AgentXIII: Just a friendly reminder that a speedtest does not show routing
data and therefore does not show issues en route to our
servers. As an example, last year (I forget the exact
date) we had a peering issue with Time Warner Cable just outside of
Ashburn that I spent a week working with Time Warner to resolve. I
use Time Warner as an example due to your speedtest, although we
also had an issue with Comcast customers being incorrectly routed
to Japan and back just a few months ago. My point is,
internet issues happen and in different areas and while I admit
that sometimes it's on our end, this is not always the case.
Remember that weather and maintenance also happen and its not
always us. This is why we ask that players submit support
tickets with pingplotter reports, because if we don't have the
information to investigate we can't get a hold of the appropriate
people to resolve connection issues. Also, this post is
probably better suited for the support forums and not fan
creations. =P Tin Snips anyone?
