connects to Russian servers?

this afternoon after reading every post on this thread I logged onto and played each server within one hour and the results are as follows-
SEA, 2465 players, 200-218 ping, 23fps.
NA, 25,353 players, 300 ping, 56fps.
EU, 9,607 players, 390 ping, 40-60fps.

should be from different graphics settings in game.

Tanitha: A whole new and empty clanwars map should be fun for you.
Just get them to dump the clan before moving to avoid the normal clan lockout's from leaving a clan.
And.
Please ask them to pay attention to...

..as some more numbers would be interesting.

GeneralDirection: I don't know if I would let that prevent you from transferring, if
the overall gameplay experience will be better for you. Specials
for the SEA cluster are rapidly approaching similarity to other
clusters for the future. As was mentioned earlier in the thread, we
recommend making the decision whether or not to transfer as a
long-term decision, because it is a one-way transfer.

The routing issue I think is mainly affecting Internode customers. I'm with Telstra anyway and have noticed no changes in Ping. Still at 120-130ms.
Edit - The other thing to keep in mind is this announcement means SEA is now responsible for support for Aus/NZ. NA will no longer officially support Aus/NZ. So this means the monthly ante meridiem tourney's may stop. Would be interesting if Lord_Farquad could comment on that seeing I think he runs them.

GeneralDirection: Tournament support for Oceania will be transferred to SEA with this

timezones.

GeneralDirection: The reason the SEA cluster's specials are not as common or as "big"
as the other clusters is because it is still in a growth phase. The
cluster just recently released, so for progression purposes
specials have been a bit more limited.

GeneralDirection: This is not true--cluster size is not what determines quality of
specials. It's the lifetime of the cluster. At a certain point SEA
will begin seeing more frequent specials just as they are released
for the other three clusters--regardless of the SEA cluster at that
time.

Tanitha: 220-250;s ok for random battles and fun for sure.
But if you want more that that, like clanwars, tournaments, etc in your timezone, then you would need to be on your local server (SEA) for that timezone support.

NA was and remained the official server for the AUS/NZ/Oceania region.
Thus still supporting that region on this server.
2nd round of transfers.

Now there is a announcement on NA suggesting the AUS/NZ/Oceania players move over for the clanwars, and full timezone support.

Tanitha: 1. The golden type 59 was a China server thing, which is not really
owned by Wargaming, its licensed out.
The SEA server is a Wargaming server very similar to NA/EU/RU under the banner of the HQ.
2. All NA staff are based in the NA office in San Fransisco except me. I live in Australia.
I'll be transferring to the SEA server to continue to work with the AUS/NZ population which will now be based on the SEA server.
3. Its a wargaming server the same as NA/EU/RU/SEA, So yes.

Tanitha: Well its not really that the "option is there" its not been there
for the last 2 years
Its been a steady progression and development to what it is now.
From nothing,
To one clan that was transfered manually at a very high cost to the players RU->EU for a testing purposes.
To now the first round of automated transfer from NA -> the new SEA server.
Where this will lead now I'm not sure because the information I last obtained on global integration is a bit old and outdated now.
But this first round of auto transfers certainly makes things more possible for the future.

Tanitha: Swapping from any server to any server is not a option that is in
place at this time.
So whatever your decision on this transfer is something that will be fixed for a while at least.
If you have any doubts, do some reading up, ponder the facts, download and test out the SEA client and its pings.
Read the SEA forums, and then make the decision on what you think is best for you.

You sound like you are trying to force our aus/nz friends to transfer. They are already doing clanwars, events & tournaments here with us. Yes, they have to wake up early in the am to do so but, some of them are.
Is the SEA server that bad that you have to steal players from here to help it??? I hear it is.

Tanitha: 1000's of SEA/AUS/NZ/Oceania players have complained since the
first transfers about missing out on the transfer from NA ->
SEA.
The common theme to that being was "we weren't presented all the information to decide, so we left it until later and then missed out"
I am providing that information clearly and bluntly now so there is no further misunderstandings as a 3rd round of transfers is highly unlikely.
SEA/AUS/NZ/Oceania players are free to remain on the NA server with limited support.
As long as they have been presented all the facts they need to make that educated decision, Ive done my part.

Tanitha: Please be reminded that this WAS the case while the NA server
WAS the official server for the AUS/NZ/Oceania
region.
So while the NA server was the official server for the AUS/NZ/Oceania server the NA server did......
Plan on getting clanwars support for the Oceania timezone.
Has put on events and tournament in the +8 UTC timezone since release.
Has this Oceania forum section here for the players in that timezone.
Local Aus/NZ holiday recognition.
Local Aus/NZ staff/support.
So yeah while NA server was the official server for SEA/Oceania then the only difference would be the ping.
Now NA isn't the official server for the SEA/Oceania population the above thing are all likely to no longer be supported on NA as they are now supported on SEA since that is now the new official server for SEA/Oceania.

Tanitha: "Some" ISP's in some locations the routing isn't optimal at the
moment, and as you said the pings can be similar to connecting to
the NA server, until that is tweaked.
The pings from Aus -> NA are not likely to improve, its a long way distance wise.
The pings from AUS -> SEA (Some effected ISPs/Areas) that are currently higher than normal due to routing, will get lower when the routing is altered and optimized.

Tanitha: Just to make sure you have thought this through...
You wish to center your game play around playing a T10 in random battles? which doesn't grind to the next tank and often loses credits?
To me the T10's are more designed for end game features such as clanwars, events and tournaments.
For which there is likely to be none offered on the NA server (In SEA/Oceania timezones) since they will be offered on the SEA server (In SEA/Oceania timezones).
Why not take that T10 into the SEA clanwars, and grind a profitable tank in random battles out side of clanwars?

Tanitha: Hello buras
Yes my current role is to look after the SEA player base, and in particular the AUS/NZ population.
I don't mean this in a bad way but posting about the EU server, in a thread dedicated to SEA/Oceania players transferring to the SEA server, into the NA forums, is going about things the wrong way.
There is a whole Eu office located in Paris in place to service the needs of the Eu players, and your plight would be better heard there. IE the Eu forums, Eu support.

It is not a 3rd party like the China server.
