..well not that inside. I call
the short 10.5cm the marshmallow gun since it's a low velocity,
diameter gun and the T-44's top gun costs 1k per round to fire at
this stage so just some silly references.
But really, congrats everybody. Some great work.

Skyhigh, on 03 June 2010 - 09:39 PM, said: How will the territories be given away when this mode first starts
up? Based on clan size or something like that, or will each clan
get 1 territory to start and advance from there?

Link on message: #9564

Jeremy Taylor: New clans wiil enter the mode by having a chance to fight a battle
for one of the coastal provinces. If they kick the owner out, that
province will be their new home, from where they will expand deeper
into the continent.

believe you mentioned before that you were doing a world map, is
this still planned?

Link on message: #9563

Jeremy Taylor: At the very beginning, we will start from the western boards of
Germany to Volga and from Scandinavian countries to Romania. We
will be gradually adding new territories to the global map
embracing the globe. Thus, WoT players will have a chance to fight
for Moscow the same as for New York or Tokyo. We are expecting to
have hundreds of clans from all over the world fighting for global
domination.

Archives\Junkyard\Tank tree selection/leveling
Link on message: #9293
SpaceBonobo, on 29 May 2010 - 09:59 AM, said: After seeing the full tank trees, I'm wondering how leveling and
tank choice will work. I noticed a lot of "dead-ends" on the tree.
Does this indicate that you will need to level up a separate crew
for each tank line (like in Navyfield)? Or do we have the choice of
leveling to the tank in the dead-end line, then working on another
branch after?

Link on message: #9293

Jeremy Taylor: World of Tanks has its leveling system that makes it become related
to RPG. Referring to Germany, the player starts with a historically
accurate small tank called Leichtetraktor and then upgrades to the
top tank Maus of the 10th level (famous super heavy prototype).
Player may choose one of several tech trees or may level up
different types of fighting vehicles at the same time. Moreover,
player may level up different panzers of different nations. Each
fighting vehicle has a number of modifications to be upgraded as
well like turret, guns, tracks and radio. And each module
modification stays within the bounds of historical correctness.
Regarding that players will have 150 models of fighting vehicles in
the release version and nearly 350 will be added later, there's
actually no "dead-end" in World of Tanks
. The only possible dead-end I see
here is to collect all the panzers available in the game and max
them out.

Subject:
News from the Front\Discussion of News Articles\Full Tank Trees Revealed
Link on message: #9148

Link on message: #9148
Jeremy Taylor: Let's take the Soviet tree as an example. The Soviet "due-to-release" tank
tree represents the fighting vehicles from USSR you'll see in
the release version, Fall, 2010. The full Soviet tank tree
includes more panzers that will be added to the basic release tree
gradually. Thus, you'll see 36 Soviet vehicles in the release and
25 more will be added later on. And by the way, almost all the
release panzers from Germany and USSR will be available in
the beta.
