Public Test 1.4 Changes to Reward Tanks

View Postblockypanzer, on 23 January 2019 - 05:43 PM, said: For someone who accused me of not reading posts, you seem to have not read my post.  I specified the range (200m), the target (lower front plate) and the % of hits and pens. For the record, some shots missed the LFP, hit the turret or UFP and obviously bounced, but for the purpose of the test (sniping at 200m with the Leo at a fairly large weakspot on an IS7) the accuracy % ought to be measured by shots actually landing where you aim them.   I brought up this video/test as an example of the game mechanics which, as a player you have no power over, causing a very high rate of misses. That was with a very accurate gun (maxed out Leo is 0.27 acc) vs a large weakspot (LFP of IS7) at reasonably close range (200m) with both vehicles totally stationary and every shot fully aimed.   In the context of Ville67's point about the Object 279e cupola and missing it 95% of the time (which I still believe you belittled in your reply, which you A. denied sending, and B. seem to think was acceptable for someone in your position) we're talking real game scenarios, where the enemy is likely moving, fully aiming your shots is a luxury that cannot usually be afforded, and range may not be so close. As I said, even if you had an aimbot that locked onto that tiny weakspot, by the mechanics of the game alone, you'd miss it 95% of the time like they said. Guns in world of tanks are not lasers, and after 45K battles you should know well enough that weakspots like this are not worth even trying to hit under most conditions. Despite knowing this, you still suggested the player was at fault and not the game mechanics relating to weapon accuracy, or the laughably small size of the weakspot in the first place. Your reply took a valid concern (the only frontal weakspot is tiny and all-but impossible to hit) and threw it back at the player, implying they were directly at fault and should do something about it themselves.    At what point are you going to take on board some feedback from these forums without dismissing it, belittling people's concerns about the game, changing the topic, or just outright deleting posts? Can we get another team member to speak to us about this please?

eekeeboo:   Yes I read it, once again there's a difference between "Missing shots 95% of the time" and "Not hitting and penetrating 70% of the time". Please take the time to read the full response, unless you're saying he missed 95% of his shots and the 5% that hit only 30% penned?    It's not about belittling it's about making realistic claims, if you make an unrealistic claim to try and prove a point, you need to consider carefully what you say. Again, when this becomes unrealistic to expect people to think and consider before making wild and untrue claims. Guns aren't lasers, but the only reason you would EVER miss the cupola 95% of the time is if you're at an extreme range or an odd angle. Furthermore, if you are going to sit there in that situation, you cannot blame the tank because you were unwilling to re-aim, relocate or change tactic.    If you're aiming at the cupola and relying on this shot to get damage, there's a great deal many things you could have done leading up to this point to avoid that, least of which.... moving. There's a difference between taking on legitimate feedback and having to say to not encouraging to get better at a game or call people out on lies, false claims and inaccurate or biased opinions.    For deleting posts, it's simple. Follow the forum rules, don't get punishment. The fact you're talking about the forum moderation, breaks the forum rules. People who have posts deleted and here yourself, simply NOT reading what you're being asked to read. At a certain stage I shouldn't need to keep reminding you and pointing out to you, read the rules. It doesn't matter how you feel about the rules, they are there for a reason. You can follow them and stay on the forum, or you can keep breaking them and leave the forum. It's your choice.
