DomoSapien: Honestly, it's a possibility but at this time I think we may
be trying to avoid segmenting the server population down any
further. It'd be cool like for weekend events or something, though!
I'll pass on the suggestion

DomoSapien:
Honestly not sure if any official information for any potential server transfers has been posted yet. I think the powers-at-be are still deliberating. Make sure you check back to Dance's original post often! She'll update it as details come in.

DomoSapien: Got told by whom? Support? Make sure you check back on this
thread periodically as news is posted because I'm sure more
information will be posted. We aren't gathering this information in
Support at this time until someone above my paygrade says we are.
As far as any potential transfers are concerned, I'm guessing
that this thread will be the official word.

DomoSapien:
You weren't "purposefully redirected" by WG. It's an algorithm that determines range based on IP. Our website isn't super-intelligent, and there really is no underlying conspiracy behind it

DomoSapien:
If you think the ~5,000 players that moved to East from West are responsible for you losing your games, you're looking in the wrong place, my friend.
Yeah, there's a lot of good players on East. But some of the best players I know used to play on West almost exclusively. From my experience, blaming game design or conspiracies on the quality of gameplay is a poor substitute for actively seeking to improve. Keep in mind that when big things like this happen, less-active players tend to come out of the woodworks and jump back on, at least for a while, to see what all the hubub is all about.
Matchmaking quality tends to go down after every patch, and in my theory it's primarily due to this reason.

DomoSapien: Yes, the powers-at-be are deliberating on it. Different aspects of
the situation are important to different people. We're going to do
our best to make everyone happy, but of course that's not always
possible, so I can imagine we need to focus on making as many
people happy as possible.

Support doesn't actually have the tools to do anything with your Research, your Crews, your XP, Camo, etc. so this is something that needs to be accomplished by Dev Teams via Backend Data Pulls.
It's a labor intensive process, and a cooperative effort across multiple regions, offices, and time zones. It's not so much laziness or greed that motivates these types of decisions as it is Logistics.

DomoSapien: Honestly, I wouldn't bank on that. Depending on when you
were told this, things could have changed quite substantially since
then. Wait for more details for now.

DomoSapien: I know it feels like we don't read the ticket when you ask
for a server transfer. We do. We've just given that answer literal
thousands of times. When you have to tell someone "no" literally
hundreds of times in a year, you're probably going to save it
somewhere so you don't have to type it all the time
That said, Support isn't dealing with any Server Transfer requests at this time. Like I said above, any potential transfers would be handled through a backend data pull by Dev Teams. Support literally does not have the tools to process these requests. There are aspects of your profiles that we can't manipulate at all.
This thread will be your go-to source for any info pertinent to the Central Server.

All the more reason skill needs to be taken into account in MM. and don't say it can't because they did it in the ranked battles.
DomoSapien:
~5,000 players transferring to your server isn't going to torpedo your winrate. In addition, quite a few West players would still quite frequently play on East.
Matchmaking quality always goes down for a couple weeks after a major patch. That isn't West Server tomatoes, it's disengaged players jumping back on to see what's new. I've been recently obsessed with PUBG so I haven't been playing as much WoT as I like. I got the Primo Victoria so I've been playing a bunch this week and I'm honestly not as good as I normally am. Tanks is like riding a bike to an extent, but if you haven't ridden a bike in 6 months you'll probably stay out of the halfpipe for a while and get a few bruises on your first day back at the BMX park.

DomoSapien:
True story, we used to have a
CSR who is currently working on his Masters' in Psychology,
"Confirmation Bias" was a frequently used term in his tickets about
Matchmaking and Penetration mechanics.
