dance210: Unknown. Right now, these are only planned for July. Like all our tournaments, I'll keep an eye on how they go and player feedback before deciding anything for August.  

dance210: There is still a multi-day tournament at the end of the month, the Summer Play tournament. The idea behind the Summer Play tournament is to try having one single, large tournament that we could focus a lot of attention on. Will it work...I can't answer that until July.   And I agree, those were (are) some of my favorite tournaments, especially the Skirmish which I participated in before joining WG.

dance210: The Platournaments, Call to Arms and 1v1 Throwdown are all one-day tournaments. The main difference between the Platournament and Stand-To (other than the name) is that the former is only offered twice a week while the latter ran every day.

dance210: Hi guys! I have updated the eSports calendar for July, and want to make sure that everyone understands what's happening. So, what's happening? Community tournaments are taking a different direction starting the last week of June and into July. There will be fewer tournaments run and they will no longer happen every day. Why? This will allow us to focus on the tournaments that are running. Having one large tournament should allow us to better hype that tournament...and maybe do some cool things, like spotlighting the winning team in an article. Sadly, this means that some of our favorite tournaments, like the Skirmish, Weekday Warfare and Weekend Warrior, will no longer be happening in July. Others, like the Call to Arms for clans and the 1v1 Throwdown will continue.  During July, there will be two new tournaments added, the Platournaments and the Summer Play tournament at the end of the month. That's what's happening. Feel free to discussion our July tournaments and ask any questions here. Disagreements and constructive feedback are fine, but make sure to keep it civil.

Mugsy_:   Yes, we did require Tier X gameplay experience but the group selection was random. And, while I don't know if there is an email scheduled, please do hold on because you will get your chance. This Sandbox will be running and testing all summer long and beyond.

Mugsy_:   Vauntin is coming from a good place, we enjoy World of Tanks and want to see it improve and grow. Thats what the Sandbox server is all about. Wanting to make sure that everyone has equal input and the feedback presented is even handed is a reasonable and fair expectation. The forums can be a loud place sometimes, the signal to noise ratio works against you and often dedicated tankers feel like they need to be aggressive and shouty to be heard. But at its core, Vauntin is saying, "Hey Game Devs, make sure you get a quality sample of feedback or you'll end up hurting the game. I don't want that because I like this game." Right?

Mugsy_:   I was responding to his concerns that the communication or staff would all be Russian based. 

Mugsy_:   Currently we are testing vehicle balance, specifically high tier vehicle balance. In order to test this we needed testers who have many battle in high tier vehicles.  Since it is the first moments of the server being live, you only have visibility on the testers who are the first to stream, make posts, or share videos. This is not representative of the whole.  But, this is also a starting point. We have a long way to go and a lot of different tester groups and phases ahead of us. All I can do is hope that we earn your trust and patience over time. I hear your concerns and I can assure you that any changes need to work for everyone, we are committed to using this Sandbox server as an opportunity to make World of Tanks the best it can be for everyone. 

Mugsy_:   There are sections for every region and language available on the Sandbox forums. The forums will also be staffed by folks who speak these languages.

Mugsy_: Hello,   This server will be an ongoing environment where we will test a lot of ideas. Not all of the ideas we are testing will ever see the live game server. We will have different tester recruitment phases which will map directly to a new testing focus. The testers that are accepted will also reflect the things being tested at that time. We will be sure to receive specific and broad feedback prior to anything making it into the actual live game environment.    We all love World of Tanks. I understand that the prospect of a test server and the possibility of change without your input can be frustrating and scary. I also understand that it is hard to trust that the best decisions will be made. But this is only the first few hours of a test server that, as I mentioned above, will be an ongoing program where different groups of testers from all kinds of backgrounds and perspectives will be able to play and provide input on a lot of new ideas we are tinkering with.   Hang in there with us, I think you'll feel better about this process and our methodology to handling feedback around our Sandbox server.

dance210:   Kind of.   There will be 32 teams in the playoffs.   The number of teams progressing from group stage 1 to group stage 2 will depend on how many teams register and how many groups are made each day. At no point will a second 32 team playoff bracket be set up, so there will only be one team that wins the Type 59 for this tournament

When that happens, it doesn't count the battle. For an 8-team group, the system will score your team on only 6 battles, skipping the missed round.   Unfortunately, I don't know why the error happened, as everything was scheduled correctly on our end. This means there was a miscommunication error between our system and the client, where the battle wasn't sent correctly.

dance210:   It can take up to seven days after the end of a tournament for prizes to be credited. I have been paying out the Weekend Warrior tournaments on Fridays, so expect it to go out around then.
