dance210: The chat channel was set up so that the players could ask the Admin questions - such as what time(s) the matches were taking place, how many match(es) were being done in one day. It WAS clearly stated that the captain or another representative was expected to join the chat channel yesterday any time after 2 pm Pacific. Would it have been better to post the times somewhere on the website so that there was no confusion? Yes. But there needs to be some personal responsibility to ensure that the rules made sense and to ask questions as needed.
While I feel bad that you missed the second match, I would gather that most of the teams with a bye the first round, including mine, made sure to contact WGLNA admin to check that there was only 1 match being played - or saw on the twitch channel that both the 128 and 64 rounds were being played.

Major_Rampage: Those tanks  are not on special for the weekend special because they are indeed on the "On Track" Event.  The On Track discounts are still in effect.

View PostTrigger_Happy_Jax, on Jun 04 2013 - 18:47, said: Stuff happens. This just sounds like bad luck for you, your arty, and your team. Artillery shells can take around 7 - 9 seconds of flight time from button press, to impact.Get used to it. With the coming "improvements" to artillery extending flight time of shells, coupled with reduced accuracy, friendly fire from arty should be more common to see after 8.6 update. Fun times ahead.

Trevzor: Yeah, no. Current air time from that gun at max range is about 3 and change seconds. Still plenty of time to bork the shot but not near as bad as stated. That gun is also quite effective up to tier ten tanks, so seeing soviet arty of the current tier six and up watch out. Soviets have some of the most accurate arty in the game assuming it is a 100% crew so whacking a team mate should almost never happen. That said, always assume your arty's crew SUCKS and will hit you if you are near a tank. Sometimes arty safe means your arty, too.
If you see the arrows denoting inbound artillery and you can kill the target in, say, 3 seconds or less prepare for HE rain. Personally, I "T" the target for every shot, usually twice. First a T with a time following, such as 10s. I will then T again @ about 2s then send the shot. At that point all tanks have had about 15 seconds warning that a shell is inbound and, hopefully, landing on or near that tank. If more arty did this it would cut down on these incidents.
As for your mishap, I am willing to bet that if it wasn't a T92 this wouldn't have happened in this way. If you haven't played arty yourself, or just not made it to the upper tiers than you don't know that killing enemy arty is the one thing you are EXPECTED to do. If you see a square on the map, your reticle needs to be on it. It is your job. He was doing what is expected of him. I'm not saying it was right, just expected.

Mugsy_: To each his own, thanks for checking it out. Perhaps as the beta testing process continues and the game evolves you will find it more to your liking. In fact, you should consider working with us as a beta tester and constructively participating in the game's development process. The World of Warplanes community has been incredible and their valuable feedback has gone a long way towards improving WoWP, especially in the last four months.
