The_Chieftain: Yeah,I also am unconvinced by the name, and I doubt Marines would
be massively pleased. With the two antennae , it’s more of a bug
anyway. As to the tank, I have had some successful games
with it, to the point that I can carry games, but I do find it is
necessary for prodigious use of the premium ammo key. Witness the
first game in this stream. https://www.facebook.com/WorldOfTanks.NA/videos/1504036533036063/

Lert: Very nice, Dinbatu. Good color scheme too! I did some more
work on my Oddball build: First though, I cut up the
four-link spare track segment that came with the Sherman, cut some
brackets from plasticard and attached them to the sides of the
turret like where in the movie spare track is kept

Very crude and not very detailed, but meh. It'll do.
Then finished applying the base coat:

Dry brushed some gun metal:

Black wash:

Sepia wash:

Not pictured: The tracks were dry brushed heavily with gun metal, then a bit lighter with rust color, then a heavy sepia wash was applied.
I liberally applied all washes to simulate all the dirt, Oddball said in the movie he liked to keep his tanks dirty so it looked like they came directly from the front lines.
And that's where it sits now.

The_Chieftain: It’s a relatively common fitting. Often known as a Legality Plank
in Formula 1, it is one of those things which gets inspected after
the race, and it is well known that if the plank is too worn, the
vehicle will be disqualified. 0.2mm will do it, let alone 1.2.

team sync. I think it would be cool if WG Employees had a Sheriff
Camo pattern they could take on/off of their tanks which would
enable/disable Sheriff status. I don't mind being focused every now
and then (let's be real, happens enough just because of the WGA
tags
) but I would certainly like the
ability to disable it.
As for community Sheriffs, it's a cool idea. Would be hard to keep them accountable, however. I did hear of some WGLNA folks breaking some rules on their Sheriff accounts a few years ago. We like to err on the side of caution whenever we can, and that was a learning experience for us.

MA77: Saudações! Estamos chegando perto de ver o K-91 e o Object
277 no jogo.
Hoje, o Object 430 Versão II entra no
Superteste. Este veículo vai mudar muito. Atualmente, o Object 430

DomoSapien: To my knowledge we only have 2 active Sheriffs at this moment:
Trobs and Junkers.
They aren't always on their Sheriff accounts, either, so running into one is currently pretty rare.
During our "Hunt the Pros" events, we have WGLNA Players running Sheriff accounts as well.
So no, it's not a scam, there just isn't a large volume of them out right now. Although honestly, doesn't that word imply that someone is trying to unfairly gain something from you? We aren't asking you to do anything other than play the game as you normally would

Any maps in particular you'd like to see featured in next week's guide?
Also: any feedback about the guides themselves? Anything I should do more? Less? The screenshots take a really long time to edit, so if y'all aren't particularly benefiting from them I wouldn't mind making them a bit less detailed.

cloudwalkr, on May 04 2018 - 02:50, said: As someone else above explained, that's completely silly to
use gold to buy equipment. I would have just
done the tank alone and given people a solid discount on the tank
instead of putting in a bunch of filler and charging for it.
Then done a bundle and given people the choice. It's shady to
me to run a marathon telling people they will get a discount on a
tank, then stack the bundle price full of filler crap so that the
avg person that made it to somewhere around the 50% mark will still
be spending ~$45 which is close to the avg price for tier 8's if
I'm not mistaken. That's my opinion
anyway.
CynicalDutchie, on May 03 2018 - 21:58, said: I mean this in a good way but converting gold to credits is
pretty much the dumbest thing you could spend it on. Let's say you
need 500k credits to buy a piece of equipment, that's the price
they usually go for, that's 500k / 400 = 1250 gold. 1250 gold buys
you 7 days of prem which you could use to grind millions upon
millions of credits and buy a couple dozen pieces of equipment.
Even if you just need a camo net which costs 100k credits (=
250 gold) you are better off buying 1 day of premium instead and if
you do it on a free day you could again, grind a couple of million
credits. If you happen to have some credit boosters you
could combine it with your premium time and you will get an insane
amount of credits.

player to buy? ^ Like this!
. Ok ok in more seriousness,
I think you guys usually do pretty good. There is usually the
'Whole Cow and a pig to boot!' package that is kind of like what
this is. Then there's the 'Turkey with fixins' option that
maybe has 100% crew, maybe some equipment for a more moderate
spender. And then there is a 'I just want a coke' where you
can just get what you want. Maybe its not a discounted
option, like 35$ or w/e new tier 8 medium stock price runs, but if
you reallly want the coke, but don't want anything else you can get
it for $35 vs. $45 and better value in other stuff. Another
option would be to simply include the more versatile product
(gold), so your value came to like $56 or 13,000 gold (something
like that). At least the gold is much more universally
useful. What would be super nifty keen is if it were
like ordering food online. Pick the entree, then add on
things you want with it. Like maybe you get the tank + 5
vouchers and you can use drop downs to select what you want.
Like for a voucher get a couple pieces of equipment, or like 10
boosters, or 4 garage slots, or 1 female crew member, or 1500
gold, or 2 weeks of prem, etc (and just balance the value of the
things so its similar). That'd be pretty slick. Heck
you could even make it so the more vouchers the player opted to get
with the tank the less they pay per voucher as high as you
want. That way it still incentivizes spending more to save
more but in a more tailored approach. *Food
analogies....

specific reason why sales happen the way they do.
While yes bundles do come with a bunch of extra's that some players
don't like, there is a solo option to buy the Tank coming soon.
There was also an event for players to purchase the brand new tank
at a discount if players had the time. Yea it's probably not
going to be easy since Wargaming is doing this for a brand new Tier
VIII Premium tank. If other tanks in the past never got a solo
purchase chance you can see that Wargaming does change it up it's
sales. I am saying this again for everyone quoted to be sure that
it is known about this Tank in particular. I can't control what
happened in the past but if there is anything to take away from
Wargaming is that this is a very adaptable company.
Feedback from players is put into the game. 9.18 was brought to you
by global feedback for all Tanks including Arty. Range indicators,
alternate Arty views, and Match Maker changes are all started from
player concerns. Some changes are more welcomed than others
obviously and there is no way to make every player ecstatic about
them. If you would like to assist in the future of the game then
please take part in our common Test, or Sandbox tests.
I use gold to buy equipment cause I am bad at the game. Have

Subject: [ST] New Soviet Tanks
Link on message: #11633314
Link on message: #11633314
Gnomon: Howdy Boom Jockies! Hope you are having a great Friday!
I wanted to let you know about a couple of Soviet tanks and the
supertest.
First off, the K91 and the Object 277 are even closer to arriving in the game.
In case you don't remember, these are the mysterious Tier X tanks in the Soviet tech-tree, currently in storage and under wraps. But, we’ll be showing them to the world soon enough as we’re almost done defining their roles in the game. The Supertests have shown these tanks’ viability, and we’ll stick to the initial concepts: a fire-support medium (the K91) and a mobile-assault heavy (the Object 277).
Since we’ve dealt with the top tier vehicles, let's talk about their predecessors! Today, we’re launching the Supertest for the Object 430 Version II. Currently, the Object 430 Version II is a close-range fighter (with decent armor and alpha) but mediocre aiming. The Supertest version is like a (now found) missing link between the Object 416 and the K91: a rear-turret medium with an excellent gun featuring good stabilization. With only a small amount of armor, and a smaller HP pool (down to 1600), the new Object 430 Version II will leave brawling behind, excelling at being a very agile sniper that moves constantly around the map.
Why are we redefining the
Object 430 Version II this way, you may ask? Well, the Object 416
is very popular with players, so we have decided to adopt its
gameplay as a model for the entire Soviet rear-turret mediums
branch.
We hope this has given you an idea of the tanks mentioned above (based on their gameplay roles). We’ll share their final specs shortly before they show up in the game. When will it happen? Relatively soon, close to this summer.
Make sure to follow the news on the official site, and we’ll make sure to keep supertesting tanks and keeping you updated. Let us know what you think! See you on the battlefield!

Subject: [Supertest] Nuevos Vehículos Soviéticos - Parte II
Link on message: #11633305

Felipe6666Original: ¡Saludos, tanquistas!

Jambijon: Hey Tankers! With the On Track for the Centurion Action X
event running I wanted to do the same thing I did with the T110E5
On Track. Of course, I’m no means a pro but I just wanted to
share my experiences and opinions about the pros and cons I found
with the line.Like always, criticism and/or advice that may help
others grinding through the line is very much appreciated! To
start, the Action X line was, to say the least, challenging but
extremely fun. On track credit discounts:Tiers I - V 50%

Pros:SPEEDY Decent gun depression

expected Can’t mount Vertical Stabilizer Inaccurate gun My
Research Path:Engine Tracks Gun Turret Gun - Howitzer for fun
Engine Gun Radio The Cromwell, and it's premium counterpart
the Cromwell B, are among my favorite medium tanks.
Seriously, if you haven't had the pleasure of running 3 Cromwell's
in a platoon I highly recommend you do it and experience the power
of the wolf pack swarm. It's speed will tempt you to push far
into enemy territory so it's best to resist the urge unless
you are certain you have adequate cover and an escape
plan. Fantastic reload time and the shells are pretty cheap
too so don't be afraid to talk your "pot shots." Tier VII
Comet:
Pros:Amazing gun depression
Punishable high rate of fire and with good accuracy to boot Decent
speed Did I say gun depression? (-12 degrees)
Cons:Very thin armor and flat angles
Unreliable gun penetration Traverse speed is very
slow My Research Path:Engine Tracks Turret Gun (77mm)
Radio The Comet is easily becoming one my go to "lets have
some fun" tank. I'm a sucker for anything -10 degrees or less
gun depression. There's nothing worse when you barely hit a
slight incline when engaging someone and your shell sails over them
like a joke from Frasier told to a 5 year old. Tier VIII
Centurion I:
Pros:Like its predecessor,
excellent gun depression Ridge line warrior Great pen on top tier
gun Good turret armor once upgradedCons:Hull armor seems
non-existent Aim time is pretty high on top gun Bad concealement
Prone to module damage Stock grind is a nightmare My Research
Path:Tracks Turret Engine Gun - (Saved up for A Barrel) Engine
Radio Coming from the Comet it is a little odd jumping into
the Centurion I. They play pretty similar but it feels like
the great things you had in the Comet (speed/gun handling) are
sluggish. However, the top tier gun feels really good.
I rarely found myself in a situation where it was logical to use
premium rounds. There's nothing ground breaking about this
tank but it is fun to play for sure and especially if you like
playing the ridge line. I recommend having an auto fire
extinguisher equipped. This thing loves fire. Tier
IX Centurion 7/1:
Pros:-10 degrees of gun
depression Top tier gun is just amazing High pen HESH shells Great
turret armor Good acceleration Cons:Large body for a medium
Low concealment Shot bloom on the move or turning is very large DPM
takes a hit from the reload time Susceptible to crew/module
damage My Research Path:Gun Tracks Turret Engine Gun (105mm)
Engine Radio I generally can't stand having an extremely slow
engine when I'm grinding a new tank but I was pleasantly surprised
at the stock version of the Centurion 7/1. It's not a pain to
grind through at all in my opinion. The stock gun is
definitely "doable" though you may want to go for the B Barrel for
the extra DPM. It may have a slower top speed but it gets up hills
just fine and that's the main priority for this tank. Also,
the HESH rounds are just mean and I love them, but they are
expensive. Tier X Centurion Action
X:
Pros:Great gun depression
High alpha with good accuracy Excellent turret traverse
Handles different terrain really well Heavily armored and sloped
turretCons:Giant hull with thing armor Low concealment Ammo
rack and tracks gets hit a lot Though I haven't had a lot of
time with the Action X I can say that progressing through the line
definitely prepares you for its play style. Like the tanks
before, you are going to be sticking to cover and ridge lines while
you snipe. I haven't had much positive experiences using this
tank to "brawl" up close with other mediums. That's not to
say it can't be done, I may have just not gotten the hang of
it. However, the gun is fantastic (when stationary).
The shell velocity is great and makes it pretty easy to lead your
shots on moving targets. That's it! Hope my experiences
were able to help you out in any way!Though I don't agree with
everything he says, Quickybaby has a really solid review of the

Gun - Howitzer for fun Engine Gun Radio The Cromwell, and
it's premium counterpart the Cromwell B, are among my favorite
medium tanks. Seriously, if you haven't had the pleasure of
running 3 Cromwell's in a platoon I highly recommend you do it and
experience the power of the wolf pack swarm. It's speed will
tempt you to push far into enemy territory so it's best to
resist the urge unless you are certain you have adequate
cover and an escape plan. Fantastic reload time and the
shells are pretty cheap too so don't be afraid to talk your "pot
shots." Tier VII Comet:
Pros: Amazing gun depression
Punishable high rate of fire and with good accuracy to boot Decent
speed Did I say gun depression? (-12 degrees)
Cons: Very thin armor and flat angles
Unreliable gun penetration Traverse speed is very slow
My Research Path: Engine Tracks Turret Gun (77mm) Radio The
Comet is easily becoming one my go to "lets have some fun"
tank. I'm a sucker for anything -10 degrees or less gun
depression. There's nothing worse when you barely hit a
slight incline when engaging someone and your shell sails over them
like a joke from Frasier told to a 5 year old. Tier VIII
Centurion I:
Pros: Like its predecessor,
excellent gun depression Ridge line warrior Great pen on top tier
gun Good turret armor once upgraded Cons: Hull armor seems
non-existent Aim time is pretty high on top gun Bad concealement
Prone to module damage Stock grind is a nightmare My
Research Path: Tracks Turret Engine Gun - (Saved up for A Barrel)
Engine Radio Coming from the Comet it is a little odd
jumping into the Centurion I. They play pretty similar but it
feels like the great things you had in the Comet (speed/gun
handling) are sluggish. However, the top tier gun feels
really good. I rarely found myself in a situation where it
was logical to use premium rounds. There's nothing ground
breaking about this tank but it is fun to play for sure and
especially if you like playing the ridge line. I recommend
having an auto fire extinguisher equipped. This
thing loves fire. Tier IX Centurion 7/1:
Pros: -10 degrees of gun depression Top tier gun is just amazing
High pen HESH shells Great turret armor Good acceleration
Cons: Large body for a medium Low concealment Shot bloom on the
move or turning is very large DPM takes a hit from the reload time
Susceptible to crew/module damage My Research Path: Gun
Tracks Turret Engine Gun (105mm) Engine Radio I generally
can't stand having an extremely slow engine when I'm grinding a new
tank but I was pleasantly surprised at the stock version of the
Centurion 7/1. It's not a pain to grind through at all in my
opinion. The stock gun is definitely "doable" though you may
want to go for the B Barrel for the extra DPM. It may have a slower
top speed but it gets up hills just fine and that's the main
priority for this tank. Also, the HESH rounds are just mean
and I love them, but they are expensive. Tier X
Centurion Action X:
Pros: Great gun
depression High alpha with good accuracy Excellent turret
traverse Handles different terrain really well Heavily armored and
sloped turret Cons: Giant hull with thing armor Low
concealment Ammo rack and tracks gets hit a lot Though
I haven't had a lot of time with the Action X I can say that
progressing through the line definitely prepares you for its play
style. Like the tanks before, you are going to be sticking to
cover and ridge lines while you snipe. I haven't had much
positive experiences using this tank to "brawl" up close with other
mediums. That's not to say it can't be done, I may have just
not gotten the hang of it. However, the gun is fantastic
(when stationary). The shell velocity is great and makes it
pretty easy to lead your shots on moving targets. That's
it! Hope my experiences were able to help you out in any way!

others grinding through the line is very much appreciated! To

The credit boosters are actually pretty nice, but still doesn't
make up for the inflated bundle price filled with crap.
Bottom line is you're selling an inflated bundle with a bunch of
things you can buy with credits made FROM THE PREMIUM TANK YOU'RE
SELLING. It's a marketing ploy, stop passing it off like
you're looking out for us.
