merig00: And 5.1 surround sound. Though it's my HTPC setup so not very
powerful and wireless keyboard/mouse doesn't help so usually I
stick to my 19" monitor and desktop but it is fun.

ARGO: I remember it like it was yesterday. We were all on that map with
the mountains, trails, and swamps. We had an MS1, they had an IS4.
We were in trouble. At the countdown there were a few snears about
being stuck with the MS1 and how it was taking a slot that could
have been a game changer, little did they know that the MS1 would
be the game changer. The battle proceeded and went back and fourth
until there was just 2 tanks left. Yup, the MS1 and the IS4 both at
100% health. I remember the MS1 driver's name "Priest" and he was
heading away from the enemies base and the IS4 was following. We
said "Priest what the heck are you doing"?!!!! He replied, I'm
winning the game for you. He then lured the IS4 all the way to our
base ran past him shooting then ran to the enemies base and began
the capture. The IS4 was so raged he turned and headed back to his
base to kill Priest, He failed and Priest capped. Everyone was
cheering him on "Go Priest Go!!!

ARGO: We all have our favorites, Some like a 107mm on thier KV. Some
swear by their 88mm on thier Tiger. I for one think the original
turret on my IS works far better than the upgrade. But tell us what
combination of parts really seems to work for you? Russian or
German tanks.

the next tank, your tank becomes "Elite" tank. See it has a golden
tank symbol next to its name? As an elite tank you can convert your
tank experience into free experience for gold (that's what you did)
or chose to speed up your crew training instead.

merig00: Rate of fire sometimes also depends on the turret you have that's
why you have several numbers. Aiming time right now tells you how
fast the aiming circle can contract from 3 times minimum size to
the minimum size.

ARGO: I am glad to see a lot of players who care, NinjaFroggie I have
seen play and he is definately a good sportsman in my book. I
really think this game will be something special and I look forward
to playing with all of you but again I am sure you all have seen
less than admirable actions by peeps ingame that I and my mates
decieded to nip it by offering help.
Nothing is more disheartening to the new guys than being all excited about a game and then have some Darwinian genious completely ruin it by running the guy into the ground repeatedly just because the new guys not skilled and or has a big enough tank.
When I started, I watched player like Mr. Vicc and Froggie as well as asked a lot of questions in forum but this game is more than others a definate "hands on" type of learning. Because the game is all over the globe, we will need peeps all over the world to be the "big brother" and look out for the little guys out there while they are learning. Even if you can't do it in training, It can be done ingame too. I am currently looking into times to run a training ground to match my time zone.

1.random battles.
2.team battles.
3.championships.
4.historical campaigns.
5.clan wars.
All of the above except championships and clan wars can be created by players. So yes you'll be able to play team vs team in team battles or in historical campaigns. Also a hardcore mode should be available for all of those.

ARGO: Well that's the thing, I myself run a teaching clan "Kilroy Squad"
located in the clans section of this forum under "Soldiers With
Attitude" and even though clans are nice, they usually tend to be
"members only" when it comes to a lot of things and frankly some
people are not into the clan thing so I figure just help promote
basic training and good sportsmanship and let the players then
decied if they want to shop for a clan. Either way and no matter if
or what clan they join I am sure ALL players in the community will
benifit from informed players with proper training and nurture good
ideals.

ARGO: Last night me and a couple of friends decieded take some time from
grinding points and go into a training server we made to give my
new IS tank a good look and see what it was capible of against my
buddies K3. As we were chumming around waiting for the match to
begin, I noticed a Leichtracktor waiting in the line up. Really
didn't think much of it.
Anyway we began the match and the Traktor was on the opposing team consisting of 1. wespe 1. VK3601 1. KV3....I know, sounds a bit unfair right? but the idea was to test my tank in a bad scenario. Well I had managed to get past the VK3601 "with 50% health" and began my attack on the KV3 when all of a sudden I felt this nudge on my tank. Iscrolled back to see what it was and theres the Leichtraktor banging into me. He was trying to get my attention on the chat because he was asking me question about how to play the game...He was as new as they come. Poor guy didn't even know he was the enemy. Sure I could have horrified the guy and popped em silly but instead I halted the battle and myself and the other began talking with him and trying to show him how to play.
He was full of questions and we took the time to give the guy help. It seems what I am trying to say is I had forgotton how hard it was breaking into the game and how annoying it was getting my butt blown off in those earlier tiers so my question to you all is simple:
What do you all think about occasionaly running training games for the new guys? I think it would benifit us all to help hone a good crop of new players by assisting in teaching them good habits ingame, lord knows we have enough griefers, glory hounds and spoil sports.
