a team in the top 4-5% of teams who earned a Type 62 can request that they receive a tank from the 6-10% brackets or lower IF they already have a Type 62) This is only available to players that already own the earned tank Requests must be submitted to me (Trevzor) via forum PM Requests must be submitted before 12:00 PT on Friday the 25th of March Requests received after 12:00PT on Friday the 25th of March will be ignored Requests must include the following information: Team Name Link to Team Page Tank Earned Requested Replacement Requests that do not follow this format will be ignored Tournament Administration is not responsible for correct request formatting or reminding players of request submission deadline

dance210:   Hi!!   Trevz gave everyone until March 25th to change the tank they won, if desired (and if it fit with his posted rules). From what I understand, he is planning to give out the prizes sometimes that weekend.   Generally it can take up to 7 days after the tournament ends for prizes to be distributed. We usually try to do it sooner than that though

dance210:   Hi! If you go to the Stand-To Rules it has the prizing rules laid out:   Gold Payments Gold is credited to player accounts as quickly as possible. Gold payments could take up to 7 days after the Stand-To has finished to be credited. There may be a delay in crediting the gold if a player changes his/her name during or immediately after the Stand-To concludes.   As much as I would love to have this be an automatic process, there is a bit of a delay between the tournament ending and the prizes being credited. This lets us deal with any disputes that may come in for our tournaments.   So, thank you for your continued patience!

The_Chieftain: I don't know if I feel like a general being given an S-2 briefing on enemy commanders, or a politician being given the briefing before a press conference. I'm looking at a 25-slide deck of various personnel varying from defense magazine journalists through game bloggers, with brief bios, photos, and circulation numbers. I guess I'm expected to familiarise myself with them before I meet them all tonight. But am I supposed to remember that this face runs that website with a focus on subject Y?

The_Chieftain:   I don't think politics has anything much to do with it. Minsk just put forward an accelerated timeline for this one (Sentinel) which makes translation into the EU supported languages unfeasible, especially given the amount of technical and specialist verbiage used in these videos.
Plus, there's the matter of "public facing" and it's the same reason why, historically, we don't show Challenger's "Inside the Tanks" here as well. The logic is that Challenger is EU's public face, the person that EU relates to and people want to meet. Adding more faces dilutes that effect and simplicity. Our old community head took a similar viewpoint about me, so WGNA doesn't show his material. I presume that given both offices came to similar conclusions, there is logic and reason behind it. Both Challenger and I share each others' videos on our Facebook channels, so the enthusiasts who follow one or the other can still catch the works being put out by the other office.
That said, of late, and with the recent change in organization here, we've been a lot more willing to put more people in the light, such as Meatheadmilitia and Pizzastorm, so I think the operation here has moved to a consensus that there's no harm in putting a few faces out there. Is continued EU/NA segregation a good thing? I don't understand it myself, but just because I don't understand it doesn't mean it's without merit. I just personally wanted the audience boost for visibility, I'm not pushed about the long term decisions.
Anyway, you can expect a video filmed by the two of us to show up some point next week. I, sadly, embarrass myself and the American people in it with an utterly unforgivable lapse in a follow-up video.
As an aside, I think you're being a little hard on Challenger on the accuracy thing as well. He's usually fairly on it, and after doing this for four years, I've become a little more realistic about expectations of total perfection and you guys are making it sound like he gets things wrong as a matter of routine.     With regards to the TED talk, I do have one concern with the General's position: His implication that being around firearms should make most people uncomfortable and that it's a good thing. It is arguable that his position makes sense in the Netherlands, a fairly densely populated area with good infrastructure with no particularly dangerous animals, but I think he should take his logic about using 'the gun' to further rights should be taken to the logical conclusion of his own citizens at the lower scale.

dance210:   Up to four players can be from outside the clan; all others must be from the same clan - and it's ONLY that main clan that gets the clan prize.   So for me, I could invite four people from ouside WGA-A onto the team; everyone else must be from the WGA-A clan. If we do well enough to get a prize, the clan prizes go to WGA-A only; the credits go to everyone on the team.   Does that make more sense?
