The_Chieftain: The answer is 'no', and it's part of the reason the 75mm tank remained in production. The British could not easily convert the improved turret to mount the 17pr and specifically requested 75mm tanks. Interestingly, the American came to a similar conclusion, deciding that the 75mm could not be easily installed into the T23 turret either. The problem is that the trunnion on the larger turret is too far forward for the gun to mount correctly. I have the test report around somewhere, I was planning on writing a brief article about it some time ago.

The_Chieftain:   Absolutely not. This is not a tank for kemping. You have a foot of armor and a six inch gun. Get into people's faces and make them miserable.   I'm running 183 battles, 57% win rate, usually solo random.   Be sure to train repair, carry a toolkit. Spall liner also helpful, you will receive the attention of artillery. Never take your finger off the 'forward' button, unless you're stopping to shoot. It's a keeper vehicle for me.

Lert:   Too look at, maybe. To live in I prefer Nijmegen. It's a more liberal and open, welcoming city.

The_Chieftain:   Well, not oil-based ones. The point is more that they can fill in recesses and make them appear deeper than they appear (As well as highlighting raised detail by darkening their perimeter). However, the ability to wipe away excess is a side benefit, especially if you don't pin-wash. 

Lert:   I've lived there for a while, very nice city. Currently I live just outside of Arnhem, probably the most famous dutch city to any student of WWII history.

Lert: As some of you will know but most won't, I am born and raised in the Netherlands, Europe. Although I have visited the US twice, I've always lived in the Netherlands and still do. The reason I play on the NA server both in clanky tanks and floaty boats is because that's where my friends who also play these games play.   Today is May the 5th. This is a nationwide holiday in the Netherlands, and a widely observed one at that. 95% of stores are closed, all banks as well as all government buildings are, etc.   May 5th is known as Bevrijdingsdag in the Netherlands. Or, translated, Liberation Day.   Today marks the 71st anniversary that a combined force of American, Canadian and British troops officially liberated the Netherlands from German occupation, officially ending the war for my home country. Today marks the 70th time we've celebrated this event, the 70th Bevrijdingsdag.   I know chances are very, very slim that anyone actually involved in that beautiful day in 1945 that marked the end of five years of oppression, occupation and suffering ever sees this thread, but I would still like to take this opportunity to thank all those people who fought, all those people who sacrificed.   So, from a small and fairly insignificant country across the Atlantic, thank you. I'll be raising a beer in your honor tonight.   Dutch citizens flying the national flag in celebration of liberation, May 5th, 1945   Crossposted to WoWS forum.
