Then simply put the rest of your team together and send a request before registration closes. This way you will always be one of the first teams accepted and avoid the rush of getting every last player on the roster before you can apply the team.

Captain_Judo: This is likely because your team has already submitted their application for Skirmish 2 and are now "pending approval". Once a team is in this status, it cannot be modified.
Send me a PM with links to the player's profiles you wish to add to your team.
Keep in mind that we offer roster modifications only until registration closes.

Hypnotik: Correct me if I'm wrong GD, but nogg it sounds like he's saying there will likely be two different 215b's (like how the T110 has the E3, E4, and E5 versions), not that you get a free tank for owning one.
Although the original word was that it would be moved, not copied. There might have been a mis-translation somewhere causing this confusion.

View PostMerentar, on Jan 04 2013 - 18:51, said: FreeXP is not working for "hyping" this type of event. You should at least add a Badge for Sheriff kills.
Now from what I've seen so far with 3 Sheriff games is that there is far far less suicides to get the killing blow on the Sheriff since the reward is not worthy of being called a reward. Maybe bump this to 3000 FreeXP and add a "Bandit" badge for killing Sheriffs or 5000 FreeXP.
The good news is that all 3 Sheriffs were cool about the people whining and kept on being friendly. KUDOS to those guys.
I prefer the return of 500 gold per kill but if you need to stick to FreeXP at least consider my suggestions.

dance210: 1. You are assuming this event needs any "hype." Once a player clicks Battle and sees a Sheriff in the match, s/he is involved in the event, whether they like it or not. I guess they could ignore the Sheriff, but if he's on the opposite team that may make winning more difficult...
2. In the past, one of the gripes has been that the team without the Sheriff suicide rushes, more often than not causing that team to lose. And yet you say:

Quote Now from what I've seen so far with 3 Sheriff games is that there is far far less suicides to get the killing blow on the Sheriff since the reward is not worthy of being called a reward.

dance210:   This leads me to believe that a gripe has potentially been fixed, in a way that is beneficial for the entire team. Yes, the reward is smaller, but it is still there.
Unless I am crazy and my logic is flawed and/or players don't really want to promote team work and positive game play over individual gain, changing to a lower amount of XP seems like a plus to me.

dance210: Wow, the amount of whining and fail in the threads Re:Sheriff events are truly amazing. I’ve taken some time to think over what the “playerbase*” wants, and this is what I have come up with. Warning: it is all from memory as I didn’t feel like going back through some of the old threads  - once was more than enough. If I happened to miss a complaint some constructive feedback, please let me know:
*Note: does not reflect the opinions of the entire WoT population

1. More Sheriffs playing all the time. But they should be either a) WG employees, not those who are trusted by and subject to the rules set forth by WG or b) anyone in the “playerbase” who is willing to volunteer.
2. Sheriffs need to play all tiers, not just Tier ___ (insert whichever tier the “playerbase” is currently not playing). They also need to play all hours as they are never on when “I” am.
3. Less bot/idiot Sheriffs that are really hard to kill and play well. (I know, I’m amazed by this too).
4. Equality for all! It’s unfair that only one team and one member of that team has the chance to win a reward.
5. When “my” team doesn’t have the Sheriff, everyone (except “me”) plays stupid to try to earn the reward. Therefore, we need a large enough reward for “me” to justify possibly changing my play to attack the Sheriff but not for “them” (aka the rest of the team). Preferably gold, although the equivalent in free XP or credits may be deemed suitable.
Major, if I may be so bold, here are a few suggestions to the above complaints constructive feedback that may make the “playerbase” happy:

1. Obviously 100 Sheriffs, a mix of WG employees and trusted players, are not sufficient to meet the demands that everyone should be able to find several Sheriffs during an event. Therefore, perhaps increasing the number to 1000 Sheriffs would work better. More could work, but please keep it to multiples of 1000 (see 2 for explanation). Oh, and it should be open to everyone, not just a "select few."
2. To make sure that there is always a Sheriff playing every tier and every hour, Sheriffs should be given assignments. For example, Sheriffs number 1 – 100 would only play Tier 1, and four would be assigned to each hour (the extra unassigned Sheriffs could be floaters and play at any time, or be assigned to some peak hours). For each tier during any given hour, there should be at least 4 Sheriffs playing – still not perfect, but more fair to all, true?
3. I’m really not sure how to fix this. Is there a way to fix a bot playing well? Should it be fixed?
4. Equality for all! Instead of having the person who kills the Sheriff get the reward, make it a team reward. If the Sheriff team wins, that team receives a reward, if it loses then the enemy does. Any other way is unfair and should not be considered. This is a team game after all and winning is all about team work.
5. Gold is the preferred currency and yet 500 gold seems to make idiots out of teams. Therefore, the amount of gold should be reduced. I am a bit confused as to whether 1250 XP will deter or encourage players to perform a mad rush to kill the Sheriff, so perhaps its equivalent (50 gold) is still too high. Is it possible that 5 gold is too low to reward “me” even if successfully deterring “them”? Although it's possible that the problem is simply the presence of the Sheriff, in which case the reward has no bearing on how the team (including "me") plays and can be as high or as low as WG deems fit.
/sarcasm
/rant
Honestly, I enjoy the Sheriff events. The few times I’ve seen a Sheriff, neither team has acted stupid and the Sheriffs have always been mature players who did their best to help their team. I could care less how much or what the reward is, part of the fun for me is seeing the Sheriff and knowing I have a chance to kill him. Yes, the free XP is less than the gold, but for some players that may not matter. For me, any bonus free XP will help me get a new tank or upgrade a module quicker, and that works just fine.
Please remember as you complain give constructive feedback, that just because it doesn't work for you, doesn't mean that other newer or badder players won't find it helpful. It's nice to see WG changing the prizes to see what will/will not work for the future. It would be awesome if they decide to go back to gold rewards but it’s not a game breaker if they don’t.
Thank you to WG for running these, and other, events. And thanks to the Sheriffs who volunteer; I look forward to trying to find you in battle this weekend  :Smile-izmena:

- SerB awaits a (data) package from Bovington - if all goes well, the tier 10 Brit heavy will be replaced (SS: yes, this is a conclusion I made, because SerB wrote this about a month ago also)
- the British T10 heavy is going to get probably replaced indeed (SS: this answer was very vague, this is not a 100 percent statement)
- "If the FV215b is moved to the TD branch and new tank is introduced instead of it, the player stats will most likely be transferred to the FV215b TD" (SS: so, they ARE considering a transfer and not a FV215b copy after all)

GeneralDirection: Just to be clear, the 215b TD is not the same as the heavy. It would have the 183, obviously.
The heavy is not changing as of right now. We need more info before that happens.
For now think of it the same way as the T110 series.

In this Skirmish 2 format with 15 guys teams can't just 'force fill' a team and submit immediately, at least most teams can't. Which is why it's still possible to submit this morning and get in.
But in most of the skirmishes, A-la Skirmish 1, Skirmish 29, 28, etc. due to the lower team size playable(usually 7 players), it's turning into a blitzkrieg submissions contest.
For example:
The contest releases at 2pm PST wednesday. By midnight the available slots are dwindling(if there are any left) and by 9AM pst the following morning everything is filled with a hoard of teams who submitted and will never get in. Tl;Dr if you want to actually compete for sure you must submit in the 12-15 hours following the Skirmish release. I'd like this changed by upping the teams accepted.
And I'm not just a slow poke who's mad, I'm in Skirmish 1 and Skirmish 2(pending approval), but being forced to submit in such a short time-frame really cuts down on your ability to pick and choose a team.

And I'm not just a slow poke who's mad, I'm in Skirmish 1 and Skirmish 2(pending approval), but being forced to submit in such a short time-frame really cuts down on your ability to pick and choose a team.

Gaea: This is very unlikely seeing we're a 13+ game.

You suck and nobody cares for your opinion sorry.... I'll uninstall this game if i hit 14k battles and have stats like yours.

Yoott: You should uninstall instead of coming here and complaining about how hard the endgame is to you... and yes my last 60 days if you have one that shows last 120 - 180 days by all means check it out all over 52%.........when I started out my first 5 - 6 k games I was playing bad ... now it takes 70 + wins to move the % by .05 of a point.....

Yoott, 14k battles = 49% wins lol and your tier X win ratios are lmao funny so please shut up and walk away now tyvm.

Yoott: Yep im terrible player.. and my tier 10s are down because I choose to take my undertiered ... under manned clan in CW each night for training .. sorry I CHOOSE to lose 3 games a night in them and pay the repair bills you are complaining about...

seems my last 60 days have been well better then your stats so you want to keep heading that direction?

All SPGs are tier II or below??? below tier II??? we dont have any!!!  :Smile_veryhappy:

Captain_Judo: That's because you're completely free to show up with imaginary Tier 1 arty!  :Smile-hiding:

Captain_Judo: I strongly recommend sending a PM to any team captain who's team is short of the minimum player requirements. Often times, teams are short only one or two players to meet the eligibility requirements for participation. You can visit the registration link and sort the teams by "number of participants" to locate these teams in need of just a few players.

Captain_Judo: Good feedback, Millard. We'll keep this in mind for the next 'large team' skirmish.
