"For this month, we will be doing regular All Star contests. Each week, we will be holding two All Star contest a week: one for Monday – Tuesday, and one Wednesday – Thursday. They will alternate between low tier tanks (1-5) and high tier tanks (6-10). This will be a test for January; your feedback would be appreciated to see if we should continue this each month or not!"
Monday - Tuesday.. and Wednesday – Thursday .. Why would you put events on those days, instead of the weekends. Go on, school those above you, the ones making these decisions, claim your brownie point for having common sense.

I am in New Zealand and I wonder if the time zone means we don't see the couriers. Most peak playing time is the 8 PM to midnight which is probably the small hours of the morning for the USA courier.
Any comment from Australia or NZ based players welcome.
Is it possible to get a volunteer or two to run as a courier in the Oceania time zone. I would be happy to do it to give locals a chance.

akoaih, on Dec 30 2011 - 21:48, said: I must be missing the point then. The clan leaders also have access
to the already-existing forums you mentioned, correct? And as for
me, only the Suggestions forum would apply since I do not belong to
a clan. Based on the description of this new forum I got the
impression it would be a place where topics normally frowned upon
could be discussed. I do agree that transparency is a very good
thing but certain topics are so verboten I dare not even post a
suggestion regarding them. I was hoping this new forum signalled a
change, thus my previous post.

Link on message: #1246745

GeneralDirection: The primary intent of the forum is for clan leaders to discuss
clan-related gameplay between themselves, as well as a means for
passing on their clans' concerns through the forum. As Ultimate
Conquest expands to offer features for players not in a clan, we
will look at creating additional feedback channels.
The goal here is that we're able to keep a consistent communication going between the clan leaders or representatives that have a pulse on what hundreds of their fellow clan members are thinking, so that we can quickly and easily pass specific feedback on to the Ultimate Conquest designers. This is extremely important since the features are currently considered as beta.

Gaea: Right now, for January, we are testing a set All Star system that
won't really be changing throughout the month other than the tanks.
As usual though, if the overall feedback we get is to change the
rules, then we may consider it.
Also, we usually like to keep the more difficult and variable point system for the MVP contests that we do.

Arctander2, on Dec 30 2011 - 19:49, said: I find it interesting that an opinion poll, based on feedback of
around 100 people (so obviously many of us were unawares) had a
55/45 split (really surprisingly close.) I wonder what the voting
split would've have been if it was an informed group, and what it
might have been if the community knew that the process of removing
the tank locking might cause ClanWars to be halted for several
weeks (and indefinitely longer.)
I would really wonder if the majority would rather have CW restored presently, with tank locking. Is there a chance we might be able to have an official poll (that maybe gets some attention from the "News" or Overlord's blog to help make sure we get a bigger consensus?) - which asks the player base if they would rather have Clan Wars with tank locking and see how it goes, or to have it delayed for a while longer until the devs can get the tank locking taken out?

That would definitely be cool as long as they can try and minimize the latency issues with netcode optimizations. It would give us a much larger pool from which to assemble matches and I think we'd see any perceived issues with the matchmaker disappear.
