:P

MrVic: haha :) Actually figure it kinds fits given how much we love duct tape. Actually was created in WW2

Quote Duct tape, or duck tape, is cloth or scrim backed pressure sensitive tape often sealed with polyethylene. It is very similar to gaffer tape which was designed to be cleanly removed, which this tape is not. It is generally silver or black in color but other colors are available. With a standard width of 17⁄8 inches (48 mm), duct tape was originally developed during World War II in 1942 as a water resistant sealing tape for ammunition cases. Permacel, then a division of Johnson & Johnson, used a rubber-based adhesive to help the tape resist water and a fabric backing to add strength. It was also used to repair military equipment quickly, including jeeps, firearms, and aircraft because of these properties.

MrVic: So after some thought it occurred to me that the repair kits at least for the US need a change.
Its a simple change. Gold repair kits need to be changed to "Duct Tape" There is nothing better then Duct Tape to fix anything that is broken!

Cheers,

MrVic: Yeah troops nicknamed it and it stuck on the M47 and beyond. Then due to the hull being reused and the name for the M47, they began reffering to the M46 with that nickname from the M47 on out. Its really semantics but its funny :) We sucked real bad at names and designations
