The_Warhawk: Hey Everyone! It's The_Warhawk! I'm happy to announce
that Wargaming America is going to be hosting two player gatherings
in Florida on 3/21 and on 3/26 and a Meet and Greet in Texas on
3/28. Here's the details, On 3/21, myself and
ElPozoleOlmeca will be at the National Museum of Naval Aviation in
Pensacola. We'll be there from 1300-1500 EST to tour one of the
finest collections of aircraft in the world. For those interested
in attending, the admission is free, however, since the museum is
located on the grounds of Pensacola Naval Air Station, a valid
state or federal ID is required. Afterwards we plan on
adjourning to a local restaurant, Beef O'Brady's, where we will be
from 1600-1700 for dinner, drinks, and discussion. If you can't
make it to the museum, then we'd at least love to see you here.
For either event, go ahead and RSVP in this thread!
Now on 3/26 I'll be across the state in Titusville, were we've got
another gathering planned at the Institute of Military Technology,
located on 710 Columbia Blvd. We have been granted a special tour
of the Armor Collection at the IMT. We do need an exact RSVP list
so please, RSVP in this thread as well, specifying that you're
attending this event. Lastly, on 3/28 I'll be stopping off
in College Station Texas for the Museum of the American GI's living
history weekend. While not at a formal player gathering, it's going
to be a fun event. I'll be around in my Wargaming America hoodie,
so keep an eye out for me!

being on a ship is that you have the room for equipment and
manpower to have a continuous flow of ammunition from belowdecks.

increase and decrease with cool-down times in the middle of a
fight. This is a gameism with no possible reason for inclusion that
I'm aware of other than that it has been decided that it increases
the game-play experience and makes it more fun.

in naval wargaming, and found the use in WoT to be quite intuitive.

Subject: Are U.S. players allowed to play in this?

Link on message: #8694748
Lert: So much nationalistic bullcrap in there .... But, besides
that, a few things you need to remember: 1) The test server
is located in russia 2) The RU playerbase is several orders of
magnitude larger than the NA playerbase 3) The test server is
typically populated by inexperienced casuals who don't have
anything bigger than a tier 5 unlocked and go "Wheee, look at all
the tier 10 tanks I can drive for free without needing to grind
them!" 4) The test server isn't there for you to have good battles.
It's there for WG to get live test data on their changes / updates
6) Looking at the time of your posting, it's prime time for the RU
server and the vast majority of NA players are still asleep
Points 1, 2 and 6 combined mean that, yes, there's going to be an
overwhelming majority of RU players on the test server. And
as for your question posed in the thread title: Well - .... Duh. If
NA players weren't allowed on the test server, why would they offer
a download to it, make a separate subforum about it and make
provisions for NA players to connect to it?

of half load blanks (was in the movie that they released at PAX
East), but I am still working on some live rounds for it. There is
a way to make a "plastic" projectile to load in the blank cases,
but I would have to turn some sort of sizing die and seating die
for the 75mm cases. The sound and recoil from even a half load
blank is pretty impressive. We were hoping to bring it to PAX East,
but the 9 feet of snow in the 4 weeks leading up to it kept us from
being able to get the truck/trailer down the narrow roads. Maybe at
some point PAX East will be held in the warmer months. Found
a video that someone put up on youtube of an event that we had
where I was firing the main gun: The sound from the
GoPro behind the gun is pretty disappointing, but is real life it
is pretty impressive.

as more work and therefore deserving of higher ranking. Hence the
reason we don't go by number of wins but rather number of wins or
draws against the number of games played.

because Skirmish registration is open for a week, there will always
be a delay from when we decide to make a change, to when that
change takes place. That delay happened when we changed the
Skirmishes last year and happened when we changed the seeding this
year. If we get the new gold prizing squared away before
Skirmish 12 goes live, it should happen then. However, we won't
rush it, just because some people are unhappy. While I understand
some don't like it, thank you for your patience for another week or
