How many of you would have more fun without sky cancer? UPDATED No arty game...

The_Chieftain:   That rather depends on how important it is that the platoon get from A to B. If there's a time constraint, then you're just going to have to hope that the sniper is taken aback by rapid movement, and doesn't cause that much damage. The CO is not likely to be amused if the reason you failed to show up at the support-by-fire position for his main assault was because you were held up by a single guy with a rifle.   The correlation would be minefields in WWII. Often times, when confronted by a minefield, the overall best strategy was to ignore the mines and just drive through the minefield. You arguably would take fewer casualties as you completed your mission, you just needed to actually convince people to do it. Much easier in a computer game when the effects are a little less... terminal.
