Maybe he can answer himself? :Smile_amazed:

He is the me (and then some since the office is still in the growth stages) of SEA. He's heading up Community and GMs. He moved over specifically because of his knowledge of the Oceanic market. The folks who moved to SEA are in very capable hands now. :)

Also, in your comparison you compare the 4th of July with Victory Day (also known as VE Day).  This is not a US vs Russian comparison, this is a US specific vs general Allied event.  VE Day is recognized on many calendars in the US, but it is not an "observed holiday" on most corporate or governmental schedules.

GeneralDirection: This. Victory Day signifies the end of World War II in Europe. I dare say that was one of the most important dates in the history of mankind. It's actually a shame it's not a world holiday.

When releasing promo codes in the future, would it be possible to hold back from releasing the code until the time is right? As proven many times, people simply don't bother to read and attempt the code only to find out it doesn't work. Then they come here and start whining (yes, I realize whining is a strong word. Gotta exaggerate things you know  :Smile-hiding: ).
I remember for the Golden Joystick, you held onto the code until it was active before you released it. This should happen everytime as I believe that it will help clear A LOT of confusion. (Or maybe it was another event.....but that's not the point)

GeneralDirection: Yeah, this will probably be the last time we announce the code in advance.

I mean seriously don't you damn rusky devs at WG think its about damned time you showed your NA player base a little bit more appreciation during the major US holidays since we ARE your major source of revenue for this game and your damned paychecks?
I guess what im saying is if this is how your specials are going for NA holidays we better be getting a goddamned free prem tank for christmas from you guys at WG!

Your first battle mode sounds similar to Kormarin - not sure if that map will be reworked and re-introduced with the others. But it was a very cool map to play on.

Captain_Judo: Congratulations to SIMPLISTIC, winners of the Veterans Challenge, Tier 8 Tournament!
Wargaming America's first cash tournament has it's first cash winner! SIMPLISTIC quietly began their journey out of Group 8 in the qualifying round and suffered a loss to Rilaks Raiders just before closing out qualifying play for the night. The loss left SIMPLISTIC tied for first in their group but they advanced as the group winner due to their head-to-head results with Broviet Union.
SIMPLISTIC's playoff run presented an intimidating schedule as they faced teams of players from leading clans. The Silent Ones, unbeknownst at the time, nearly changed the fate of the entire tournament by just losing to SIMPLISTIC by a final score of 3:2. This certainly awoke SIMPLISTIC as they rose to the challenge and strolled through to the final, dismantling their remaining opponents, HZRD and Leftover G's, by a combined score of 6:0.
The much anticipated championship game reunited brother vs. brother where both finalists belong to the same clan, SIMP. Runners-up, S.I.M.P., is composed of many players that championed our 3-month long, World of Tanks Classic. However, on this night, it was little brother that brought glory back to the SIMP clan as they were the victors by a final score of 3:1.
Give the champs their due credit  :Smile_Default:

Captain_Judo: Congratulations to Netwarriors, winners of the Veterans Challenge, Tier 6 Tournament!
You'd have to dig deep into the qualifying round to locate Netwarriors atop Group 32 where they swept their opponents and took all 21 out of 21 points available! This dominance continued until they faced a daunting task against BrOgre's Nest of Simpers and scraped through with a 3:2 victory. This may well have been the wake up call Netwarriors needed, as they marched through the rest of the playoffs undefeated. Netwarriors continued their sweeping form into the championship by defeating a tournament favorite, WAR - River of Blood, 3:0.

Captain_Judo: Congratulations to BLOOD & THUNDER, winners of the Veteran's Challenge, Tier 4 Tournament!
BLOOD & THUNDER began their journey by sweeping Group 12 of the qualifying round. This undefeated streak continued well into the playoffs where eventual runner-up S.I.M.P. presented their greatest challenge. But S.I.M.P. were also unsuccessful in attempting to take down this juggernaut that is BLOOD & THUNDER!The final score was a convincing 3:1 result.

View PostGarbad, on Nov 20 2012 - 02:58, said: Thanks to WG posting replays before the tourney was over (lol?), we knew exactly what SIMP would be running and where their scout/arty liked to go. We knew they would run 3x 50 100, a VK28, and a Su-26. We also knew SIMP's reputation for hard camping (like most teams this late in the tourney). This shook things up for us, as the light/arty allowed SIMP to camp and reset cap without risking an unfavorable engagement. This meant that the tables turned -- this round, we would be forced to fight on unfavorable terms or give SIMP the ability to camp/draw at will.
Despite this, we had a fatal flaw -- hubris. We thought that if we simply mirrored their build, we could win based on player skill. We hadn't played the build, but despite this we loaded it up and rolled out. Almost immediately, their practice showed. We took hits early by tanks prezoomed, then lost the initiative. And three games in a row, when the press came, we made ragged charges into an opponent waiting for us with superior focus fire.

GeneralDirection: Good write-up, except... we didn't post the replays until after you lost to S.I.M.P. The replays posted were from your battles against them.  :Smile-tongue:
