View PostLogos, on Jul 19 2012 - 18:19, said: My team CAZA is very intrested in this awesome epic challenge.

I have some questions.

- How it will be done with people that are not from US? We are from south america. so, can we participate too?
- If we can, the cost for the plane tickets and hotel is still on them? Clearly the cost of a ticket from chile is much more expensive than...well any place in the world.
- If we win, our flight plan should not make a stop in US, cause for that we would need to get visas and for that we are already late. Flight plan should be with stops in europe.

I make all this questions and comments to see if we sign in or not for the tourny.

Waiting for an answer and thanks!

Vallter:
1)Yes, you can participate.
2)Yes, we still will pat for the tickets. Last time we had 2 persons from Chille and 5 from Argentina.
3)No, it will be a direct flight to Moscow... Well, considering all transfers between planes and staff like this.

Will we be needing passports?

Or is it special circumstances as we'll be limited to sticking with WG. personnel/or something while we're there?

Vallter:
Yes, you will need passports.

Last year half of our guys couldnt go because of the mix up on the Russian Visa and the constant moving of the date of the Finals.
It cost us big time as half our guys had to play from the US

Vallter:
Yes, we have company contacts and process smoothed. So hopefully everything will be on time.

I want to personally sorry for the delays last time. It was not because of Wargaming.net

View PostAelomnomnom, on Jul 20 2012 - 01:54, said: Vegas.  Because it's a place people actually would want to go to even if they didn't get free plane tickets and everything else, and it's not Russia in the winter.

Vallter:
It's hard for many countries to obtain the USA VISA. Even for Wargaming.net employees-)

View PostE_Man101, on Jul 20 2012 - 04:12, said: Some of our guys were asking if the trip is paid for by wargaming.net for all the teams going to Moscow from North America? Money could be an issue for some if it's not, I've been to Moscow, not the cheapest place on earth. But, $77,000 split ten ways would be nice. I know the competion is going to be fierce, but hey, you miss 100% of the shots you do not take.

Vallter:
Trip is paid for all best 4 teams of NA server. Also, $77.000 is a common prize pull, so even the first place will receive less-)

View Postsharpshooter345, on Jul 20 2012 - 08:04, said: if say  my clan put  a team in and i used my account but  i didnt have a passport and my team was in the top four could someone else in the clan  that has a passport  go and use my account? and is it all expenses paid?

Vallter:
1)Account sharing is officially prohibited.
2)You have 3 substitutes in your team for that.

View PostConflict, on Jul 20 2012 - 08:40, said: Er...does Farquad have any control over this?, seems a bit...how do I put this...well the guy from Minsk HQ is posting...

Yes, he does. He is just currently on his trans-atlantic flight to Minsk, so he cannot be an active poster. Here all final details will be discussed.

I'm curious, do the devs keep track of the statistics of the game modes, for example: average win/loss percentage on Malinovka assault.
So far alot of map related balancing involves just "removed xxx from map" or "removed xxx from map rotation" without providing the reason.

GeneralDirection: Yep. Generally any time we remove a map it's to improve its gameplay flow. That is always based on data.

View PostYorrick, on Jul 19 2012 - 00:29, said: are you going to replace the tool hint in the depot that said which tanks our moduals are on ? it went missing in the last update
or are you not going to replace it in the hope that people buy moer moduals for their tanks
ps even better this tool hint would be best in the garage and yes i do mean a mouseover tool tip

GeneralDirection: Will bring this up. Usually if something like that is removed, it's not intentional.

View PostApplesauceBandit, on Jul 19 2012 - 06:33, said: So if you skip a question on your answer post, can we just assume you are still trying to find the answer? I noticed mine was not in the list.
And a question: With the physics update getting closer to release, should we expect the physics engine to lower your FPS at all?

GeneralDirection: Yeah, if I don't answer something, it's generally because I don't have an answer yet. I'll start stating that rather than just skipping a question.
Regarding physics, it shouldn't impact performance much at all.

And lets be honest, removing a tank and "Reserving it for limited sales" is pretty much the same thing. It's curtailing the availability of the tank in order to promote newer tanks which will be more profitable in the long run for wargames, and that's fine. Just don't try to hide it behind vague wordplay.

Vallter: No, removing tank means remove it completely. Like we've done with T23.

Can you release buff specs? I would buy depending on the buffs (ie little health buff wont move me)

Vallter: Sorry, typed incorrect price. It will most probably cost same to the Test server price. No specifications for now, we are still testing the vehicle.

Vallter: We just don't want to screw people, who planned to purchase it in the nearest future.

Type 59 - 7,500 gold
KV-5 - 7,500 gold
Lowe - 12,000 gold
New line-up:
JT 88: 10,000 gold
IS-6: 11,800 gold
Lowe: 12,000 gold
Clearly just a coincidence and definitely not one of the reasons.

Vallter: Would be great conspiracy, if not 1 thing or, better say, 2 in 7.5: DickerMax and SuperPershing

View PostFlyinAlex, on Jul 19 2012 - 18:03, said: Hmmm. The new balancing for KV-5 will be a bit worse than what we have now (currently it sees no tier 10 or tier 9 meds). But it is still a tempting tank to have for training russian crews (better than IS-6 imho because of speed and DPM). Tough choice. And no longer available to check it on the test server either. :(

Vallter: It will see Tier 9 meds at max. No Tier 10 medium vehicles. As compensation for that it will also receive a buff.

View PostBeatinthebush, on Jul 19 2012 - 18:12, said: Of course at a higher price. The reasoning behind this is most likely because the sales and overall profit of the kv-5 are lower than other premium tanks. This will get people to buy it before it gets removed. Then they will toss it into the gift shop here and there for a higher price. It has nothing to do with the game itself. Any reason they give us sounds like a excuse.

Vallter: With introduction of new vehicles and new Premiums KV-5 just lost it's concept of 'steel fortress' with bad gun. So it was decided to remove it from regular sales

Vallter: They are not removed, just reserved for limited offers.

lord_farquad: I apologize for not communicating earlier. Due to Panzacs move it will not be possible for there to be a match between the two of you. Your team will receive the 3rd place awards. We are currently looking into solutions for the PANZAC members who are now on the SEA server.

Vallter: Becase KV-220 is rather a boring vehicle in comparison with western CBT tank.
