Update 9.3 Feedback Thread

View PostCallMeBud, on Sep 25 2014 - 12:09, said: Personal experience with Stronghold invite of external clan members:   MITS is a member of Gentlemen Gaming, along with HT and SSGS.  We were looking forward to being able to support each clan in our community in regards to Strongholds.  Having said that, we immediately attempted to invite SSGS and HT members to a MITS Stronghold.    The invite function will not allow us to invite people with clan tags.  This is simply dumb.   Feedback:   First off, inviting people to our Strongholds should have been UNIVERSAL, so gaming communities with multiple clans can invite anyone across the board.  At the moment, we cannot invite SSGS members, nor HT.  This limitation that prohibits Gentlemen Gaming community of clans are unable to support one another in Strongholds.   Let me emphasize this with Wargaming.net - Inviting people to Strongholds that have no clan tags is not conducive to our community goals.  If we wanted to create a public environment such as a platoon, we wouldn't be using Strongholds in the first place.     Effectively, the new ability to invite non-clan members to Stronghold battles, a clan-based battle model, makes absolutely no sense.   Recommendation:   Providing Wargaming.net values the ability to add other members to a Stronghold team, it is imperative that you create a UNIVERSAL invite mechanism.   Specifics of the recommendation:   Create a community menu where an invite can be sent out to a clan officer, where an agreement is in place to support Strongholds.  This allows clans inside a community to join other clan Strongholds.

Pubs would be an asset to a clan environment?  Pubs would operate in a team-oriented capacity? Pubs would play in a team format?   Sorry, these are some of the assumptions I feel WG addressed.  There are mechanisms in place for this - Team Battles, Platooning.   I think that there is a hidden agenda by WG to sabotage Strongholds by letting pubs play along side people that have very different views about winning.  I think WG does not intend to support Strongholds in the theme of team-oriented gaming.  By allowing clans to invite pubs, this model will not promote team work, and will actually destroy a clans ability to vet new members - we do this external to Strongholds, and Clan Wars.   I support this recommendation, as does the bulk of the leadership within Gentlemen Gaming community.   Fix it, Wargaming.net, implement UNIVERSAL invites, if necessary, create an allie panel so there are agreements in place, non-aggression pacts, whatever.

HBFT:   Thank you very much for communicating your feedback and recommendations on how we might improve the new Legionaries Stronghold feature.   With regards to your stated desire to support other Clans from Gentlemen Gaming, I can definitely see how the current iteration of Legionaries would fall short of your expectations.   As an aside, I personally see Legionaries as a great way to interact with new battle callers/prospective members in a competitive environment.   That having been said, please know that this feature is still new and we will continue to monitor and collect feedback (such as the feedback provided here) so that we can continue to have a constructive discussion about possible improvements to World of Tanks!   Just wanted to pop-in and say thank you. :)
